Not all kids are the same, love. A lot of people feel bad for military kids, and yes some of them have trouble. But I absolutely loved traveling to different places and making new friends all the time. Maybe I just wasn’t very attached to people, places, and things as a kid- and I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. Normalcy is subjective.

I tend to agree. I remember not liking moving even though we only moved 3 times before we migrated to USA. I still have 2 childhood friends 4 decades later. I’d be miserable living in a bus never settled anywhere for long. But every person is different. Some may be born vagabond and extrovert who love going places and snuggle with siblings yo sleep.

    • @michellewaldman8226

@@hannahwillis9838 The difference is that you chose to be in those areas and they were probably a private space whereas these kids are filed away very close to each other with no other option than to sleep there or go outside and figure it out for themselves. And maybe moving around didn’t bother you, but you were not every kid. Your parent(s) didn’t really have a choice in moving around constantly, but these ones do. At this age it’s pretty much what the parents say goes so the kids have no other options.

@@michellewaldman8226 I had to share a bed with my sibling and a room with both of my siblings. My parents did have a choice, because they knew the outcome of my dad being in the military and living on base, and still chose to do so; there really is no difference, you just see their way of living as abnormal compared to that of a military family. And Like I said, every kid is different. I’m not arguing that at all, I was just giving my insight as a kid who enjoyed it. The only thing I could have wished for was to spend more time with both of my parents at once, and these kids get to do just that. Lastly, like I said, I spent most of my time outside. I went in my house to sleep and eat dinner, and that was about it. I did my homework outside, played outside, ate all meals outside, and If I could have had it my way I would have ate dinner outside.

I love the ingenuity of people trying to make these tiny homes livable because of the situations they're in, but to knowingly put children through it, and not just one or two, but 5, they should know that this living arrangement is not suitable for that many people. It’s really the simple things in life & having family that love each other & will stick together vs being left empty & alone. I’m sure all those who are negative Nancy’s on here don’t think you have already thought about future plans for you family & how you are more rich beyond words than your children being seen as “poor” when they could end up with bad influences & not knowing 100% how much you love them. And he doesn’t look broke or rich but definitely not broke . The kids love it kids love being outside !!!!!!!!!!! . I mean once they get 12 -13 I’m sure they’re smart enough parents to know when to buy a home. This guy can sell his energy from his solar panels. He’s living an amazing life fuck the haters

Learning in a classroom provides certain life lessons as well, such as meeting lots of kids your own age, acquiring social skills not found in isolation with a small group of siblings, competing against other kids and learning to win and to lose, and to accept both and move on. However, there are also valuable lessons learned every day when traveling to new, different places. Both types of environments offer a variety of unique experiences and neither can replace the other. These kids will have adventures on their journeys which will never be forgotten and they will be exposed to new ways of seeing their world. Later on they may choose to go to traditional schools, but right now, this wonderful opportunity has presented itself and should be taken while it is possible. When I was a kid, my parents took us out of school briefly and we traveled by car to historic locations in the U.S. I loved every minute and will always remember how special it felt to be altogether as a family, learning about our country’s history while standing on the very spot where it was made, even standing in the House of Representatives while congressmen and women argued a bill. It really brought my world alive and I’ll always love them for that gift.

I think this is amazing! Your kids are going to grow up and be able to converse with anyone about anything! Some of these comments are quite funny because they’re definitely made by people who have a very narrow view of life. My husband and I had seven children, and we raised them quite differently than the status quo.. we homeschooled and lived in Africa for five years and have traveled quite a bit. They’re all grown now. The youngest is 20 we would never trade the memories we made with our children. And they all thank us and say that it’s because of the way they raised that has given them the worldview that they have now! Kudos to you both and blessings to your five kiddos!

You might as well just make the second story go all the way across the bus so that you can give your kids each a separate space. Like you can have a hallway, you can probably fit all of the kids each having a room. In each of the rooms they can have a bed with drawer storage for clothes and the at the end of the bed there be a small desk that could be low to the ground, you can put a cushion so that it is more comfortable, and you can have a cabinet. Also for the room and the front and back there can be even more storage, those rooms can be for the oldest. Even with that, the kids get barely any space for themselves.
