Thank you so much for these tips!! When I bought a 15G flex last year, it was super short notice as I moved 17 hours away and realized I could not fit my 30G tank in my car. Over the year now, I’ve lost almost my whole colony of endlers due to the flow being too strong. I tried sponge filters but the sump area’s water was stagnant. I just ordered the flow reducer and based on your video the flow looks perfect.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for dropping a comment! The flow reducer is such an awesome modification, hope it works well for you! I noticed you had a channel with a doberman. We have a doberman (mix) as well. A lot of people are intimidated by him but he's just about the sweetest dog you could ever meet. Not as playful as other dobis that I've met, kind of a couch potato lol
After watching this video i ended up getting 3 mods for it, Thanks for the heads up. The tank you have at 7:51 (intake grates) is so good looking. I am going to try to recreate something like that in my tank, obviously with my own flair. Well done.
That's great to hear, I'll have to let Adam know. They are such terrific products. Thanks so much on the Stargate aquarium! I'm glad to have inspired, feel free to copy as much as you want. Had to hack back at plants yesterday, had a problem with hair algae 😩
Lovin' this! It's great to see videos showing off what it's like actually owning various aquariums, and the Flex tanks are a gem. Thanks so much for showing off the upgrades! This is a great video!

Hello have a question. I am not getting what seems water movement in the back part. I have nothing in first chamber second chamber is the sponge it comes with. Third chamber I upgraded pump heater only. I for some reason this take is curse. I have nothing but problems since day one. Any help. I enjoy your videos
Hey, thanks for dropping a comment, glad you like my videos 😊 That's annoying that your tank is giving you a hard time. Even when the pump is working and on, you won't notice too much flow in the chambers in the back unless you have something floating - like I have some duckweed sometimes that spins in circles. Do you know that your pump is working? Like if you put your hand in front of it you can feel the water moving? Do you notice if your sponge in the filter area gets dirty?
@@freshflowaquatics Hello and thank you for the response. Pump is working and the filter I clean and I have bio media in both slots. I just did water change. Someone told me to take some water out from the chamber so u get more movement from top skimmer to flow in back to move it. Other what water level should I put.
@@robertcolceri1692 After having this tank set up for about a week now, I think I see what you are talking about. The greasy surface muck layer along the surface accumulates and doesn't get sucked into the overflow. Is that what you're talking about? If so, I have an idea to fix this and spoke with the owner of Fish Guild Corp, who produces after market upgrades for the Fluval Flex. Keep you posted if he's willing to make a part to help with this, but I'm pretty sure he will! I have sponges in the two entry chambers and them ceramic rings in the middle with the pump and heater.
@@freshflowaquatics Yes the film that floats still so to me no movement.. This tank is just carpet only and rocks. Co2. Simple tank but giving me hard time. Also should I get another light because carpet just blah lol
I'm surprised I don't get this more 🤣 Just happen to be another bald, beardy, planted tank loving human from across the pond. MD Fish Tanks is awesome, big fan 💚
lol what up catdaddy4twenty - Yeah would have been nice but it's still my favorite little all in one aquarium. Glad Fish Guild Corp came out with these mods

The Flex tanks certainly are a gem. I still need to try out that 32.5 gallon Flex. No problem, thanks for making cool components!
@@freshflowaquatics When you do let me know. I have plenty of items for the 32.5 with more on the way.
@@adamsutton9104 Will do!
I also like the fluval flex, it's a sleek design 👌
Can't beat it!
Awsome stuff man thank you

COMTRYA!
Did not know you can prop the lid up like that! Will be getting some for ease of maintenance 😂😂
Glad to give you an idea - hope it works well for you! I've dropped those lids so many times, they are all scratched and dinged up.

Where can you get the other things from and how much do they cost
I would check out Fish Guild Corp on Etsy to purchase their items. Each item has a different price, so you'll have to browse their site.
cool stuff
Did you end up getting something?
