Taken from us at the tender age of 44, all I can say is that God only lets us enjoy them for a little time and then they are his forever. Can you imagine the music in heaven, I can't wait to hear it, AMAZING GRACE!!!!
knopfler also plays on this track and does background vocals. Specifically, listen to it with headphones. the guitar parts by knopfler are on the left side and have a distinctive tone and mark's signature plucking
@@PirateRadioPodcastsNo. It was meant to be on the Dire Straits album On Every Street but didn't make it. He then gave it to Jeff Healy. Its so sad that two of favourite blues/rock men, Jeff Healey and Gary moore have passed away. I think by playing and listening to there music that they still live on.
уникальный гитарист с уникальными данными,жаль что его не стало ,я без конечно слушаю его не уставая .в его песнях особая энергетика , Джефф я вечный твой поклонник ! Царство тебе небесное !
FUN FACT: Unbeknownst to us, back in the day, via KELOWNA, BC, we were "booked" 2 open for JEFF. Long story. Would have been great to meet him. Maybe NEXT go round, huh? A GREAT musician, late night radio host, talent & performer! #RIP
What i always found funny about this song. Over a million copies sold world wide. Yet no one notices the cat like noise Jeff makes at 1:53, that producers left in. It's one of my favorites though.
Thank you Jeff for being a big Thank you Jeff for being a big part of my teenage years. Still rememing you..listening to you..Rip part of my teen years..still remember and still playing your songs
I found some old photos of Jeff and me playing at Blackbeard's Cove when he was shooting a video for MuchMusic circa 1991. He played great though he told me my guitar sucked. I had him sign it and it still hangs on the wall. It still sucks to play but it reminds of his generosity and friendship. What a great guy.
I would have to say, he ranks up there, with Stevie Wonder, on his piano's, as Jeff did on the guitar's! He can play guitar, better then anyone else I know, who can see, let alone feel the rhythm to his guitar! Just like Stevie could, with the piano's & keyboard's! Sad to know you left, before your time, in the fame! Remember, you may have left us, but you will never be forgotten! I say, Jeff is even better, then the so-called "king of rock/blues Elvis"! I first heard Jeff's rhythm to his guitar, when I first watched Roadhouse(1989), right after it hit the theater's! Loved his music, back then! Jeff has one hell of a voice, as well!
I'm reading your comments and Am Happy to see that Jeff Healey inspired So Much,Love and Admiration! Any Time I listen to His Magic, I recover the Hope in Humanity. THANK U JEFF!!! Q;oD.
I had some great memories of listening to Jeff while at the 50th Sturgis rally. All our campground neighbor's came over to listen to him and loved what they heard! Miss you Jeff!
He was such a awesome GIFT, to this World. It is ACTUALLY a better way to be.Stop watching , the videos.Just for minute, you'll get the true gift.: EAR SAY, seeing with your EARS ! HE WAS BLESSED MAN.
WOW, i just happened to notice this guy & started to listen to him & thought I would go & see him live. Then then I happen to notice a comment about his death & a Canadian, makes him even more special. I'm soo sorry to hear of his death
His manager, Alan Morrison had his hands full as it seemed Joe and Tommy were always trying to corrupt him. You can paste this link and see some rare, funny photos of Jeff and friends doin what he loved - just playin music. We played til four that morning and then he and his then girlfriend, Kim, called me on my day off and we went back on a Monday night and played another 6 hours. I will never forget it. I truly miss him and his influence.
I LOVE this - I've loved it for many years - r.i.p Jeff Healey - you were one of the greatest - I'm happy that I got to write to you shortly before you died - I hope your wonderful wife and kids are doing ok
(RIP Jeff)you are So gifted+I know your tearing it up in Heaven alot to look forward to when I+we get there there is going to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL BRILLIANT AWESOME AMAZING BAND that we have Never Seen +you'll be right there jamming So MISSED ✌💙
This song may have been the one that inspired me to pick up my first Fender Strat in my junior year of college. The last two minutes are like a rich, bluesy double helix of Healey's and Knopfler's amazing and unique playing styles. #priceless...
Haha, yes... "bluesy double helix", that's a smart description of this wonderful guitar duet. One of the best ever having been recorded, I guess. One completes the other in a congenial way.
I have said this before but I will say it again. Jeff Healey is the best guitarist I ever saw live. I saw Healey open for SRV and Jeff was the better guitarist.
Actually, Bonamassa plays the blues quite well as long with other styles. I've been a big fan from a longtime and I'd recommend " If Heartaches were Nickels" written by the great Warren Haynes. I also love some "Long Distance Blues" He's got something for just about everybody, check out his work with Beth Hart or BCC
AMAZING artist- INSANE solo- you are sorely missed my brother..

UNFORTUNATELY IT WASN'T GOD AS MUCH AS IT WAS MAN'S POISONING OF THE PLANET AND ALL THE NUCLEAR STUFF THAT THEY'VE DONE SINCE THE 40S.👍✌️🙏

Great song and performance. The song was written by Mark Knopfler.
Explicitly for JEFF?

I think one of the best guitarist of rock music.
As good as anyone
And blues! He got the blues in all senses!
@@timothymetcalf9304 dude he's blind
Mystifying simply the Best
Jeff was simply the best in my book. He still had so much to give😢
To me, Jeff and Stevie were and are the pinnacle of blues-rock music.
There's nothing compareable.
Gary Moore was something else entirely :)
My 3 Favs Stevie Ray, Jeff and Gazza
RORY! 😇
BB KING, although, Jeff was also there at the top.
Sorry guys but Jeff could play with the best and beat them. Why? Cause he could play just as well and Jeff was blind!
Still sounding good. Better than the crap today.
That's because music right now is all about *producers* rather than *bands*. That's what has to change.
FYI don't listen to the new old spice commercial complete garbage used to be for older white guys but they turned it into crap.
No one better
My worlds lately 🙏🙏🙏🙏
всегда
What an amazing talent... RIP Jeff. You are missed.
I love Jeff Healey... A pure genius of soulful, musicality and delight! ❤❤❤

Its so sad that two of favourite blues/rock men, Jeff Healey and Gary moore have passed away. I think by playing and listening to there music that they still live on.
Jeff Healey and Gary Moore are both my favourite blues rockers also! Both are just legends in their own rights 🤘🤘👍
