No one does reviews like Pecktec. I trust you, Sean, to give your unbiased opinion. Really love this tank and your scape. Looks really natural and harmonious with the schools of little fish. Very inspiring. Take care.
I have two 15 gallon and one 9 gallon and love all three. Have looked at the 32 gallon many times but you are correct about the cost. This is a very expensive setup but one day maybe I will get lucky and find one on sale... Thanks for all your great videos full of information. We all appreciate your hard work! Keep it up.
Nothing beats a balanced system & the path to get there is always worth the day when you see it , crystal clear and 101% cycled and stable. Part patience , part knowledge & a little luck from the fish Gods too. Great video and thanks to this aquarium I have enjoyed your channel and your a big part of the way I take care of my plants and fish . Take care Sean and hope things are really good for you & the Family ☯️
It was such a pleasure getting to visit with you and your wife in April, and seeing this tank and all the others in person. It's a fantastic scape I absolutely love it
That's a great looking tank. The Flex design is appealing. I can't believe all of that anubias. We are looking forward to the presentation at the meeting, and I can't wait to see someone take home that 9 gallon. Thanks for all that you do to support the hobby online and locally.
I have had this tank for a little over a year, and i love it ! I dont have the issue with the surface film. I do however have an issue with the curved glass and my magnetic sponge-thingy to remove algae on the glass.. it doesnt really work, so now i just scrape it of with a card.
I had two fluval flex 57 litres, I sold one just a few months ago and still have the other up for sale atm. I found with n]the non programmable light it showed a visible line of algae building up where the actual light bar shed light along . I kept getting algae all the time thru out the tank and it was a mission to keep clean. I’ll admit I’m a bit slack with cleaning n water changes exactly when I’m meant to. Checking the filter section for teeny shrimp etc is easier peering into the 57 litre as you can simply look from the left side just thru the glass area as you’d know with yours. But on this one you can’t really view to see if any critters have snuck thru the filter slots as the sides are solid plastic and not glass, unless you can get somehow in behind the tank (I had the extra lil covers kept on with thin course sponge kept behind them but eggs etc still got thru and I accidentally found them when checking the rear.) Another thing is those filter slots are sooo close to the base that you cannot build up any height of substrate infront of that area unless you create a lil cave or something like a ledge to stop sub’s from falling back n covering that area. This 123 flex is super hard to get here in Perth West Australia. I’d like it IF I knew that I’d not have any of the issues that come with the 57 litre. How do you deal with undoing the water flow nozzles IF your ever needing to remove pump to clean? Do you manage to get them to stay supported by the thick anubias they’re nestled in? I always wanted a fluval flex so when the chance popped up to get two from one guy second hand but just a month old I jumped at it. They have looked good at times but on,y for short while as I’m not a cool tank scaper/plant grower (and keeping plants all alive with little algae ) as you and other online tubers are or seem to be. Plants would melt , some die, mosses would go fuzzy, then BBA might break out then it’s ok for a while , get more new plants , some will take off others wouldn’t…and so on. The fluval 123 is very expensive in Australia and I have on,y ever seen one for sale on marketplace with cabinet for 550 but all up new I think the tanks $650 and the stand is $359….so your looking roughly at 1 k all up. This was a white one for sale..I almost bought it but ummmed n arrrhd then didn’t. White would be horrible for me to keep clean when I couldn’t even keep the black clean enough …lol Was a great deal tho…..ahhh well… maybe in another life hey Tank looks great after 4 years…really awesome n lush, well done …Lisa x
I just purchased green neon tetras about four weeks ago from aquatic arts in Indiana. I think they’re beautiful I’m really enjoying them they’re quite small but they’re getting bigger. There Fish sell out Very fast ,But you can always put it on your wish list and they will email you as soon as they get in what your looking for. I also have the Fluval mega flex for about six months . Got a great Deal on tank and stand .I’ve been a fish keeper off and on for about 30 yrs. ,down to five tanks now easier for this gal to take care of . I’ve Watch your videos for many years , learned quite a few things from you which were new to me ,always important to listen and see what’s going on. So I wanted to say thank you. P.S. Shipping is not bad from Aquatic Arts ,to me not bad because I live in the suburbs of Chicago
Hey, awesome update! Happy to see the MEGAFLEX thriving 😁 I have had my 9g for 3 years and my MEGAFLEX for 7 months....I was a bit nervous about getting a big tank but it was actually your set up video that helped me make my decision. Love fluval flex hate the no lid hinges arrrgh!!!
Beautiful tank! Anubius is definitely my favorite plant and I probably have more of it than anything if I added them all up, I've also always like the flex 32 gallons just always been a little too cheap to buy one 😂 great video brother!
I want one, I’d have to break down the three tanks that I have though😕 Great show as always Sean! I was waiting for the signature loud, echoing “MEGAFLEX!” to come down out of nowhere😂 Thanks Sean
