    I took your advice over 30 years ago on pitching and flipping. you used to say one of the important things to do is practice and that's what I do. I used to put my boat in the middle of the yard and put 5 gallon buckets all over the place and different distances and practice hitting each one of them.
    a lot of people that I do go fishing with are not big bass fisherman they are more live bait or a fisherman and they don't understand when I see a tree in the water I go right over there and throw my date right in the middle. they always say the same thing that I'm going to get hung up and at this point in my life I don't even bother to explain to them why this won't happen. thank you for all your good advice over the years I am so grateful that I found your UA-cam channel. Look forward to your next video.

    Roland, you’ve been a bass fishing hero of mine since the late 60’s. I watch your videos as time allows for and I’m still learning thanks to you. I’m in my 70’s now and as long as I can get out on the water, I’ll be fishing. Helps keep you young!

    I just took my first trip to Okeechobee this week and my guide spent half the morning trying to teach me this. I learned an amazing amount of info seeing first hand. I had a bad habit of loudly throwing a bait by something -no bites I moved on. The guide showed me flipping and pitching 360 degrees around some cat tails and he would find a bass when I did not. I will be practicing this. I realized I have wasted alot of opportunities over the years. I have probably passed many, many fish. Thank you very much for this video, that was very valuable info.

    If roland tells me to pitch a frying pan, I'd do it. He is the voice if authority. Love his shows. Love his expertise. Love his teaching.
    Roland is hitting the Frisbee with almost every pitch and flip. Just amazing. Just subbed. Cuz the Master is speaking.

    Thanks Mr. Martin, another great video. I’ve been fishing for 40 years but just started learning to pitch last year. One thing I’ve realized is that it’s a huge advantage not having to switch hands with the rod once the bait hits the water. I reel a bait caster right handed so I made a point to learn to pitch with my left arm to avoid having to do the switch. Makes me feel extra ready for the times when I get a strike as soon as it hits the water. It was a little frustrating at first but the effort paid off. Only took a few trips out on the water and some practicing at home. Long story short; I would recommend that if someone wants to learn to flip and pitch that they learn to throw with whatever arm not used to crank the reel. Just my 2 cents. Thanks again!

    • @RolandMartinOutdoors
      @RolandMartinOutdoors  5 років тому +1

      I switch hands but am ready to set the as it hits the water because my left hand I now on the reel before it hits the water and my right hand needs only to start reeling.

    Mr Martin, Your UA-cam channel is really coming along great. Thank you for taking the time to make and share them with us. I have been meaning to write THIS comment on several other previous videos...the only thing I would recommend is can you please use one of those clip-on microphones (the separate ones that attach onto your shirt)? Because unless you are directly close to the camera microphone it becomes difficult to hear you. The one on your shirt would allow you to move around and still be loud and clear for us. Thank you. Keep up the great work. Blessings continue for you, your family, and friends. +++
