    I look forward to cook Oden, because it seems amazing for a cold winter day. Also, it seems so simple to prepare it. Just to be sure: if I want to add potatoes or vegetables like carrot, broccoli or cauliflower - I cook them in water and add them to the Oden soup, when they are fully cooked, right ?

      That's exactly right.
      You should blanch the vegetables and then add them to the soup after they've been cooked. If you add potatoes to oden and leave them to cook for too long, they'll fall apart and the soup will become cloudy, so be careful.

    I see this plate in the show samurai gourmet, they stew everything also tomatoes, I can’t wait to try it
