I recommend using 6 additional rings, or create some with snare wire, to more uniformly hold the pipe round during burning it in. Keep those additional rings/wire for spares in the field. Wipe it down with alcohol or wear gloves to prevent burning in your prints, if that concerns you for appearance. WEAR GLOVES in this process!!! Sharper than a razor and not worth the risk!
