I’m not a pilot but I love watching you guys fly. Thanks for the great videos
aokey
Max you are without a doubt the best pilot on UA-cam. how you structure your videos, and constantly informing the viewers what you are exactly doing and how it works is just awesome! Hope you’re well!
Wow that is very nice of you to stay and it means a lot.
Thank you for being apart of the channel! Take care.
2😊
By FAR your best right seater Max.
What a great team you guys make! Citation Dad has to be proud to ride along with you guys at the control. Thanks for bringing us along too! Blue skies to both of you! ✈️
Thank you Mark! Glad you enjoyed the video and Really appreciate your nice words. Take care!
Both of my favorite "UA-cam Aviation Channels" together as one. Wow...Thanks. "The Causeway Bridge spans 24 miles over Lake Pontchartrain"
Not a good place to play chicken with your fuel levels.
That's the truth.
The CRM practiced by both these professionals exceptional...crew briefing on take off and landing are clear and well planned...great moment when Mindy reminds ATC they needed a handoff!! Good Stuff!!
Thanks Cappy! Glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate your nice words. Hope all is well and see ya on the next video
Great video. You work together as a team in the cockpit so well. I hope to see more of content like this in the future
Thanks very much for watching!
Really enjoying this series. Both of you make a great crew.
Max, it's a pleasure to watch you and your sometimes crew. I bot a new 1980 182 and learned how to fly it from Albuquerque, NM. It was on my bucket list and later it was on to other things. When I stopped flying at least once a week, I sold it.
It's great to watch you and your attention to detail, kinda reminds me of me back then. Keep it up!
Lovely co-pilot Max. Hope she stays with you because she will learn a lot from you. She stated that she is new to this,
Max, it's your attention to detail that sets you out against the rest. You don't make mistakes because you take your time and think about everything that needs thinking about. And of course Mindy is a great bonus to have on board at any time. Love you guys.
Hi Rodney! Thank you very much for your incredibly kind words. It means a lot! Really appreciate you being a part of my channel! Take care and see ya on the next video.
Awesome I love watching.. especially with a beautiful copilot..😍
25:22 Pontchartrain bridge is right at 24 miles (38.6Km) shoreline-to-shoreline; actual bridge may be longer over-land on each shore.
Did my instrument training out of KNEW! 18R is a fun approach over the water. The Causeway is quite the construction….but the Spillway is even longer! Hope you enjoyed Nawlins!
Good one Max.....Mindy has fitted right in.
I flew out of ABQ and AEG from 1997 to 2014. Love seeing NM and hearing ABQ Center again. Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks for watching Mike!
lol. The Get Outta Here transition.
Hi Max, Always nice to see the dynamic Duo in action again.
Great job Max, your flights / videos are always a breath of fresh air, and a brief time in the sky is always a joy.
May the angels and "TURKEYS" cont to guide and protect you and family as you aviate the Friendly Skies.
Was @ 5 y/o in
the back seat of a Tri-pacer landing at night, back in ‘56 first time. Landing here ALWAYS means something to me.
I have passed Lakefront Airport and crossed Lake Ponchartrain thousands of time on a train. I was (retired) a railroad engineer, and it was amazing watching planes land and take off out into the lake.
Ah that’s awesome! Yes very unique and cool airport. Thanks for watching the video!
It's always so much fun riding along with you. That approach over the lake was amazing. As always thanks for bringing us along and blessings to you and your family Max!
Thanks Kevin! Glad you enjoyed the video. Hope all is well. Take Care
Love seeing Schmindy on your flights.
Awesome always love the process, pilots in sync and of course getting Citation Dad around. Keep ‘em coming! Also the purple lens flares at 19:36 pretty special
Thanks very much Jay!
Was away on business last week. Great flight as usual. You and Mindy really make a great team. Fun to watch the interaction between you. Thanks for doing this!!
Thank you for watching Jack!
Awesome videos like always. Joy to watch with good learning moments. Your team crew work as a flying couple is great. I love the „Mike Mike“ connection. 😊(Mindy and Max) you both fit so well in this cockpit, doing a top professional job. Love to see more of this, MM in the cockpit. 🎉❤ take care.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. Hope all is well.
22 mile bridge, Lake Front...dangerous crosswinds causing shears because of buildings, often easy spatial disorientation on departure & arrival, & the site of my only FAA Ramp Check ever. All was in order & the brand new 152 could easily pass any scrutiny.
Thanks for having me on this trip, Max!!! So great to fly 2RF 🫡
Schmiiindy, you’re awesome in 2 Romeo Foxtrot! I know Max and his family enjoy your company and your skills! Great vid.
Schmindy is schamazing.
Amazing as well that one pilot can fly the damn thing.
Max and Greg make it look easy.
Another awesome video Max, you and Mindy work so well together👍What a beautiful approach over the lake👌
Thanks very much for watching!
Looked like the ground crew was just going to let the piece of brush make its way over to the engine. Luckily it didn't happen.
