Earning a bond in free to play is harder than ever. Bonds are at an all time high of between 8 and 10 million gold and f2p is busier than ever. That said, there is one consistent way to escape f2p if you have a bit of patience... Flipping!
Today I am going to show you how i managed to earn a bond in free to play by only flipping. To make it even a bit more difficult I'm going to be starting with only 1 single gold piece.

As someone who is earning the bond in game instead of just buying, thanks for doing this "challenge" it gets boring but will probably be rewarding (havnt gotten a bond yet but just hit the 5m mark)
Bro just do some chores around the house and get a bond and save your gp to build your account faster, shouldn’t be buying a bond to play unless you making at least like 700k a hour minimum
@@patrickm5822 I'm 20, I don't do chores for money lol, I also just like to play like this, I do it in a lot of games (including Albion online) I think just buying the membership just removes most of the challenge of building an account AND building a cash stack. It's boring to me just to swipe a card

Once u get 5ish millions the money keeos growing non stop. I got the bond and extra 30m and still haven't used the bond
Zamora Full Helm is used for clues. I bet people are often buying them and then selling them back for the clue step since it’s only Master clues and so they don’t want to keep several hundred thousand GP locked up in a stash unit that they only use once in a blue moon.
That would also explain why the set is cheaper than the helm sometimes, because people are just searching for the clue item. How fascinating!
Buying an item and then selling it back shortly after doesn’t decrease supply and raise prices that much. The prices are being raised because most people doing master clues CAN afford to dump 1m into a stash just for the sake of convenience.

My niche thing in f2p was purple capes you could buy red capes in varrock , dyes off ge then sell em for sometimes 1k ea … because looking good is important. And purple is bis fashionscape

Historically, bonds fluctuate in price a lot, and it's fairly consistent that they get most expensive around November-December, then tank in February-March
Currently I've been cooking lobs for around 100k/hr and flipping guthix sets to save up enough to buy a few under the assumption that they'll drop to under 7m in Spring 2024
and if they dont, youll have to double the effort to get them next time u want them

@@instalocktaka9628there’s a limit to how much gp they will cost due to being able to buy that with irl cash. Like a exaggerated example would be if bonds went for 100m it would break the game at the price they cost..

I thinks it honestly really dumb that a f2p player has to flip or do shop hopping to earn a bond in a reasonable amount of time. F2p players aren’t typically going to know about these methods, so basically all of them are forced to do ogress’s for like 50k-100k an hour. Thats 100-200 hours minimum to get a bond for a new player. Jagex would find that they would retain more players if f2p wasn’t so bad. Or if they just fixed the botting issue, and f2p methods became profitable again…
It's getting ridiculous. I don't think I even came close to having an account value of 10mil back in the day. Granted we had to manually sell things behind Varrock bank, and thought things like Yews were worth while farms back then, but even still. No one fresh into the game is gonna come close to seeing that kind of gold.
@@bloodbane93 I don’t play very often anymore, I have a maxed combat account, almost 2k total, but whenever I feel like playing I have been farming Bryophyta to try and get the essence, or I kill ogress’s and make 100k an hour tops lol. Its a complete joke. But then you have people making 20m an hour at Nex and Toa. If they were smart, they would add a f2p raid, that actually earned decent gold via alchables, like 250k and it would actually retain more players who try out the game. F2p is so bad, that if you knew nothing about members, hardly anybody would want to pay to become a member. Its very unusual for a game to lock 99% of content behind a pay wall. F2P is where all new players start, if it sucks, they leave. There are plenty of other 100% free MMOs that they can go too, all being 1000x time better than f2p osrs. Which is the only experience they would have with the game.
@@TrySomeFentanyl for real. When things like Final Fantasy have entire RPGs basically for free, Jagex really needs to revamp the f2p experience if they hope to keep up
Not to be mean but have you ever thought they want players to pay for membership and not stay on f2p? Don’t get me wrong I might not agree with the prices of the game subscription compared to what it was years ago but you could easily buy a months membership and earn more then enough bonds to stay on membership without paying for it again..
Edit: also a more gp method on f2p just means more bots doing it..
@@entryman doesnt have to be the whole game, but expanding the f2p area to include Burthrope and Catherby would add so much content, and perhaps letting accounts get to like level 10 or 20 in members skills. This ain't 2003 anymore. People ain't gonna buy into rs mems just cause thieving sounds cool.

Also the guthix set(lg) is probably either members who don't have it, but also have a lot of gp or players who want to feel the nostalgia. 😂

Hey I think the Addy axes and legs are so irratic cause people use those things for high alchemy?
One odd item that I saw spike today was Strawberries. When doing farming runs I just grow those too as they tend to sell in the 190gp range each. Today dropped in a 1k stack at 195 and they snap sold for 350ea
Still going on too... did another batch of 1k at 250 each today. Snap sold for 365 each
Here's a flipping tip. Try pressing the lower price button or higher price button on the item to see what most people will input their price as since its a preset. Then you can adjust your price from there to get the best deal.

whats the GE plugin at the end?
I sometimes wish I had the patience to spend time doing flips at the ge but I find I prefer to just do herb runs and dailies to try to keep/maintain membership... that said I did buy a year of membership last year and I might end up doing so again anyway so that I can just reinvest gold into continuing to level my account rather than on just barely keeping it going.
I think something I should do is invest in augry and rigour asap since they'd help my pvm more than probably much of anything else at this point.

