Micke, I want to say thank you for sharing your passion for aviation. I recently (3 months ago) bought Microsoft Flight Simulator and have been obsessed with the game and I have fallen in love with avaition. I start my morning by watching your videos as an informational guide for when I play Flight Simulator and to look at the beautiful landscapes that you capture on your flight. Flying a plane for me is daunting but it would be an incredible accomplishment. I hope one day, in the near future, I will have the courage to get flight training and become a pilot myself. Sincerely, thank you and have a safe flight. Happy Flying! ✈ Glad you are in your homebase!
Awesome video as always Micke 💯 your filming and flying skills are great!! I got to love Diamond Aircraft from watching your ferry flights. Thanks so much for the inspiration. 😉
Servus, gute Frage!
Hello Mike, I have a question, why do you put the plane in a 90° angle to the wind at the holding point ? Thank you for all your videos, I am a PPL student who will maybe pass IR later and your all your videos are very interesting ! Julien
Hi Julien, when you do the ECU test you want the wind either from the front or 90 deg from the side. If the wind blows strongly from the back then the ECU could indicate a failure because some value might get out of the range. Normally the governor is operating only with wind from the front (because the plane moves forward right ;) ) and this is why I do that :) BR and good luck with your training! Micke :)
🇸🇪👍I buddy how's it going ok. Hope you are well and good luck🍀 for 2023 hope you have a awesome year. Brilliant vlog apart from the fog.but you was ok when you were landing no fog.take care buddy nice to see ya phil.
Always nice and professional flying Micke! Hope to do the same one day! Just wondering if similar ferry pilot position is available on the Diamond Canada side?
@@MickeLang Hahaha... I told you I don't work well showing my face on the camera. In fact, the way you interact with the camera and the viewers impresses me a lot. I wish I had this kind of ability. Congratulations again!! Safe crossing!
Brother Micke not sure if you know anyone with Diamond Mfg. But wouldnt it be sweet if they would put a wiper blade and a washer fluid tank on there aircraft lol.
Hallo Micke grüsse von Argentinien. I´m so glad for you, you already reached 20K subs. You deserve it! I wish you at least 35/40 subs by the end of this year. (After that, I doubt you will continue answering my comments, ha ha). BTW: nice crosswind landing. See you next leg. Cheers from NE Patagonia.
Is this a normal practice where you fly-taking clearance while taxiing?! This violates several basic principles of good practice for me. Thank you for the video!
Use heading mode to start the turn then switch to nav. I'm sure you do that as well. How does that headset work in the DA62? I need to get a 4th set. Have 2 A20s, 1 Lightspeed, wondering if the noise reduction is sufficient or if you would prefer the A20?

THANKS ONCE AGAIN, AN AMAZING VIDEO. Yes , the ATC have such a clear and clear voice , in contrast to you , if you communicate with the ATC , for me it is not correct because you make it so unclear ! Are you overwhelmed with it or do you have radio inhibitions !?
Until now I had no ATC complaining about my talking. Also the quality goes down a bit when you compare normal intercom and radio calls so maybe that‘s it. Thanks for watching.
@@MickeLang Oh I see ... my AP seems to always get it right and pick the shortest route/turn to a fix but I have seen it turn the opposite direction than what I was expecting when the fix is almost directly behind me and either direction requires a 180 degree turn.
It would have been nice if he'd given you the clearance before you started taxiing instead of during it, when you had to divert your full attention from taxi to write down the clearance. SMH.
I am surprised about the amount of switches to be flipped, items to be checked and fiddling with the screens. What if you forget just one thing? Secondly, to stand on that runway in bad weather conditions is discomforting. That aeroplane, which you snapped with your phone, came out of nowhere. One miscommunication, and you have a collision. I feel very uneasy flying through grey clouds all the time with no visibility. Once you get out, you might find yourself nosediving. Apparently, you get disoriented quie easily. With no visible frame of reference. And then thre is always a chance of a collision. You might pick up the path of the other aeroplane but if you get close things can still go haywire if the other plane suddenly changes course.
That's why you have to study a lot and to get good training and in Aviation this does not stop after you get your license, you constantly have to show that you are still on the level which is needed for a safe flight.
My friend, there are a thousand reasons to not do things, and then one day you do it and realise that you have an overactive imagination! Give it a try, study hard and you will be well rewarded with life experiences that few get to enjoy. Crossing the road isn't anywhere near as safe as flying if you're properly prepared, yet you do that! Cheers and best of luck - Dave
SAME THING FROM MOST OF THIS KIND OF VIDEO, WHO SAW THE AIRCRAFT FROM OUTSIDE?? JUST THE SAME INSIDE CABIN SHOT ANGLE, DUUHH WE WANT TO SEE THE PLANE TOO!!
It is difficult to understand why pilots have the urge to almost suck on the microphone. Today's microphones are highly sensitive and can clearly have more distance to the mouth. This avoids many misunderstandings caused by annoying "puff-puff-noise" and heavy breathing.
When he is on tower he speaks the International Language, English. It is heavily accented. Perhaps Turkish? The tower does seem to speak something else I can't understand.
