People get lost in the hunting experience, spent 10 days in Colorado wilderness by myself didn’t hear a single elk close but loved every minute of it. I will spend probably over 200 hours sitting in a tree October and November and only shoot one deer, I’m retired and can’t think of a better way to spend my fall. ( I have a very understanding wife)🏹🦌🏔️🏕️👍

where do the load lifters attach with this setup. I just used the minimal to pack out an elk and felt like a huge issue. No load lifters means the pack will hang way off your back and be super dysfunctional

Almost every item you listed is more middle of the road rather than budget. There are cheaper options at walmart, amazon and through outdoors brands rather than hunting brands.

The only concern I have is will the magnets effect my compass? In testing I found that even small magnets can effect the compass on a phone or GPS, getting you lost.

I’ve always noticed those damn bugs seem to get some how. Like they know you are about to open it. 😂😂

Sorry about that mate. I haven't been able to hunt with my dad for many years now, but I get to bring my son and show him what I was taught by my dad.

I lost my father on September 2, 2024, just over a week ago. While he was 86, he still hunted, fished, rode with an ATV club, and was active in his church. While cancer can be cruel, God granted him mercy and grace with a dignified death. I will miss my best hunting partner dearly! ❤

I've been impressed with Killik gear from Sportsmans Warehouse and Kings Camo! They've held up great to 3 years of backcountry hunting in Alaska and I'm bringing it to a week long hunt up the Dalton highway for caribou. You don't HAVE to wear big brands to get out there amd hunt.

What’s the output on high/medium/low for red?

Liking the HydraPak design. I have one of the pump filtration systems -- not ultralight, but cranks out the water like no one. On the tent, I have one with a similar design. I haven't had it in enough situations to really test out the condensation/rain issue, but I'm sure I'll get some on the front end of it if there's enough moisture going. One thing that has really help me is camping in the trees if at all possible. Thanks for the info!!

I have an exped plus, which can barely keep you off a stick on the ground. It is super light, though, lol. They make some cheap, super lightweight air pads now, so it's silly to pack a foam one. It's so small and more useful than just a 12x24 foam seat, so I strap it to the outside of the pack for general use.