I love this tank! Really shows like I have said that you are the Anubias King! I have copied this tank, I bought like 25 anubias nana, and I have built a tree with gorilla glue because it is in my 78 G Cube. almost 3 feet tall, and 2 feet wide and 2 feet front to back. My hope is that it looks like this in 2 years but tall instead. Super beautiful and great video my friend.
For me the Water level goes low in the middle chamber when my sponges/ filters are clogged. Once i cleaned them the water level comes back up...Great Tank BTW.
Nice update. Would you prefer flat glass to the bowed front if it were an option? I saw one set up p at a pet shop and really wanted to like it but seemed too be a lot of distortion towards the bottom. Probably would be less noticable while sitting.
I have the 15g flex and love the all in 1 it takes all the guess work out of what you need to go with it great for a beginner and even still great after a couple years experience with it! You’re actually the reason I got the flex. Fluval need to make a MEGA MEGA flex now and send it to you since you paid for that one out of pocket and have given a bunch of great content and been a prime example of showing how well it can perform over the years! 😉
I've loved this tank since you first set it up :) I'm a self admitted Fluval fan-boy...2x 15gal Flex's, the Betta Premium aquarium, and doubtlessly more in my future. When you first mentioned your heater concerns made me immediately think "I know how to help with that!"...if you're not already aware of them Sean, check out Fluval's 'New' T series heaters. They automatically turn themselves off when they're no longer immersed.
I love this tank, it's so well planted and natural looking! I personally love the look of anubias! We are setting up a 160L tank set up, a huge build compared to our others for our rope fish, Falcor. It's good to see where it could potentially evolve to and what is to be expected for a mass build/setup. I love the stockage you have in here! Huuuge fan of shrimp too. Excited to see more updates in the future! 🙂
The low water in the centre chamber is usually because of the filter sponges, either lift them very slightly or wash them and the centre chamber will level off. The fluval light is great, but I've had 2 fail on me over 4years and I've now replaced with a good led light plugged into a $20 smart plug
Top vids Pektec. I believe your vids are what made me purchase this tank. I added an inline CO2 diffuser into the back with the standard pump. Gives a decent spread of bubbles throughout. Also wasn't impressed with the functioning of the filter. The water flow in the stock setup appeared to bypass a lot of the media and also found there was little to no overflow. On Amazon you can get the in tank media baskets but they are quite expensive so i hacked my own setup. Measured a rectangular piece of acrylic i slot down the inside of the inflow outlets in the sponge filter compartment(Snug fit). This blocks all inlet holes bar the top 2. Then also lay another piece flat across the bottom where the foam block would sit. This one, i cut slits in to allow the downward water flow to pass through. When performing maintenance i slide the side ones up to cover the top 2 inflow slots, and open the lower slots. Little more hassle at maintenance time but i feel i get a better filter effect and water flow. This also allows me to add my own media setup within, cut foam on top, floss, noodles and Seachem matrix in mesh media bags. On top o f all that i also recently added a Fluval Plant 3 into the hood.
I just LOVE this tank of yours! I have the Flex 15, still one of my favorite tanks, except for the pump, because it's so tiny and clogs up quickly with detritus from the plants. 😂
I'm just getting back in this hobby after years of both fresh and saltwater. I bought the Flex 15. I think the 32 would make me much happier with plants. In my 15, I have 10 neons with a small female beta and cross my fingers one snail. I want to add cherry shrimp. I think the 32 Flex would be better.
I’m afraid most of my preference is what’s available. 😀 But I would say Medium to low light plants will all do well. You can probably do some higher light plants by increasing the photo period. I tend to avoid them because the trimming gets tedious.
I love the look of this tank. Currently I live in an apartment and barely have enough room for my 20g, I'm super interested in this tank as an upgrade once I have the room to do so. What's the actual capacity of it considering the filtration taking up that back side of the tank?
Not a fan of fluval, though I do enjoy your videos about them. This tank looks awesome! Gotta love the Jungle aquascape style, it is probably the easiest.
I’m not 💯 sure. I think it’s to make folks angry. 😀 it hides the water line which can get ugly (I guess). It blocks the light a little bit so it’s not glaring. But those are guesses.
Thank you for this updated review! When adding the second light, do the light bars connect to each other, or does it require it's own AC adapter? I can't seem to find the lights for this mega flex tank locally, but Ive seen some on eBay that just include the light. Any algae issues when you initially added the second light?
Is there any chance you could share your light settings on this? Im having a hard time getting my lights right 😫 i would greatly appreciate it haha love your videos!
After adding the second light, the original bar that came with my tanks stopped working :( It didn't turn on the following morning, and it wont appear/ connect to the fluval app.

