@@CustomCreations_ well the shifter didn’t quite work, it was a bit stiff and if you want to shift you need a clutch gear because otherwise the gears will lock up and damage the gears.

I Did a six gear one connected it to my vacuum engine and the other end is connected to a big Heli blade and simply made a fan from Lego with choose able speeds
That’s a good point. To fix that you could probably either check out my clutch video, or if you want a simpler solution you could glue together the pieces that slide off. Hope this helps!

I would definitely recommend going with a power functions medium motor and a battery box, unfortunately LEGO discontinued these so you might need to find one used. I’m sure there are plenty of options though

I built this and used it for my LVE (Lego Vacuum Engine) and it works FLAWLESSLY And after a few tests i added neutral and 3rd and 4th gear to it.

I like the build, but if you don't shift fast enough, it locks up, and if you jerk it back to fast, it breaks off.
That’s a good point. To fix that you could probably either check out my clutch video, or if you want a simpler solution you could glue together the pieces that slide off. Hope this helps!

Can it handle much torque, I got a RLY to overpowered vacuum engine and I need a transmission

I made a version that can go in to three positions.
It could be done by adding more gears to my current design, but I think it would be better to just create a whole new design optimised for 4 gears.
