Appreciate the 'bush karma'; I know I'm a bit ocd, but it bothers me when I see ppl cut their tags and leave the little triangles in the bush. Nice bear.
Awesome hunt! I am a firm believer in Bush Karma and it was nice to see that you were picking up discarded empty cans that ppl had left behind. I seriously don't understand why people would just dump their trash in the wilderness. We all should be doing our job to protect the habitats of the animals. Otherwise, we will be left with nowhere else to hunt in. Good work brutha!
@@skyedge6158 Yep. It's probably better to go out there and get yours first before the commercial guys start their thorough sweep through the Howe Sound from May to June.
total respect. Good job getting the bear. You are a badass to pack it out in the dark and proccess it. Just wondering what game bags you used ? those seem to be a must when I go bear hunting this spring and sheep hunting next fall.. Thanks brother.
Hey thanks for the comment! Game bags are pretty key for keeping the meat clean. I use a generic "cheese cloth" type game bag most occasions as I can usually get the meat back to a cooler quickly. For sheep hunting l, where you will be further a field, I would strongly recommend a thicker mesh game bag so that the bugs cannot breach the material.
I'm writing here coz I can't find the other video where you setup your canopy for sleeping. I saw in another video you use a small heather. Can you you tell which one are you using and you connect it to the truck battery ?

congratulations! Wondering what to do with the fur if I’m not Intend ti keep it? Cause it will be a mess at my apartment and I don’t really have a tanner for it. Should I just leave it at the bush or?
Bears are the only fur bearing animal in which it is okay to leave the fur behind.. getting a hide tanned professionaly is expensive so if you're just after the meat there is nothing wrong with leaving the hide in the field. The hungry animals will appreciate it
@@rongxuanchen6800 I think you are required to remove the hides.. would be worth reviewing the regs prior to pursuing those species. Maybe someone else can jump in here ?
Nice bear, man! Love the videos. How do you like the vortex diamondback spotter you use? And how does it stack up against the Leupold I’ve seen you use in older videos?
For the money the Vortex Diamond back is a great beginner spotter. It's quite a bit better than the older model Leopold that I had been borrowing. I'm happy with it. I will add that cheaper glass vs really good glass could make the difference on whether or not you can successfully count the age rings on a sheep and could make the difference on a hunt.
