@@calebshannon11 yeah gave me PTSD too... for crappy oldschool runescape series. Seriously, wtf can you do in this game without taking any hp loss? Just farming views at this point..
This one is a lot better than previous video, because i think arbitrary level goals don't really make for a good metric on how far you progress on account. But getting specific unlocks through questing show how much content an account can partake in, as well as getting access to more gear and training methods, such as Giant's Foundry, Guardians of the Rift, Majority of Great Kourend and many more. Just pouring money into account and doing mindless grind may be good from specific alt accounts, but general progression goals is much better for mains\ironmen.
When i returned to the game i followed the optimal quest guide and feel like it launched my account forward so much faster then my original account. I highly suggest this method for anyone returning to the game or starting new. Its fun to complete all the quests and see how fast your character levels up
I always recommend for new accounts, if they can afford it, to get 43 prayer at the chaos alter with big bones. Only takes about 20 minutes and 120k if using big bones. And you have basically zero risk since you’re lvl 3 and most PKers aren’t below lvl 50 combat to kill you. But 43 prayer only costs about 240k with big bones at a guilded alter if you’ve already trained combat and don’t want to worry about PKers.
@@maximumcockage6503 because it’s 4 times faster, half the cost, and basically zero risk at lvl 3. Plus, if you’re an ironman, you can’t use someone else’s GA. So if you make a new ironman account, the first thing I’d do is collect big bones in wildy and use them on the chaos alter. Even with collecting the bones it only takes 45 minutes
Rag and Bone Man 2 wasn't too bad of a quest for me because when I completed RABM 1 I started RABM 2 and then didn't do the quest for like ages. What I did do was happen across certain bones as I played the game otherwise and kept those bones stored in my bank, so by the time I did RABM 2 I only had to go around hunting a few monsters.
I’m on my questing journey only 15 quests til all quests are done. RABM2 was the dumbest quest ever to me lol not a 100% drop rate on the unique bones, the lack of inventory space to do all the bones in one inventory the distance from a bank lol rewards weren’t really fulfilling considering I’m a decently leveled med level 😂 glad I got it out the way though
I will say I always loved questing in osrs and I feel like lvling skills and building your account through questing even if it's no where near as fast as being a bond warrior just buying skills questing is still the perfect way to play this game as a new player. It got even better since they buffed many quest xp rewards a while back

You were quite optimal at doing the optimal quests! I am new to osrs and esp so to learning the mechanics. However, I've been playing it constantly and have 23 days, 8 hours on my account. With that said, I am 146/160 quests completed! 14 to go! As a nooby, finding ways to make money was a struggle early game. At the bottom of the quest plugin, you'll see it has a "herb run" assist tool (which I honestly didn't realize until yesterday) and MAN do I wish I started doing that sooner! I always avoided farming because... well, I wasn't familiar with the map and I thought taking care of plants was more complicated then it is (it's quite simple). So making sure to do your birdhouses, tree runs, and herb runs is a MUST! I really wish I was doing it way sooner, would've taken away so many hours of painful money crawls. With that said, my playtime is inflated, as I've spent a lot of time at sand crabs while I did college work. Rn, I'm using the rec mid game melee set (minus a fire cape... I have plans for that, but I'm enjoying my quests... I've always wanted a quest cape!)
If you have 50 herblore, you could try making unfinished avantoe potions and selling them. Wiki says it's 1m per hour, you could get the obsidian set pretty quickly from that. Good luck :)
@@serenity8839 The quest extension doesn't, but there is a timer extension (I'd like to say it's default to Runelite) that you can have to set windows reminder that your herbs are grown. L O L or doing wintertodt for 3 days for the full outfit and that was after spending another 3 days doing gnome restaurants just to finish a master clue scroll. Yeah dude, thats where its at. right now im doing zalcano til 82 mining with full prospector outfit for my clue scroll. i took a couple of days getting the gloves bc power mining iron ore is fastest way to get unidentified minerals and then i got the outfit. now im going to do zalcano for a crystal tool seed drop chance and also 82 mining. everything has been syncing up so its perfect. i cant really do 3 tick granite mining but thats okay. ill wait for the crystal pickaxe. bro, how tf are dag kings even medium combat achievement task? Until like you've dealt with like 75% of the quests and know what to do and how, it is all about Questing > Unlocks that are not through direct questing > xp grind /gold grind. In rs3 maybe even more because xp sources are not normalized so without zones/activity unlocks you don't even exp properly.
This is actually useful for someone like me, who’s considering making an alt without spending too much. Ill definitely be spending more than a mil, but its nice to see how far a mil will go
cheeeeeeeeeeeers! what an amazing questions, and honestly as i prep for leagues yet again, anbd with while guthix sleeps out, im so motibvated to play quests on my main since rulelite quest helper makes it sooooooooooooooooooooo fun and simple lmfao but still tedius hah
I’ve never understood why ironmen are so concerned with how others play the game. Choosing to play as IM doesn’t mean everyone else wants to, hence the different game modes. One of the key concepts of MMORPGs is being able to interact with other players, which includes trade interactions. Just because non-IM want to use the GE without grinding every single item doesn’t invalidate their gameplay or account.
i mean if this is a newer player doing quests wouldnt it be more realistic to just use energy pots? 10k worth of energy pots is gonna get you further than the one stam pot you get for the same price.
"i dont know what a good stab wepon is" fun fact rune scimitar has a stab style(mace too)... more reasonable would be a rune sword i suppose worst case scenario the pickaxe's main style is stab

