Sure, cable management ain‘t the most awesome stuff to watch in the world but it‘s part of the process. I rather watch an episode of splicing cables than all of these „builds“ that are done to 90% in a third party shop...

You guys should do a series of "wrecker builds"...set a really cheap project car budget...and get all upgrades from local pick and pull wreckers. Put a time limit, like 6 hours at the wreckers picking parts, or something, and that all "upgrade" parts must come from the auto wreckers. Whatever you guys do, whether the channel stay the same or makes some changes, I'll continue to be along for the ride.

Some company or contractor had switched up their manufacturing (from crimping to solder) for a series of these vehicles, and after X amount of years, they were all getting overhauled for broken solder joints.

Next time get some self sealing heat shrink, it keeps out moisture and makes the connection stronger, it’s a little more expensive but really good for splicing. An alternative is the self solder/heat shrink connectors, place wire in, heat with a heat gun and it solders and shrink wraps the connection in one very quick operation plus its self sealing as well 👍

    The clutch fork post.
It is possible to fit a Teflon washer over it or to drill the top and fit a ball bearing.

And the same goes for when you put the key to the lock position, it will roll all windows up and close the sunroof