I've gone through some of your videos regarding this tank, I see a huge difference between this video and your 4 month update on it. What made you decide to change the plants so much? Too many issues with the other plants?
Beautiful tank! I have had mine for 1 year ish and I think the noisy pump is a big problem if you want it in your living room. I've tried replacing it with both a hudor and an Eheim 1000 but they dont have the small internal filters as the fluval has. Do you have any tips on the pump?
I have the same tank....dumb question but what are you using to hold your lid open when your trimming your plants? I am a new owner of this 32.5 and it seems to me to be the weakest part is holding that lid open manually to do any maintenace.
Hi. Are you still using this tank?. Are you still happy with it? I read some crack problems for Fluval Flex models. Did you measure the glass thickness. People say that it is thin and cracking easily. For this size the glass thickness must be 8-10 mm. But I think this tank has 4 or 6 mm. I wish to hear your opinions about this. Thank you
Yeap never had any issues with that. See my latest video for a quick update. It does seem thin but I mail ordered it to my door and with normal operation have had 0 issues.
I bought my fluval flex after watching your video and it’s been an interesting journey… the glass scratches very easily would anyone know how to fix this?
I think all glass scratches easy. I’ve ruined so many tanks. I use only credit cards or sponges to scrape now. Get an old credit card or any other card like that. They work great and never scratch.
Pecktec always flexin.
Got my tie die shirt today it looks awesome!
@@pecktec where's ours? Hehe
3 years! I remember watching the set up of this tank. How time flies! Still looking amazing and I still want one :P

