Enjoyed your flight to Grand Cayman. Our family has flown down there many times from our home in central Florida in our light twin engine aircraft. Once in a while the ATC clearance gets lost or shuffled to the wrong place creating an issue but usually it's un-eventful. The FBO, Island Air, does a great job of processing all our needs on the island. Glad you had a great flight!

That was a hassle for you, getting IFR clearance. I think I'd find that quite stressful!

Was there no way to pick up your clearance prior to departure? Beautiful plane!
We could have called Palm beach departure but it was a beautiful VFR day! This is the first time we’ve had to wait that long for a clearance. Lesson learned though.

As difficult as it was picking up your IFR, I can't even imagine being an ATC. Hope you get to take at least a small break on this flight!
Being ATC is for sure very stressful. They are an extra pair of eyes out there. 😁
Hey Capt. Val, I have not heard from you for quite a while. I hope you are doing well. I hope that a lack of videos from you does not mean that you have not been flying much. Probably you have been too busy to take the time to record, edit, and publish videos. Those of us who cannot pass the medical (A-Fib) have to do our flying vicariously through people like you, and Stevo1Knevo, and FlyWithKay, and . . . When you disappear for a while, I really miss you. Thank you for the times you do bring us along and take us with you!! I have really missed you, and appreciate you. As I say to my kids and grand kids, TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOU!!! Thank you again for the extra work it is to put out a video when you fly!!! YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!!

Audio is low/muffled and only in the right audio channel?
Unfortunately, the audio was not the best. I only managed to get one audio recording to work during the first portion of the flight. The issue in Part 2 gets resolved eventually; it turned out the cables weren't fully plugged in, which I hadn't realized. One camera with (on my left side) didn’t record at all. So my options were limited.
@@SkylineBaronPilot ok. you can probably gain the volume in the editing and split it in both channels somehow if it happens again
@@DanFrederiksen I’ve tried to edit it in the Final Cut Pro and it was the best version I could get. I don’t think splitting was an option. Stereo, Mono left and right was. I will research that at some point. Hopefully I won’t get this issue again. 🤞
I’ve been playing with part 2 including the audio with issues from part 1 and was able to equalize the split and increase the left side. It’s better.
