I am way beyond university, but let me tell you this, dear students:
I wish I had someone tell me these topics much earlier. By now I have figured out all of them by myself. But it took me many years.....
So: Be friendly to yourself and follow these steps!

I have been a self confident loner all of my 67 years.. and even I have done the things this gal is suggesting.. I developed an ability and confidence in myself at a very early age.. and several of the step I went through are exactly as this young lady has said.. So those of you that pft this and shine it on are fools who in the end will wish they had learned a little of this earlier.. Because we all learn these techniques' or end up those poor unfortunate souls that never learned to grow up.. Information is out there all you have to do is let it in! wait did she say cut down on my coffee!! egads... I will die! I go out in the woods, work in my shop, or try and build some little electronic thing.. But since I just started teaching myself electronic last year that can be a source of stress.. But a lot of fun too.. especially since I don't know what the heck I am doing.. Great learning video.. I hope some of the folks out there hear your words and set up there life's schedule around the thing you have suggested carry on!

Thanks so much for your kind comment! Do you mean how to study for multiple choice? We do have a video on that: bit.ly/MC_Tests
But if you mean how to study for more than one test at one time - ohhh boy is that a huge challenge. We are planning a video on time management, but in the meantime we suggest you use a planner, count back a week from each test (at least), and put in your planner time to study ~2 pomodoros each day for each test.
Here's our video on the Pomodoro Technique (this is the best, we use it more than any other technique): bit.ly/PomodoroSocratica

LISTEN. WE'VE HEARD ABOUT THE BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT EATING RAMEN- PUT THE VEGETABLES IN YOUR RAMEN. i like frozen veggie blends with frozen fajita meat (cut up w/ kitchen scissors and microwaved for 3 mins on high to save time) in your ramen (just go by the instructions) and salsa (my fav is mango pineapple salsa, kept cold for a fun texture). it's filling, it's hitting protein, carbs, and veggies, and i can justify having more coffee with it.

It all starts in middle school..the stress becomes higher and higher. The though of failure in your future just makes you want to give up, nothing left for you. You focus is so hard in one subject you totally forget about the other and go down to an F, you aren’t proud at all. Your parents scream at you every week “forcing” you into getting straight A’s. “ Having a job is way harder” It’s true but I haven reached that point yet I’m still stuck in this hole. I get distracted easily it’s stupid I know, but I can’t help it! I’m loosing all my friends and my family isn’t helping nor are my teachers..they act like it’s so easy I don’t know how and I can’t relate. You start thinking about death, suicidal becomes an option too stop the stress, panic, anxiety etc. It’s all just so...stressful!

I had to cut back the number of class hours I was taking as a Junior and Senior in college to about 12 credit hours a semester (Electrical Engineering). It took me an extra year and a half to graduate, and it was still super stressful. I never felt like I had enough time to really learn and absorb the course material before I would have to apply it to some project I was working on. It got so bad, I resorted to purchasing course textbooks a semester ahead of time, just so I could have more time to focus on projects. I think many instructors forget how much effort goes into learning a subject when you are seeing it for the first time. If you are a "slow learner" like I am, my advice is to stay the hell away from engineering.

    • @Socratica

We do think it's a shame how higher education is crammed into such a short amount of time. Wouldn't it be great to be able to take one class at a time, while working, so you can take your time and focus and not stress. We look back at that time in college and think it's such a shame we didn't have even a second to stop and enjoy it - we were working so hard. We hope it changes one day.

      @Socratica  4 роки тому

That's amazing that you noticed - mostly people don't notice sound quality unless there is something wrong with it and then it's all you can pay attention to. We do take sound quite seriously, and we've been working to get better at it. We put rugs on the floor to dampen echoes, and we record with an external microphone, not going into the camera. Then we also take a sample of the room noise and subtract it from the recording.

well my stress is with overwhelming tasks where every instructor thinks he is the only one I have a class with and try to occupy and utilize my time just for his course, also I can't say no if I see someone really in need for help and my phone never shut up with almost constant message form the students ask about things they missed or did not understand and there are funny moments in that like last night someone asked me if he can call me during his exam, so he can ask me the questions and I give him the answers by using Bluetooth earphones and he thought that I'm okay with that!!, the thing that I see difficult is having a time for me, I just feel fatigued and burned out but this is my last semester and I keep telling myself to just keep pushing and never think about it, and it will end in no time without you realize it, but the truth is I'm about to be the guy who doesn't care for anything and ask for the minimum.

    • @biavechiato

Could you not prioritise them? That's what I do. Don't be scared of letting professors down, your mental health is more important, after all. Either do the hardest ones first or the easiest ones to clean your way, I know how overwhelming it can be but that's how I manage my time.

    • @d7oo435

@@biavechiato i can prioritize the task between core courses and general one but both of them have the same Weight (every course is 3 credit hours), so the impact will be the same on my GPA I don't usually think about grades but this time as I said it's the last semester and its a shame if losing some marks leading me to lose Honours ("A" grade overall) which I think adds more pressure on me I guess, and I really appreciate you thank you so much you don't know how to make me feel that someone care.

    One obnoxious comment:
What about other stress!! The dog barking. The confusing people. The "is the way a person says x, setting oneself up for the others-anticipated-appreciation-of-x." Turns out they can control you or you them depending on whether you say "I'm doing x." or "may I do x?".(I'm doing x equivocates to imposed control. may I do x? splits in binary: if "yes", OK great. if "no", they control you) Its a mess; horrible. In sum there, seems to be a tripartite possibility for the self's expression of free will around another. Wheres the escape?
I guess one intuitive answer is to take a step back from humans for a bit :) not too tricky
    WA Ching.
Pessimist outlook. Dunno if independence from humans is something feasible during covid. So the best bet for this new stress is like "I can't do anything but I'm not trapped." (good! it could be worse!) (in the city. don't be confused) Not because I chose it, but" "good human" is a tricky thing to be. So because theres no perfect lifestyle, I guess I'm an up and coming patreon. (?) (in a digital based ecomony??)
"patreon" is a painful term in the context of a non well thought out economy with adults floating around. Play the system or beat the system. Its so silly poverty exists and causes so many 18 + something humans try to pull their hair out when its so easy to machine stuff and build houses. I know... silly right?
(It will be unique to note how when the vaccine for covid escapes phase II testing, it may be available en masse. So the pharmaceutical may release the formula for other countries would be a guess. That lapse of medical patent may not be typical for new drugs, I dunno. No longer sneaky. .? or atypical drug transparency?)
