Hi guys- 9 months ago, Gene suffered a massive stroke that left him paralyzed on his right side, and unable to speak. The likelihood of him ever being able to ride again, is about a -0, so we had to sell his beloved bike. Thanks for all of the thoughtful comments, and enjoying our video. I originally put this video on UA-cam, so that family could see his hilarious reaction (Gene was always the “gifter” and never the “giftee” so his reaction is 100% genuine.) I never knew how priceless this video would become to us. It makes me smile to hear his voice again, and see him walk. (Even if it is of him being stubborn as hell) I posted a video documenting before, and after his stroke, and some of his recovery. Feel free to watch. Be safe out there! Love to all.

God bless Gene. May he recover soon. Seems like a great guy. Completely sad and unfortunate. I had my grandpa suffered from paralysis and trust me, the only thing that is gonna get him up to his feet is acupuncture. Consult an acupuncture therapist and you will see the results. May God be with you.

This was so emotional to watch. His daughter was raised well. She's turned out healthy & happy. Her beauty radiates through giving back because she can. Not all adult children can do this. Often adult children wouldn't want to because they didn't receive parental love in a meaningful way. Clearly she benefited from the love from her parents. Her dad's emotions show he is soft. Why would you pay off the mortgage? With only 15000 left there was no interest left on the loan so there was no financial interest burden or incentive to relieve by paying it off. Plus there is equity in the home if anything you should have encouraged them to remortgage and raise the mortgage from 15000 to like 115000 and take out 100 grand in equity and enjoy life. Now the way you did it their life is exactly the same pretty much what can they do with an extra say 800 bucks a month compared to 100,000 dollars. That was not financially sensible what you did.

I have three daughters just like this one. Would not change anything for the world. Kindness and being thoughtful counts for so much.

that sounds ungrateful, you should give it back, so she can gift it to someone who likes it.

lake Speed your daughter who got you the shirt-she really does love you. The girl in this video only bought her dad the actual motorcycle because she knows he will kill himself on it within a week and then she will be able to collect on his life insurance.....

As a single father we take care of our kids because we love them and it’s our responsibility we brought them in this world we don’t need recognition we just want to raise our kids and see them prosper. But seeing a video like this makes me
Happy a good father is being appreciated. Good for them 💪

A bit of parental perspective; the shock isn't about the gift, it's the awareness. When your kid does something like this, not just the money spent but the time, effort and fact she knows how much this would mean to him - it's all reassurance that she knows - not just that her father loves her but to what extent and all he did for her to be in a position to be able to do this for him.

CeCelia Lewers that helped me add a dimension to his reaction because I thought it was a bit cold towards her. Also, many guys have a hard time expressing emotions.
