In regards to the cruise control copying the speed signs on the road, does it work for the limiter as well? At the moment I need to adjust the limit to the signage on the road. Will it happen automatically if I press Res twice on limiter setting too.
Start DashCam was a great surprise for me :) And to share one tip from my side, that I discovered quite by accident... On EQE or probably on any model that has integrated cameras in the driver's panel, you don't need to press button to select which side mirror you are adjusting. All you need is to LOOK at the mirror and it is automatically selected for adjustment. As soon as your fingers are above the adjustment arrows, the led light will show the selection for the side that you are looking at! Quite amazing feature really! :) Cheers!
Hi Nick, I have a tip for you: if you have Mercedes Me on your iPhone, you can also search for a destination in Google Maps and the send it to your Mercedes. Just put in your destination (by speech if you like), tap the box with the arrow icon and choose Mercedes. It will now send you destination to your car. You can even do this from your Outlook agenda. If you put your appointments in there with the address in the location window, touching that address will open Google Maps and again you can send the destination to your Mercedes. A third possibility is through the Mercedes office app in the car, if you set that app up with your agenda, you can directly navigate from your agenda.

Saw the heater mirror trick on one of your previous videos - one of the most useful tricks, particularly in the UK! Seemed to work in an Audi A3 too. The hold function is also great on Mercedes automatics, makes sitting in traffic less tiring.

Excellent video Nick. My boot regularly opens when keys in my pocket due to accidental pushing key fob button. Me and others I know regularly come out to car with boot open. Can’t be closed by pressing key fob button. Any suggestions to disable boot key fob button or how to avoid. Keep up great work. Paul
Thanks Paul! Glad you enjoyed it! I’ve heard of a few people doing this, I’ve done it myself before but I had a lot of things in my pocket so I kind of expect that. You can close it with the key, but you must be very close to it. So to confirm you can open from a distance but to close you must be very close. Hold it to close. (About a meter away) I remember reading somewhere that dealers can reprogram the key button to require two clicks. Not sure how accurate that is though so you’ll have to ask them.
Tip: if you have keyless go, you don't have to press the door handle with your finger to lock it, you can just bump your butt against the door handle and it will work as well, as long as you don't wear too thick clothes like a winter coat. This way you can lock it with your hands full.
Sadly changed my EQA for a Mercedes A35 Touring Edition in Spectral Blue, EQA was loosing way to much money even after owning for 11 months and offer on this car was not to be missed.

Thank you! Ah the backgrounds are randomly assigned per car. Some are red, some are blue but there are themes throughout the year with the seasons that change on their own. Would be good if you could manually change it though!

Sadly never done that before, I’ve had a look very quickly in the manual available online but it just states: “Due to their locations, have the bulbs for the turn signal light and reversing light changed at a qualified specialist workshop.” I assume this also means the licence / number plate too as I can’t see any reference to that. Only thing I can suggest is to do that exactly. It might be worth popping to a dealer on the off chance and you might be very lucky and find someone who can do it for you there and then. However it might be a little more complex hence why it says to contact someone who works at a dealer.

If you don't want to charge according to the suggestions in the route planning, how do you do it?? If you then have to charge with an unheated battery... How is it possible that you can't fix it in the software for more than 4 years? Any idea?
Climate control settings are remembered when you turn the car off. Unless maybe the guest profile doesn’t? As long as you’re logging in with your name on the screen it should remember the previous state. Not seen a car behave like that before, you shouldn’t have to turn it on every time
Nick, how can I disable the boot opening button on my remote key? I keep accidentally opening the boot from a distance just by sitting down with the key in my pocket. Thank you.

My favourites are the drive-assist features, as they can sometimes avoid mishaps, we all make mistakes. (my prime example is when I returned from a funeral and almost ran a red traffic light, the car warned me so I braked within the legal position but a wee bit abruptly) I do have an additional tip on the "#8 Unlock only Driver's Door"; If in that mode (I call it anti-hijack) if you press the unlock button twice, it will open-up all the doors. I use "#7 Turn off the key" all the time as it also turns off the keyless entry on my mercedes, so key-relay hacking will then also not work anymore. (so I do not have to put my keys into the faraday cage etc) I'm also not (yet) used to the keyless entry so I often accidentally close all my doors when I open the back-seat door 😕 PS: I guess we are here not to discuss (or disclose) the hidden engineering menu's?

While in hold mode and D is selected, is the car still in D, or does it select neutral in the background? For example, is it better to select neutral and then activate the hold option to save the gearbox? Is it even possible to activate the hold option in neutral?
No it’s in D, but the clutch will most likely have disengaged slightly. You can tell something like that happens because if you’re on a steep hill, it feeds in the power slowly. So the car isn’t under strain when you’re in D and in Hold. So no need to put it in neutral 🙏

