Made this rasam today using your recipe to the dot. Made the powder also. Have been to Karnataka temples and used to enjoy the food served there....Udupi, Kollur,Sringeri and our very own Kadri Manjunatha Swamy temple Mangalore. Had a happy and fulfilling dinner. Udupi rasam with potato curry. My husband smelt the rasam from a distance when it was boiling and told me that he could smell the same aroma of the food cooked in the temple. Thank you so much. Good Morning Sir, I would like to ask you for an advice. My mother has been the first great cook I have ever met. She always followed her in laws technique of doing Tadka in the end for Rasam. I have been lazy to follow her footsteps plus I always like to eliminate additional usage of vessels and pans. So I do the tadka first and do exactly this way you are showing. It indeed has a taste difference. If I do tadka first then the rest or if I do tadka in the end. What’s your experience? Does it have any scientific reasons?
