@@delawarepro3539 most beginners go with a beaded rope because it’s more responsive-meaning that you can jump a bit slower and feel what the rope is doing better. That said, I started with a PVC rope. I also like to jump pretty fast. I do use my beaded rope, but it’s not my favorite at all-too much drag. No matter what, I suggest having more than one rope so you can switch back and forth. PVC and beaded ropes are relatively inexpensive and if you take care of them (avoiding jumping on rough surfaces without a jump rope mat), they’ll last a long time. I have a couple of videos on my channel playlist that I talk about my favorite ropes, if you’re interested in those.