I remember I quit OSRS temporarily after beating most of what you can do in aF2P because bonds are too hard to grind for without being mid/end game. Realistically putting an investment of 1-3 months of membership then you can grind them yourself
I remember getting a bryo. Sold it for bond and grinded 2 bonds out of that 😅
I used the Twitch bond to get p2p and it’s been really grindy since I was able to get a bond just at the end of the two weeks but my account progress didn’t have as much potential, would recommend just going members to play and get quests and unlocks first
Do you trade stocks or crypto as well?
Btw I started a few months ago and went from f2p to p2p and now have 2 bonds saved up. I know I could buy the membership but this is my Ironman without doing a actual Ironman as a newer player. I saw one of your videos and was able get make a 1.5 mil from buying small fish nets. Thanks

Is the GE tracker that you use free?
I love this type of content and love to flip myself. On another hand I will say it's a little silly to ''escape f2p to p2p for free'' with the caveat of buying a paid supscription in ge tracking, no? :D It's a decent bit harder to do this without the added real time market knowledge.
Is stuff that is sold on f2p worlds able to be bought on members worlds? The zammy full helm is a master clue item and a lot of the Adamant items are clue stash items and if members can buy them that might be why the prices fluctuate since people don't want to wait for their clue items to buy for less.
What was your total playtime on this account?
in Runescape 3 they're like 87 million, they have been really increasing in price lately, I remember when it was only about 8 million

This looked pretty solid, the only problem is with the grand exchange, it used to have a quest point limit, but now it has a timer limit (I think it like 20 hours of actually being logged in for FTP), so that's a painful part for a NEW character, having to log in and not doing anything during that time. As you can't sell a lot of "common" items that are traded. How did you get around this? I mean a not newly created FTP account wouldn't have this issue, but "Just for a video" I am wondering how you in your free time got the hours in a account you didn't play. I must be missing something ;) Great Video!
I wouldn’t say playing the game normally is “not doing anything”
This is the type of video that should be redone a few times a year just for information sake on how game updates, price fluctuations and new items/methods change the META
These are for entertainment only, if you need a video every time you're gonna flip you don't really know what you're doing. If you want to learn how to flip any one of these videos is enough to learn the mechanics and the rest is just analyzing the market.
Probably some of the best items are begginer clue items? I always end up buying them for 500gp cuz i need them to instabuy to do the Charlie steps

I was attempting to buy a bond from straight gains. But a friend started playing which I never thought would happen, and their brother is guiding them and assisting and got them membership. She owed me money and said I should play with her so I promised I'd treat myself and buy myself membership to join the fun. 2 weeks into my membership now and fletching is almost 70, agility is 50 and we talk a lot about OSRS now. Afking a lot of the same skills tg. So it's been pretty cool
I made up to 1.4mil from gains. But it being 10mil makes it feel like an incredibly slow climb. So membership ain't too bad to boost my levels and money to hopefully get another bonds worth maybe by the end of my membership.
Back in like 2018 or 2019 4 about 4 months straight i made the wood staff stay at 400 gp and had a couple monopoly over it was good times.
I just took a 10m loan for my first bond now i can buy one everytime i need to, hit a burnout from all the grinding so will probably play again next year 😅
My f2p account is approaching 300m in worth. At this point I'm just logging in once a day to update offers. Once you get past 100m, I find it really hard to actually spend it all on nightly flips. A lot of the 300m is invested in adamantite bars and just sitting in the bank. My thought is buying the bars for sub 1850 and selling them for at least 1950 whenever the price spikes. Or I just smith them all into platebodies and alch them for profit.
I would’ve said be careful since GE prices can drop if bots suddenly started doing adamantite but if you have the smithing to make high alchable stuff wuth it then sure you’ve at least got a plan b
@@shroomer3867 yeah, smithing and alching is plan b. Assuming Nature runes don't go to 750 per rune, I can always smith the bars for profit. 1850 × 5 = 9250. Platebodies alch for 9986, leaving a margin of 736. Current Nature Rune price us 135, so I make 600 per smith and alch.
Current account value is now 373m. On top of doing nightly flips and collecting Adamantite Bars, now I'm venturing into collecting Beginner clue rares like Bear Feet and Jester Capes. The Mole Slipper fiasco had me intrigued, but I dont want to do Mole Slippers (even though they're up 300% in the last month).
Been waiting for this one.

I have made 17m flipping super cheap items though. Since I'm a skiller, I focus on items that I can use if the prices sink.
I'll try to dabble more with the pricier things soon, now that I have a good bank.

Because of osrs, how is your own personal investing journey going? Any mistakes?
My guess is there is botfarms that will sell adamant gear at broken price and bots buying them at very price so they can always sell and always buy so they can transfer items from one bot farm to another. Than the bots with the adamant gear goes to war against some other mobs

You should just sell the scimitar for 10k and once other people's buy and sell limits go through then yours will sell for massive profit, takes a day but it works
i remember mining gold ore for 3 months to buy my first bond back in 2011
i never have and probably never will buy a bond lol $20 is like maybe 45 mins of my time, making 10M could be 10+ hours unless i get ridiculously spooned... just doesnt add up at my current gear progression and time to play allotment
Given how easy it is for a brand new account to get just 10k gp that might as well be your starting point on a flipping to bond challenge like this.

Buying and selling clue scroll items is big money. Ppl skilling and selling items cheap. But clue hunters are impatient and buying big

I made 300k buying bronze bars from the general store..took like 45 mins..as I was doing this im thinking 10 mill isn't that much tbh if these types of things keep happening..if I didnt have to go to bed for work I'd be 10 percent towards a bond from that alone.

I went from no bond to always bonded up totally in game no real life money it’s possible boys build your stats in ftp so you never need to be ftp again after you make it out
