Just wanted to come back to this channel and say thanks. I’m 40 now and an over a year ago i wanted to start reading more but could just never stick with it and have been so inspired by this channel to do so. Then I had a near death experience and that woke me up lol. I’m proud to say for over a year since then I have read at least 3 books a month and probably will end the year around 40. 40 books in a year! For me! It’s completely changed my life and now comes second nature. It’s also helped my attention span where I can now chomp up two chapters any given sitting and rotate the books around (a tip I learned on this channel) Right now I’m reading an autobiography of J Haydn (I like classical music), surviving death by Leslie kean (super fascinating) and particle physics brick by brick. I soooooooooo wish I would have done this in my youth but am so excited to have found this beautiful path in life. It’s also made me a much better programmer and a tiny bit less susceptible to media propaganda and historical narratives. It’s open my eyes to philosophical ideas I’ve had but couldn’t develop and introduced me to concepts and points of view i would have never in a million years came up with All in all, I just wanted to say thank you. Your work is truly amazing for the youth and us (omg ugh I’ll say it) old people haha.
How kind you are to share. It makes such a difference to know we're reaching people and can help in this way. Thank you, kind Socratica Friend, for sharing your journey with us.
We'll keep you posted about when the audiobook comes out!! We're doing audio editing now, and then we have to wait for it to be approved by Audible. Thank you for reading with Kindle Unlimited!! 💜🦉
Great, video and book. I bought the book a few weeks ago, and really it gives a lot of light on how to approach any topic for studying and retaining, also the techniques are so simple but very effective. Thanks so much.
I'm actually really interested on learning how to learn faster. Specially because software development takes a lot time and effort to learn. I'm looking forward to see if this book gives value on that regard.
We hope you will let us know how you find it, applying these ideas to software development! We've found them useful for almost everything we learn. Not so much swimming, but almost everything else!
"I know, I know nothing that's what I know" -- Socrates I learn nothing, I learn how to learn, that's what I learned. -- Socratica Now I can learn everything.
Wish I could like this again. Very nicely done presentation, and I need something because I had this experience with my graduate Statistics course after making straight As, I was confronting the possibility of an F and needed a prolonged extension to get through. Not knowing how to study really. I will purchase it!
This was so great to read! We all hit that wall sometimes and we just need to learn how to get over it or go around it! Good luck and keep us posted!! 💜🦉

Hey socratica friends , I'm a friend from Morocco i want to thank you for those precious videos ,unfortunately I cant buy the book but I still do enjoy your videos , also I learned English on my own thanks to you
Thanks for yet another valuable video. I am definitely going to buy this book. More success to Socratica and Its team. Edit: I got the book from Amazon, it's great and I am following it. Highly recommended.
I bought my copy today. As someone who has been out of school now for over a decade, I'm reintroducing myself to the concept of how to learn. I recently started taking a course for learning back-end web development. (It's a lengthy course.)
How wonderful! It can be so exciting to start a new course. That initial ramping up can be exhausting but also so fulfilling. Hey thank you so much for buying our book, that is so kind and we hope you find it helpful! 💜🦉
@@Socratica I'm already finding it useful. I've already starting implementing the pomodoro technique, the Cornell notes, and the idea of focusing on what you don't know from the test taking advice. I'm supplementing my course with your videos on Python, as it's what I'm currently learning first. It's certainly challenging, but that's a good thing - it means I have something to learn and it will be rewarding to come to a point of understanding.
This just happened to me last year during my freshman year at an engineering university, the mid-sem and tests were easy but the problem came when the finals came near, I wasn't able to manage my time properly, there were s**t ton of assignments due. Damn it was hard, fortunately got through it with fairly decent GPA because finals were easy.

I agree I see no need for a middle man when you probably have the capacity to offer it in the site. You could offer it cheaper so as to encourage buying it directly.

Thank you so much for watching!! Our viewers are really keeping us going!! 💜🦉
It has always amused me that the one thing we're never taught is how to learn effectively.
I know, right??!!
Thank you for being such a positive force in the Universe and sharing your knowledge! Your channel has been incredibly helpful throughout the years!
What a lovely thing to read, THANK YOU kind friend. 💜🦉
I always tell my kids that they will continue learning even after their school is over.
SO TRUE!! It was such a relief when we figured that out, that it meant we could keep learning whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted!
Its an amazing job you guys are doing, which are helping millions of students like me trying hard in college 👍🏼

I think most problem of a "wals" is your skill in teach and motivate. But that video is a kind of some motivation trick.. so cool )
Thank you so much for: “ Tengo miedo del borracho”. It made my day. Your book is great!

Knowing how to be a great student begins with having a great teacher and ... sadly... there aren't many of those.
True. We need to really take care to not take the great ones for granted!

replace the word 'studying' with having fun and you're halfway there
Is there a "How to be a Great Parent of a Great Student" edition?
This is SUCH a good idea. Writing a note to myself now.
Can you make the ebook available on your site? (because I'm not a great fan of Amazon)

interesting.
I'm feeling very "seen" here. I'll be getting copies for my also "clever" kids.
Oh my goodness, this is so lovely to hear. What a gift for your kids to be understood, too!! 💜🦉
What amazing voice you have. You should consider to do an ASMR channel. Lol
You are too kind! Well, I do talk to my cats a lot. 💜🦉
How big is the book? I am not a reader, I am on my second book right now.
It's slim but powerful! About 120 pages. Each chapter can be read in a short sitting. Thank you for considering it! 💜🦉
Amazing, thank you. God bless. I love the kindness.

Hi socratica
Hello Socratica Friend!! 💜🦉
I'm not interested in being a good student but understand my subjects
I can’t relate to the book because in school I had the opposite kind of grades as the author aka bad grades in poor schools
Don't give up! It's never too late to learn. We've learned *so much* after we left school.