Thats big flex is gorgeous!! good job sir.
Do you have a video on buying and installing second light?
Always loved this tank of yours :)
I finally bought one! Now I’m like a kid at Christmas waiting on it arriving, thanks

if you don't need the stand, the tank can be found for around $300
MEGAFLEX 💪🏻 Love this tank in our home! One of my favorites.
I love seeing reviews after a person has owned and operated the item for long periods of times. thanks guy keep up the good work.

Hello Stoney nice to see you here :)
It was such a pleasure getting to visit with you and your wife in April, and seeing this tank and all the others in person. It's a fantastic scape I absolutely love it
you must have some amazing water , i have added the extra light like you and cannot get my plants like this. looks great

I love my 9g. It's just for a betta and snails and with a bit of creative scape placement and flow reduction he has been very happy
Nice tank!

You're looking at about $700 retail these days for the tank and base. If you get lucky, you can find it cheaper.

I’m not sure maybe 3-4 gallons of space. But it depends on what all you put in there as far as displacement goes.
Not a fan of fluval, though I do enjoy your videos about them. This tank looks awesome! Gotta love the Jungle aquascape style, it is probably the easiest.
from what I can tell that link doesn't include the stand, so I wonder why the high price tag.
Beautiful. What is the reason for the black hexagon pattern across the top of the tank? Limit or reflect light 🤔
I’m not 💯 sure. I think it’s to make folks angry. 😀 it hides the water line which can get ugly (I guess). It blocks the light a little bit so it’s not glaring. But those are guesses.
Hides water level
Wow. I got mine at pet land at a 50% off sale for $149 right before the pandemic hit.
Wow!!
Hello Sir, how many hours lighting per day & what type of anubias are they? Thank you
I wish you would have shown the stand. The exterior and interior.
There may be a better look in the setup. I have a whole playlist of videos on that tank.
Thank you for this updated review! When adding the second light, do the light bars connect to each other, or does it require it's own AC adapter? I can't seem to find the lights for this mega flex tank locally, but Ive seen some on eBay that just include the light. Any algae issues when you initially added the second light?
I had the second light front the start. It has its own plug. The schedule is synced with the app.
You should be able to get it from Fluval’s s spare parts. I never see them for sale on their own. But they are really worth it to seek out.
Hey great vid! Could the fluval build in filter/ pump handle sand?
The way to pump has some catch areas that could keep if free from sand in the back but I haven’t tried it.
What light settings are you using in the app?
Is there any chance you could share your light settings on this? Im having a hard time getting my lights right 😫 i would greatly appreciate it haha love your videos!
Be sure to check out last weeks video I shared it for you.
After adding the second light, the original bar that came with my tanks stopped working :( It didn't turn on the following morning, and it wont appear/ connect to the fluval app.
Sounds like a hardware issue I would get with customer service for sure.
How you grow that much anubias without algae is beyond me.
I have 17 lumen per litre, which is low light and still can't get them to grow and they always get algae on them.
It seems like my tap water works wonders only for crypts...
Any update on the Anoxic setup?
Hello what’s the parameter of your two lamp on that tank
Do the fluval plant 3.0 lights fit inside the hood?
Its a special version made especially for this tank. So no not the normal ones from the box stores. Its not hard to get these special ones. But they are all that have the correct mounts. So that's what you need.
I have the 57 liter version (15 gallon), and the level between the 3 chambers are equal... the water should level by itself even pumping the water from that chamber... but I can be wrong... there are anyone who can confirm with 123liter version? Regards from Portugal
You’ll notice if you let it go awhile that pump chamber will get lower and lower (while it’s running) as it evaporates.
What brand of light do you use? I have a 125 gallon and need new LED lights. Nice video
do you put fertilizer? if yes what kind also does it have co2?
No ferts no co2 in this one.
Yeah baby, we tankin
I would love to have this aquarium. I have the 15 gallon.❤️
Stunningly beautiful!
I've gone through some of your videos regarding this tank, I see a huge difference between this video and your 4 month update on it. What made you decide to change the plants so much? Too many issues with the other plants?
I had a bunch of algae at first that messed things up for a while till it balanced out.
Is this really the 123l? It looks a lot smaller in person for me.
What do you mean is it really? 😜
Beautiful tank! I have had mine for 1 year ish and I think the noisy pump is a big problem if you want it in your living room. I've tried replacing it with both a hudor and an Eheim 1000 but they dont have the small internal filters as the fluval has. Do you have any tips on the pump?
What’s the water change schedule?
About once a month.
If you don't mind, can I ask what temperature you keep this tank at?
About 74 in that one.
I have the same tank....dumb question but what are you using to hold your lid open when your trimming your plants? I am a new owner of this 32.5 and it seems to me to be the weakest part is holding that lid open manually to do any maintenace.

I want to upgrade to that tank but can’t afford it right now
I have the 15 g flex but I dream to get this one
If I was a fish I'd want to live in that tank 😅
My tank has been up twelve years plus.

I would never pay money for a company to paint mesh looking edge around tank looks horrible ,reason why they didn’t really sell
#1 it can be removed. It’s not painted on #2 they didn’t really sell is laughable. I respect your opinion but you don’t seem to know the facts.
