Found your channel because I wanted to learn how to get my first Black Bear, which I did 27 km north of Harrison. Anyway, you have great content and I’m kinda addicted to your adventure vids. You have some real potential with your channel. Keep up the great work!
Awesome job!!! A friend of mine got a cinnamon similar area a couple weeks ago. I've been out for a couple day hunts just outside Kelowna, but may think of making a longer drive to the coke! Nice cuts there! Cheers!
Nice looking bear! I didn't get a tag this year, but I want to go out tomorrow just to see anyways. There's a spot not far from me where there's lots of bear sign. It's kind of public for my liking, full of couples hiking in their North Face gear. It's fun to get out anyways and I might see a turkey (which I will be hunting for).
Great video and kill as always. I was just up the Coq region 8, the past few days scouting for the fall. Lots of great bear sign around, couple good sightings too. Looking forward to my first season out in Septermber.
Now i'm way too excited for spring! how much longer till bears come out there? up here in Fort St. John things dont really green up good till mid may. So theres still a few months to go
I know Rinella's voice when i hear it haha. I still cant work up the nerve to hunt bear alone lol. Love the videos. I live on the Island and live for the spring bear hunt.
Hey thanks for the comment. The cot is a basic cabelas cot- probably only 100 $ . The sleeping bag is a MEC draco- i think its -8 c . Nice bag for sure.
Nice bear. Is this around the Princeton area? Also what rifle do you use? I've got a 300 wsm and I feel like it's kinda hefty so I've been thinking about trading in for a lighter rifle.
Nice bear! Just discovered your channel and was surprised that I had missed it for this long because you've got tons of great content. I think I may have been in that area before. Its the Coldwater River from the beginning of the video right and also what is your camera setup for filming?
Hey Pat. Thanks for the comment . Good guess ! I use a gopro hero 7 black and a cannon rebel sl2 for filming. Works good for what I do, but I am by no means a professional!
Love your videos, even Part 1 when there was no kill, it was all about hunting , thanks ! Did you process the hide by yourself ? Just remove the fat on top of it ? How did you clean it ?
Thanks for the comment..if i only posted vids when i harvest an animal, i wouldnt have many vids! Skinned out the bear just to keep the meat, the hide stayed in the forest this time
Hi . I’m really interesting on hunting but never that before .also want to taste the wild meat like you too lol . Is there any chance to contact you ? I’m living in van . Thank you
@@skyedge6158 I've heard good things about Tikka. lol, always Appreciative of a good LOTR reference :-) Thanks for the help. I'm new to BC and new to hunting, so your channel has been amazing for me!
Am I out to lunch or was that second bear way to small to be shooting? No belly, all legs, small head, big ears. Seems like something an experienced hunter should be looking for. When I first saw the bear I figured he was just filming it for fun, never in a million years did I think you guys would be lining up for a shot. Tough to see.
Thanks for the comment. We certainly would have preferred to harvest a mature boar, but were grateful to be able to come home with some fantastic eating meat on this trip. In future I know we will be specifically targeting larger, older animals. Again, grateful to every animal for providing sustenance, whether it's a spike buck or a trophy buck, small bear or big bear

Dont give up! Kelowna area is as good as any, perhaps even better than areas closer to the LML

Very impressive job skinning & cleaning that Bear well done. I hope I can do it that well one day.
Now i'm way too excited for spring! how much longer till bears come out there? up here in Fort St. John things dont really green up good till mid may. So theres still a few months to go

We are in lower mainland. Heading into this area 2021.

Can you do a video on your gear?
Nice Video, Im looking forward to this spring.

Nice harvest!
would love if you did another cooking video with your new bear
Sounds like an idea !
he's a good boar, good job. what 's your favourite wild game, the only one I've had is venison.
Blackbear is one of my favorites for sure! Whitetail deer also very good !

I heard there is great bear hunting on vancouver island ! Thanks for watching
@@skyedge6158 There certainly is. You ever feel like an island hunt let me know ill point you in the right direction!!
I’ve watched too many movies every time if your videos when you poke the bear all I can imagine is he’s “alive”.... lol
Great video! Which butcher do you use?
Heading out this weekend! section 2-19!
Good luck buddy!
Love your channel . This year will be my first year hunting! I'm in region 2 as well
Thanks for the comment. Looking forward to the fall of course. Good luck. You're bound to have some good adventures !
Awesome vid! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. Got a special new video coming to the channel soon..
Nice to see a bear hunt with a focus on actually harvesting the meat.
Some of the best meat out there !
@@skyedge6158 I just can't shoot them. I just love seeing them and letting them be for some reason, but I get it if you enjoy bear as much as venison!
Awesome bear, nice hunt, stay safe.
hey man where do you go to get the bear processed
Sumas in abbotsford is pretty good
Great videos man, really enjoy watching them
Hey glad u enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment
Love your hunts. What kind of cot do you use and what MEC bag is that

nice bear! seems appropriate to listen to the meat eater podcast while skinning out your bear lol
Nice catch !
Nice bear. Is this around the Princeton area? Also what rifle do you use? I've got a 300 wsm and I feel like it's kinda hefty so I've been thinking about trading in for a lighter rifle.
Yes good guess. Nice area. I shoot a tikka in .308 . Great rifle
hey, how big is that cooler?
good shot
Looks like just off the highway cold water exit lol
Nice video buddy. Is this along Tulameen FSR? And is your buddy wearing Vidda Pro pants? Thanks.
Not quite. Tualmeen is a decent area tho. I think all 3 of us were wearing different versions of fall raven pants
Do you wear ear protection when you shoot?
Not while hunting.. i probably should.. definitely do when im target shooting tho, as time is on your side
Super cool! What camera are you using for your selfie clips?
Thanks. Either my gopro hero 7 or cannon Rebel DSLR

Which butcher are you using? Would you recommend them?
Sumas is good. And yes..keeping your meat clean and cold is the most important step in the process

Are you from the lower mainland? Im from chiliwack! Cant find your ig lol
Yes im on the North Shore. So far i dont use my IG explicitly for the channel so i dont really advertise it.
Hey, could you do a video on black bear shot placement?
Right behind the front shoulder my guy !
Hi . I’m really interesting on hunting but never that before .also want to taste the wild meat like you too lol . Is there any chance to contact you ? I’m living in van . Thank you
First step is to get your C.O.R.E . You will learn alot. Goodluck
Excellent job
Thanks. It was a good weekend !
you make it look so easy
You just gotta put the time in. It'll happen
Well done
What's the rifle you're using? Really enjoying this channel btw! Cheers.
This is my trusty tikka .308 that i named Aiglos - stole that one from LOTR , means Ice Spear . Thanks for saying so

It looks awesome but I can’t personally kill big animals like this.
Its not easy. But its about the whole experience.. if you eat meat, being able to go out and harvest it yourself is extremely gratifying.
Sky Edge agreed. Would love to try it once!