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! Sadly I can’t control what the ads show, that’s down to you and your browsing on that specific device. But I do control the number of ads. For this video I chose a maximum of 4 spaces over the course of what is almost a 40 minute video. This doesn’t mean you’ll see all 4, apparently UA-cam tailor your ad experience and apparently your ad tolerance level to your session. So the only thing I can recommend is make sure whatever device you were watching on, make sure you’re signed in. As if you regularly leave UA-cam when ads show, apparently UA-cam recognises this and shows you slightly less than the average. Or sign up for UA-cam Premium, that’s what I have. I don’t see any ads, and although I dislike the whole subscription world we live in today, having access to 4 billion videos ad free, a finger click away with entertainment, tutorials and everything else in between is worth it’s wait in gold. Plus YT Premium supports creators more on every channel and you can download stuff for offline viewing on a plane etc. Today though, the ads you see is how my channel can even exist in the first place as this is my full time job. It still amazes me that this even possible so I’m very very grateful that I can even do this 🙏🙏🙏
Is there a way to lock your Mercedes while the engine is running? With a BMW you can lock it using the key and the horn beeps, but with my Mercedes in doesn’t work
Possibly! Sadly Mercedes sell their commercial vehicles completely separately to passenger cars in the UK so I’ve never been in one. Although I’ve heard they have some similarities with MBUX etc
I appreciate what you do and how you do it. But as a former Audi user, I can't help but wonder why Mercedes-Benz turned car ownership into a game of “The Amazing Race.” I mean, do I really need to perform a three-step dance routine just to start the engine? "Hold the up button, honk twice, press the brakes, and hope for the best!" At this rate, I might as well be auditioning for a reality show! I swear, the instructions I get make me feel like I’m deciphering an ancient scroll: “Press the menu button for 5 seconds, blinkers to the right, and voilà, the windshield wipers work!” What ever happened to the good old days when you just turned a key and said, “Vroom”? I miss my Audi-it was more like a loyal dog; this Mercedes feels like a cat that wants you to earn its affection through a complex series of hoops!
My video isn’t meant to confuse anyone, it’s more so if you want to get more out of your car. You can if you want, jump in, press the engine start stop, select D and drive. No need to honk twice and hold the extra buttons 😅 These tips are just some extra guidance for some more advanced use cases and hidden things people might not know.

Every button you press seems to have a secret mission as if they're all part of an undercover operation! Honestly, who needs that many hidden functions? Porsche and Audi are like that straightforward friend who tells you what they want for dinner, " I am craving pizza", instead of sending you down a rabbit hole of "I don't know, what do you want?" You can adjust the volume of them in settings Usually in HOME SETTINGS ASSISTANCE CAMERA & PARKING (Around that sort of area, there’s adjustments up to +5)
It varies around the world as always so some countries don’t have What3Words support on Mercedes. If you’re based in the UK, make sure the car is connected to your Mercedes account and everything switched on otherwise it won’t work.

How can I turn on ambient lighting in the air vents? C300 24 reg?
Not all Mercedes models have ambient lighting in vents, but check on the car under ambient lighting as some have zones that you can adjust

Sadly I can’t control what the ads show, that’s down to you and your browsing on that specific device. But I do control the number of ads.
For this video I chose a maximum of 4 spaces over the course of what is almost a 40 minute video. This doesn’t mean you’ll see all 4, apparently UA-cam tailor your ad experience and apparently your ad tolerance level to your session.
So the only thing I can recommend is make sure whatever device you were watching on, make sure you’re signed in. As if you regularly leave UA-cam when ads show, apparently UA-cam recognises this and shows you slightly less than the average.
Or sign up for UA-cam Premium, that’s what I have. I don’t see any ads, and although I dislike the whole subscription world we live in today, having access to 4 billion videos ad free, a finger click away with entertainment, tutorials and everything else in between is worth it’s wait in gold. Plus YT Premium supports creators more on every channel and you can download stuff for offline viewing on a plane etc.
Today though, the ads you see is how my channel can even exist in the first place as this is my full time job. It still amazes me that this even possible so I’m very very grateful that I can even do this 🙏🙏🙏
Is there a way to lock your Mercedes while the engine is running? With a BMW you can lock it using the key and the horn beeps, but with my Mercedes in doesn’t work
No sadly not, the key is effectively disabled when the engine is on.

Possibly! Sadly Mercedes sell their commercial vehicles completely separately to passenger cars in the UK so I’ve never been in one. Although I’ve heard they have some similarities with MBUX etc
I appreciate what you do and how you do it. But as a former Audi user, I can't help but wonder why Mercedes-Benz turned car ownership into a game of “The Amazing Race.” I mean, do I really need to perform a three-step dance routine just to start the engine? "Hold the up button, honk twice, press the brakes, and hope for the best!" At this rate, I might as well be auditioning for a reality show!
I swear, the instructions I get make me feel like I’m deciphering an ancient scroll: “Press the menu button for 5 seconds, blinkers to the right, and voilà, the windshield wipers work!” What ever happened to the good old days when you just turned a key and said, “Vroom”? I miss my Audi-it was more like a loyal dog; this Mercedes feels like a cat that wants you to earn its affection through a complex series of hoops!
My video isn’t meant to confuse anyone, it’s more so if you want to get more out of your car.
You can if you want, jump in, press the engine start stop, select D and drive. No need to honk twice and hold the extra buttons 😅

Every button you press seems to have a secret mission as if they're all part of an undercover operation! Honestly, who needs that many hidden functions? It's like the car plays a game of hide and seek every time I want to turn on the AC! Porsche and Audi are like that straightforward friend who tells you what they want for dinner, " I am craving pizza", instead of sending you down a rabbit hole of "I don't know, what do you want?" But hey, thanks for the instructions! 😃

My 2022 GLE450 doesn’t support what3words. Pretty disappointing.
It varies around the world as always so some countries don’t have What3Words support on Mercedes.
If you’re based in the UK, make sure the car is connected to your Mercedes account and everything switched on otherwise it won’t work.
My new style of key doesn’t turn off it just opens the car ?
