Your saying that 'we are not just recording what we've seen but revealing what we've noticed that others might have missed' really resonated with me. As a novice searching for her style, those things we reveal speaks to our vision and our individuality. Thank you for revealing what you see!!
Many thanks again Andrew. A lovely feel to the paining. Lovely colour. I remember grandfather talking about C Mellon when they went out painting together and how Mellon would add a touch of black or panes grey to his colours and I think that's why many of his countryside scenes are often dulled. Since watching your videos I have definitely embraced more brighter or pure colour and it has made a significant difference for the better. Regards Andy
I did enjoy watching this very much - thank you for it! I never would have thought to mix those colors together, and even as you were I felt "ugh!" but you made it look marvelous. Very engaging. I learned a lot from this!
I scrolled past this very English scene, but happily my fingers took over and I watched fascinated from start to finish. I cannot wait to continue with my scene of local cliffs in the glorious technicolours of the Mediterranean with your help. Thank. you Andrew.
Absolutely stunning. Fascinating to watch you blend different hues and also explain the logic behind the selection. Appreciations for your dedication which has given me a definite direction to fathom the depths of the art of painting. I bow to thee.
Thanks very much. My ‘techniques’ as you call them, are very simple, paint each area once, the way you want it to look straight away. www.andrewpitt.co.uk
Thanks Andrew. I found this video helpful, because I am trying to learn how to paint posts and docks and waterside scenes. I am still using the watercolour approach and enjoy it more than wet-on-wet, even after three years.
I love coming back to your videos, Andrew. I'm trying to remember to take a different colour each time I go back to the palette. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful talent!
Pure delight. Thank you for sharing your artistic talent. You seem to have a gift for taking the stress out of watercolour painting. Thank you to all of your family for the roles they play in bringing joy.
💥 I watched you on the big screen this morning, with my cup of Canadian coffee. :)) - I really enjoyed the video and was slightly surprised at how much I learned this time‼️ - Clouds don’t need thick paint. USE MORE WATER. - Leave some white areas. - Clouds get warmer and smaller as you near the horizon. 🗝 Most of all, I must teach myself to habitually dip my brush into the paint & water OFTEN‼️ - I always have need to use up all the paint on my brush. SMH ▫️ Your paintings looks so natural. - I also realized that not all lines have to be perfectly straight! ▫️ I sure learned a lot and it finally stuck with me this time ! ✔️So a big THANKYOU for that. - You’re a quick painter. It must be in your nature. haha ▪️It was lovely watching you produce such a fantastic painting ‼️ ▫️ Bfn & thanks again. ▫️ Ps. Apologies for the long comment !!
Hello Andrew. Thank you for another wonderful painting demonstration. Amazing to see the use of different colours and how it pulls the whole painting together. Well done.
Your paintings are really beautiful. So fresh and attractive. You inspire me to paint more. Your skies are just wonderful, simply drawn but yet difficult to emulate. Thank you once again for this helpful demonstration!
An excellent way to start my day with your inspirational and practical insights to beauty. I really enjoyed my coffee, visually and taste, as well. Thank you!!

Thank you for this wonderful, inspiring video! Your clear explanations about how to achieve the freshness of watercolor are so much appreciated. And watching your brushstrokes is very informative and helpful. Inspired by your brushstrokes, I did purchase some Chinese calligraphy brushes and am delighted with the marks that they encourage. What a beautiful painting you created, so fresh! And it shows how to determine just the right amount of detail, a real struggle for me. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your art with us 🎨.