i did all the quest first in my account then switched to training getting 99 mage range and melee lol. my account is really strong right now. i just need to finish up the combat achievements and the diaries and the last quest i have to do desert treasure 2. its so fun right now bc my account is really high leveled and it didnt take hours of grinding but i did do days of grinding things i wanted to do like collection logs for clue steps and levels for clue steps too. 3 days of blackjacking for a pyramid plunder master clue step?
(use runelite tiles and labels to effective prayer switch throughout the maze).
you can get almost all lvl 50 melee stats from just doing the req quest for rfd
Until like you've dealt with like 75% of the quests and know what to do and how, it is all about Questing > Unlocks that are not through direct questing > xp grind /gold grind. In rs3 maybe even more because xp sources are not normalized so without zones/activity unlocks you don't even exp properly.
it's not a fresh account if you give it 1 mil. Do it with only the items from tutorial island.
U should quit internet for a while... Take some fresh Air...
😂
🤓
So he's right? @@Beistranhu
This is actually useful for someone like me, who’s considering making an alt without spending too much. Ill definitely be spending more than a mil, but its nice to see how far a mil will go
dude just make a video of the same exact start every single account gets
Who is that jazz trumpet at 19:00??
Thanks brod. Excelente
hey what's the tab after achievement dairies? the orangish icon?

Wheres a link to the wiki guide?
154 quest points at 700 total level is insane
How about starting with just what you get from Tutorial Island.
Kinda like an Iron Men account.
No help just you and the Wiki.
What happened to his charity hcim account ?
nice score
Cool video but I feel like giving yourself 2m for quest supplies sort of defeats the purpose of how far you can get on a "new" account.
Idk, if you are watching this, I'm sure you already have an account. So I'm sure it's repeatable.
A how far can you get in 1 week on a new account doing clue scrolls would be awesome!!!!
wish i found this video about 3-5 days ago
is killing a golem and dosnt know what type of stab weapon would be good to kill a monster made of ROCK
Now see how long it takes to get the quest cape
I’ve never understood why ironmen are so concerned with how others play the game. Choosing to play as IM doesn’t mean everyone else wants to, hence the different game modes. One of the key concepts of MMORPGs is being able to interact with other players, which includes trade interactions. Just because non-IM want to use the GE without grinding every single item doesn’t invalidate their gameplay or account.
how do you play this game for a living and not know you can use a scimitar on stab?
Lol you can use a scimitar on stab but it's terrible and nobody should ever do it...
i mean if this is a newer player doing quests wouldnt it be more realistic to just use energy pots? 10k worth of energy pots is gonna get you further than the one stam pot you get for the same price.
can someone send a link or message me what he bought from grand exchange before he started?
The game: "Itchlarin"
The youtuber: 14:32
Love the goggles the whole time, reminds me of a low level WoW character, lol
Try BRUHsailers guide on ironman next and compare
Love this video!
Now do another 24 hours on that account
honestly with the price of gold these days 50m is the buy in cost for most mmos
SpiritOfTheOldSchool???
The music at 1:00 made me do a double take, I thought I had clicked on another aoe2 video by mistake…
anyone have the wiki link or item list?
Just Google "osrs efficient quest guide", first one that comes up. There's also an ironman version too.
Lord I hate doing quests on RS. Everything locked behind them though so no choice but to get them done if you wanna have access to the newest bosses.
"i dont know what a good stab wepon is" fun fact rune scimitar has a stab style(mace too)... more reasonable would be a rune sword i suppose worst case scenario the pickaxe's main style is stab
proof that questing is worth it
I would be interested to see how this goes with an ironman.
