Omg..Chef, listen. I was restless until I made this. There was no Tur dhal at home and, I had to use roasted split mung dhal (வறுத்த, உடைத்த பாசிப்பயறு). The pepper jeeraa flavour is amazing. We are used to making any rasam with garlic. But, this is superb. Hats off to you, Chef for your lovely recipe. Many thanks. My rasam turned out to be great. I'm gonna make it with tur dhal soon, when I get some

I tried it today, it's its best of its kind. There is a philosophy called, 'Gustatory Memory' in food consumption. I kept getting this rasam's tast back to my thoughts every now and then for two decades as my mom used to prepare 10s of sambars and rasams in 70s through 90s. The version that you've shown here is one of them. Finally I could relish my mom's touch through your video here. Thanks, Bhat! I suffered from throat pain due to cold and thought of making melagu rasam.. So tried ur recipe and added a lil amount of kashmiri chilli powder and coriander powder... Everyone in family appreciated for making fantabulous rasam and I only had one karandi rasam left out to eat.. 😅 it was like a warm hug in my throat and was like a great relief for my throat pain.. In the recent video on pepper rasam you told that ஈய பாத்திரம் is made of lead metal. That is கார்ரியம் A small correction it is made of Tin metal that is வெள்ளியம். It is non toxic butut melts at low temperature. That is why we should not boil for long.