Well done...like Schmiidly as 1st officer...Great crew work.
Very calming flight to watch! Again I have really enjoyed you two flying together on this trip! Will watch on her channel too!
Thank you Nils! Glad you enjoyed the video. Take care!
Are you going to Sun n Fun this year?
The Causeway bridge , it’s 24 miles long over water
Max you 2 sure work good together. It musf be relaxing to share the work load with someone who is not only knowledgeable, capable, personable and very attractive too. 😉 I enjoyed the trip with you guys. Good job 👏 👍
Makes you wonder why she did not use the sun visor.
Sorry Terry. Had a spam bot issue. Apologize! Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Thank you Patrick! Glad you enjoyed the Video! Take care
You all have a great cockpit...both very focused on doing things by the book. I appreciate the attention to detail!
Thank you Jim. That’s the only way to do it! Appreciate you watching the video. Take care!
Rocks, paper, scissors.
Max: Drat! I'll do preflight.
damn that tumbleweed was dangerously close the engine on startup
The third episode of the long trip for CitationDad. He must be relaxed having Mindy there as well. You two definitely work well together.
Thank you Lindsay! Hope all is well
I used to fly from ABQ TO THE STAR pattern, back in the old days when flying was really fun, did it in a Lear 23 couple times . The wind used to come from a lot of different directions Santa Fe was great port , so great Churches and Restaurants to go to. Spent long time in New Mexico great area to o explore!
Nice flight ✈down to the Big Easy ⚜ with a great view of the Causeway Bridge! C-ya!
I mindy and cation max. How's life treating you both ok.Hope all is well. What a brilliant flight with awesome weather. With beautiful scenery. Keep safe and well and good luck for the future phil.
Get onboard so I can turn the heat on. Just watched the Orlando-Telluride videoad your Co- pilot Mindy is awesome!!
Mix bro you are a good pilot ❤in the world
Loved seeing the filed vs flown and direct distances! Another great one Max.
Thanks for watching Chris!
Coincidently, Max, KNEW is basically my build in X-Plane, a later upgrade for XP-12 just submitted for approval, so this flight was a special treat. However, haven’t simmed New Mexico much and will need to replicate this flight in 12’s beautiful Citation X.
The two of you make a great flight team, hope to see you piloting together frequently. Thanks again for the video.
Outstandng videos. I am retired and flew helicopters for 33yrs. Your videos show me what I missed flying fixed wing jets.
Thanks so much for watching! Means a lot.
I have been using the E checklist on our Mustangs G1000NXi for over a year. It took a bit to get used to it, but I use is always and really like it. I wish we had it on our G3000.
Regarding the Electronic Checklist, I have on a G3000 Phenom 300 and I love it. Very intuitive. You’ll like it.
Lake Pontchartrain causeway bridge is 24 miles long. The original span opened August 30, 1956. That bridge is now the west bridge with the east bridge opening in 1969.
Thanks very much for the info Jim!
Your videos are the most relaxing part of my day - thanks!!
That’s great to hear! Thank you for watching.
The Cajun pronunciation is "Nawlins". 😃Enjoyed the flight & team work.
Thanks for watching! And Ha good to know for next time. Take care!
That bridge is the New Orleans Causeway, its 24 miles long and is the longest bridge entirely over water in the world.
Please send your positive vibes, l absolutely love how calm they are and their love for flying. l need to fly for 5 hours and can't control my anxiety 😲😬😬😬😬
Thanks for watching.
Very fun! Love skimming those clouds!!
Awesome flight! The videos keep getting better and better! Greased it!!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
I watch your videos every night before I go to sleep here in the UK, I find them calming, keep em coming!
Thanks for watching!
Just when I thought I'd get a break... my binge watching of this channel continues 😂
Ha you're too kind! Thanks for watching. see ya on the next video!
You two make a great team. Cool video.
You’ve come a long way from “CirrusMax” days! Lookin good buddy!
Thank you! It’s definitely been a journey. Appreciate you continuing to be apart of my channel. Take care!
Hi I work at MSY Louis Armstrong Intl airport ( NO aviation board)! have a safe landing here and welcome to New Orleans! Flying with Signature is the best!
ahhh You guys landed at the Lakefront airport! Awesome!
8:46 @CitationMax went from his usual 'Yaw Dampener' to 'Yaw Damp' instead of 'Yaw Damper' like in the checklist - I call this a Win.
next time you guys are down there, try the restaurant in the old terminal building.......... good stuff.......
another video of you and Mindy at my local airport KNEW
I absolutely love when two certified pilots get to spend time together. It was cool to see New Orleans airport, except the last visit was into executive at New Orleans. Logistics, not so great.
Thanks for watching Ed!
The view looks great! Chico!
Every thanksgiving, I get cleared direct to turkey.
Max...how do you keep all the conversations straight?
Is there anyway to block out everybody but your plane?
It drives me nuts but as the consummate professional you handle it with ease.
