I don't know if this was intentional but I like how at 1:35 they showed all that tech but his heart remained unchanged. A metaphor for Adam's journey...
@@DarsiPadilla The sleeper cell theory is most likely to be true. The theory is the illuminatie found his body (still alive), implanted new augs, and now he is a brainwashed sleeper agent until he makes contact with Janus.
@@DarsiPadillaYeah I don't think it's a clone/sleeper agent (despite the Palisade bank container showing a possible Jensen clone), I think he's just been genetically engineered and planted with false memories / had memories erased about being tested on in Alaska, hence the confusion with Sarif in DXMD. I'm certain that his DNA becomes the basis for the Dentons, but ultimately I believe he will end up losing to the illuminati in the end, especially considering they're more powerful than ever in the story of Deus Ex.
I remember playing this with the director's commentary on, and when they got to this sequence, I loved how everyone on that commentary just gushed about how on point Michael McCann's music was for the "rebuilding" scene. They were all just so in love with this song for the scene, and what it conveyed musically.
What's even interesting here, I don't know how many know this, but when you're digging around the Detroit LIMB clinic and you hack the doctor's computer in the back surgery room, you find a number of emails between Sarif and the LIMB doctor. Its explained in the exchange that Adam infact only needed ONE arm replacing - the rest of his body was fine to survive and recover without alteration. It was on Sarif's orders that LIMB removed & replaced Adam's remaining uninjured arms and legs. Perfectly good limbs, just hacked off and replaced!! Its pretty messed up when you think about it. But since David knew Adam wouldn't reject the implants, he regarded Adam as the perfect template for his vision. 'This is what we can be like'
Have you watched the original Robocop? There is a scene with a simillar message discussing pretty much the same issue. Adam has a lot in common with Alex Murphy in general. Also, cool I did not know this, although I played through almost the whole game. I intend to repeat it in a short while.
The process of augmentation implementation is probably way beyond anything that any anesthetic could inhibit. Probably also, this is after Adam was nearly done with the entire setup, and went through a colossal testing,
You can only pump so much of that stuff into someone before it kills them. There’s also a handful of real world procedures where using it would actually create more problems.
Yea, probably hence the entire NuPoz addiction amd withdrawal screwing up every being that had augs. (But thats for post-aug, hmnn) My best interpretation is same with AFP up here, there could be augmentation-spesifc anesthetics thats just waay more potent to the point of being dangerous.
@@AFreakinProblem If you give an anesthetics to a guy who lost a lot of blood ( perhaps Adams situation) you can kill them by slowing their heart too much.
yeah science ftw, but really what me and CryoKeen said is a reference to the 6 million dollar man, which is a similar principle to what happened to Jensen, dude gets horribly injured and is brought back by filling him up with a ton of cybernetics.
Yeah, except that in a real life scenario, from a govermental view - a person's life is not worth as much as the technology required to create an "Adam Jensen". It wouldn't cost 6 million, it would cost billions.
@@LightTrack- By that time David Sarif already knew that Adam's body was a miracle, and having an asset like him even if just as a working prototype could be worth more than they spent on him. It's not like they custom-made these augments for him anyway, they had them on inventory, so, well, it's reasonable to assume it was a calculated decision.
@@MrJohannson Well yeah because Adam is the patient zero for developing neuropozyne-free augmentations. Also, you responded to a 4 year old comment. Good job.

The song of the very first trailers is "Icarus" by Micheal McCann. If you mean this video, the opening credits, it is exactly called that, "Opening Credits", by the same composer.
“His body can take it.” If you know the story he isn’t saying how tough Adam is he literally knows his body won’t reject it.
I cant get over how fucking epic this opening is

And then there's the heart aug in Mankind Divided; though there was speculation about playing a clone or sleeper agent.

This is one of my all-time favorite soundtracks 🤘
Man this is such a fucking epic intro, could be the most epic intro I've ever seen for a video game
Heroes aren't born. They are made.
