the water is still worse than in the first crisis, as well as the vegetation, with the jungle, but it already looks not bad, there is something to strive for ... P.S. character movement physics, if this is not a joke, from the early 2000s ..

Can you make the white wash spray more transparent? It's the only thing that sticks out to me as not being real, so respectfully I thought about it and thought maybe transparency might help
the only thing throwing me off from truly judging its performance, is the interaction of the dummy in the water. it's bizarre watching the dummy effortlessly walk through water like nothing, however it would be interesting to see the effects of resistance, and how that interacts consequently
The need to work on wetness next. Here water washing up on the sand has no effect on its color nor does it smoothen its shape like you would see on a beach in real life as the waves come in. Im sure that would take some serious GPU compute, but I'd love to see it.
It makes the whole environment feel so much more dynamic and alive. Now I'm hanging out for a cozy casual foraging and building game with environments like this...
It all looks beautiful; though the realistic looking grass reminds me of outside my house, where every step you take, like, 6 spiders come crawling out from behind your foot before the next step

amazingly realistic, it really adds a big somethin to an ambiance. Just a few improvements on the water's splaches when encountering a rock and it'd be awesome. The colour gradient depending on the level of the water is already incredible though, that's what cought my attention right away, it brings so much dynamism to the environment. The dynamic fluid/flux mechanics could look even greater I reckon. Keep doing this and we'll have the most astonishing visual for a pirate game

I've been watching the evolution of computer graphics for decades. One thing they've never been able to do convincingly is the interaction of water and land -- wet and dry. Yeah, they can do water surfaces. They can do underwater scenes. They can do all kinds of terrain and solid objects, mist and clouds, etc... But never have I seen a completely convincing interaction of waves with the shore, or the area where a dry object meets the surface of the water, etc... And we're still not there yet. Lots of progress has been made. I mean, this is good compared to what's come before, but it still looks fake.

Beautiful, amazing actually but what it doesnt sell to me is the textures or shaders used to make the efects in the water, specially the foam, theres barely any. that sound of the foams bubbles, after the wave crashed, poping, just waitting for the next one... u know, if u got that, it would be hard to distinguish from reality.

Looks greatin some respects and pretty poor in others. General wave motion is good - transparency & reflections at depth are great. Shallow / flowing water over was poor, like jello. Also saw some distance artifacts like at 1:21 where there is obvious repetition patterns forming in the sea.
These physics are not as good as I expected but they are okay. The way that the water just slowly fades into existence higher up the mountain while being covered up by a bad splash animation. It looks bad. We've got a long way to go if this is the state of water physics.
people would have fun with this for hours if you built a game around diverting water to places Or like... digging with an excavator and draining stuff with it.
the fluids specially the water don´t have so much fps in the real life, take daown some FPS in the water animation or the fluid animatios to see better results or more realistic results.
i think weve reached a good stopping point with graphics atleast for a little while its time to focus on stability and smooth gameplay experience over graphics some videos games already look damn near like real life

That was amazingly well executed!! Some minor adjusts needed like the places where foam is created seems a bit off and too sudden at appearing and disappearing, also the distortion of the image while submerged is a bit too much, almost nauseous. Aside from those 2 little things, it has everything to be perfect