Max, I wanted to thank you again for greasing your landing in Orlando a few months ago. My wife saw it from the highway and was left utterly speechless. She said that if she saw you in person, our marriage would be over instantly so she could date you instead. A bit of an understandable nightmare on my end. Cheers mate.
Ha! You’re funny. Thanks so much for watching. See ya on the next video! Take care.
bro thats not normal
Time for a new wife😳
Was that tumble weed FOD on the tarmac on startup😳😳🤣🤣
Hey Max…… Schmindyys mic is pretty quiet when talking to controllers but ok when just chatting. Just a note for next video. Ps love your work both of you. 👍👍😁
Hope you ate Brunch at the ROYAL Sonesta or Brennan’s you folks have absolute discipline in the cockpit … Thank you so much for video
Nice work as always…🔥🔥🔥
Great Video as always, want to see Max right seat Mojo!
I like this idea
Great flight...good job.
The bridge is the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Longest bridge in the world over water. Connects the North and South shore. In the middle, you could actually see the curvature of the earth
Lakefront tower: "You're number 2, turn off your phone..." I wanna laugh but I don't know why 😅
the IM WOLKIN HERE transition in new york 😂
Awesome video citationmax#1son. Your right seater ain't to shabby either!😉
Thank you very much for watching!
Chatty controllers! Great flight, excellent CRM, nicely done!
Thanks for watching Peter! Glad you enjoyed the video.
"The causeway" and i think 27 miles When i was with the red cross i drove over it during hurricane Ivan in 2012 Will never forget it. went over the the National guard as it was closed but we had t get to the city.
That is the Causeway Bridge. It's the longest bridge in the U.S. It connects the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain to the Southshore of Lake Pontchartrain. The bridge is 24 miles long.
It’s so funny if u listen closely; 99 times out of a 100 when a woman speaks with atc and says “gooday” or “bye” before getting handed off to the next controller they almost always say “goodbye” back but a guy speaking to another guy you almost never get the well wishes in return lol 😂😂
Yup, that’s been my experience.
@Rob Ryan Sorry Rob for the message from the scam/bot I have reported to UA-cam. Thanks for watching and I hope all is well.
@@CitationMax Ik this message wasn’t for me but it seems these days EVERY channel has a scam bot but it’s nice to know you actually care and take notice Max!
The bridge is called the Causeway bridge and it's just under 24 miles long. When driving on it, once you get to the middle of the bridge, you can see land in either direction because of the curvature of the earth.
Thank you for the info JP! Appreciate it.
Another great video max, you guys fly so well together, well done, very enjoyable to watch 👍
Thank you Leigh! Glad you enjoyed it.
I'm from Albuquerque. If I could live in Anton Chico, I'd do it in 2 seconds. I love that name.
Love watching you two fly together. Really interesting stuff
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video.
That's Lake Pontchartrain, the bridge is right at 24 miles long.
Thank you John!
another great flight !thanks you two!
Thanks for watching!
Hello Max, always nice to watch your videos, I recall when you were then CirrusMax on twitch with all those flightsim streams, you’ve come a long way. MrTchou
Really enjoyed this video
You gotta tell Mindy that saying ‘two good engines’ is a mandatory callout once takeoff power is set in CitationMax land! She totally dropped the ball there ;)
Ha! We do love that callout. Thanks for watching Andrew.
New Orleans Lakefront KNEW ⚜️⚜️⚜️
You two work great together. By the way I have have a check list on my MGL that I use for my Experimental aircraft but I prefer the laminated paper one because I made my own and custom high light different bright colors to pop up the sections for Energencies ( red colors ) and yellow for operating ranges even colors for Emergency light signal from the Tower when the radios die.
I love the crew coordination. I’m going to try to emulate @Schmiindy’s professionalism on my next flight with @bluemax6.
Question for you or the group.
I know how Vnav works but can you explain when one activities it while on IFR flight plan & ATC tells you when & how far to decend. If you see TOD approaching but ATC hasn't yet cleared you to defend how does that work?
I think you were talking about the causeway bridge in New Orleans I really enjoy the videos
Scott from South Louisiana
Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is 23.8 miles and connects Jefferson Parish with St. Tammany Parish.
1:00 to 1:10 what is that, a TUMBLEWEED going past the left engine intake during start !
I’m not a pilot so I had to look up the term IMC but I found out that it is the same as IFR which I knew from the military being in an aviation unit
It’s the dream team ✈️ 😊
Excellent video CookieMax🍪as always..nothing against the other guys u piloted with, but really enjoy mindy…one can tell the friendship and respect u both have for each other in the aviation profession. It Would be nice to see Mindy co piloting more off with you if can be arranged … being in different states guessing the logistics could be a hamper in arranging that.. plus I know Mindy has another job and her own channel ..guess what I am saying don’t make it too long for next time u fly together..I hope u gave Mindy a pair of cookie socks for her husband 👍 ..he seems like a fun guy in her videos ..until next time Max take care 🙏
