Their dish look amazing but can we also appreciate how enthousiastic the cook is?? She's contagious! You see she takes pride in making delicious meals for people! That"s really a highlight!
wow looks amazing. thanks for showing us how hard they work at food prep prior to opening for service! it really makes you appreciate the love and effort put into the cooking!
everything looks so concise and professionally made, props to the owner of this onigiri joint! i hope i can come visit the shop one day and try them for myself
Onigiri became my comfort food when I traveled to Japan. Every day, I'd go to the Lawsons beneath my hotel and grab the tuna onigiri. But _this_ place looks like heaven!
Actually that's the concept of Onigiri...traditionally onigiri fillings only a Ume (pickled plum), and Katsuoboshi...this restaurant are famous for near infinite choices of fillings and the size and amount of fillings...back when I goes to Japan, I tried like 3 times goes in this place, before it sold out in just 3 hours or so...notice that all the employees are all women, mothers and grandmas in general...
I think it’s more like 70% and 30% filling, which is fine. The onigiri that I have at my local supermarket ( not in Japan ) only got 10% filling, the size is also much smaller and the price is about the same.
First place I saw a Japanese Rice Ball was in 'Zatouichi' movies, the blind swordsman. It's one of those recognitions, that engages the imagination, if you've never had one before and I haven't. You know it's sticky rice with meat inside, which is, in theory, the perfect food. The Chinese have a version with lotus leaf wrapped around it. Latin world has the tamale, but with corn, I believe. This is my first time seeing a Rice Ball, being made and it's nice to be right, for a change.
You should definitely try one yourself. They come in an array of flavours and fillings and soooo many are sooo yummy. Well, you already know this from the video. Haha. Perhaps, if it’s hard to find a place that sells them, you can try making them yourself? It’s not so hard to make them and to purchase the ingredients are pretty easy since seaweed and other Japanese ingredients you can just get at your local Asian market or online.
My favorite part was squeezing the red yokes.I live for a portion of the year in rural northern Wisconsin, trees outnumber people 100,000 to 1 (probably more but I haven’t counted them in a couple of years) and while I’ve never been sure if it was a joke or not a couple years age a fine dining restaurant hybrid (meaning it had a gas station) said “try our Sushi special” it came 2 ways, a bun w/ fix n’s mayo tomato pickles onions and lettuce or with a selection of individual gourmet edible “plates” also referred to as Ritz or Clubhouse crackers.
I live in Ontario Canada and when I'm fast enough, I can buy onigiri at a local Asian market near me, as it sells out quickly, but it's only tuna mayo or artificial crabmeat and mayo. Plus, I've never seen such big onigiri before, and I follow a lot of Japanese UA-cam channels. I'm coming to visit your beautiful country in December 2024 through to mid January 2025. I know I couldn't handle the heat and humidity in summer, but still, I can always come back again to see the sakura blossoms 🌸, right? I'd be honoured to visit your restaurant! Cheers from 🇨🇦
I'm Japanese. Japanese traditional Onigiri is smaller and it's 2 or 3 versions such as pickled plum, dried bonito flakes or kelp. Most Japanese have never seen such big Onigiri before. Many of the ingredients she puts in her onigiri are her originals, such as avocado and cream cheese, which are not included in traditional Onigiri. Onigiri are portable meals traditionally made at home. They have only been sold in stores since a few decades. Restaurants specializing in onigiri, as this one does, are relatively a new fad.
Wait. You rush for "it's only artificial crabmeat an mayo"???? When you are at the place you cyn buy the ingredients for awesome homemade Onigiri? You okay?
ooh stray kids playing at 8:40 , but also wow this all looks so delicious and the preparation before they even open the restaurant is insanely meticulous, definitely want to go someday
The way them separated the white and yellow egg is so cool

This rice ball is crafted with care, each filling meticulously chosen. It's really lovely!
wow looks amazing. thanks for showing us how hard they work at food prep prior to opening for service! it really makes you appreciate the love and effort put into the cooking!
全国に多過ぎるラーメン屋さんの代わりに、

Look so much better than the ones selling at convenient stores! I love that she hardly pressed the rice at all.
That yoke separating technique is wow!

Hello from Brazil🇧🇷
I admire how the Japanese cook with so much technique, I hope to one day reach this level of cooking
Thanks for your comment from Brazil!

Wow. Separating egg yolks like that is a skill!
They froze it to make the soft yolk hard which will make the separation easier.
@@tsuki6230that can't be, the white would freeze first
@@xaiano794 its stated in subtitle that its frozen egg
@tsuki6230 I think I might have to try but I can't see how you would get just the white liquid
@@xaiano794 prob thawed a bit so not 100% frozen, just need enough coldness for yolk to harden
具の種類も豊富で美味しいそうです❤
おにぎりって日本の文化🇯🇵なので、ますますご活躍ください!
The passion shines through in every video. It's truly inspiring.
The art of cooking rice japan is the best
Japanese cuisine is so rich and flavorful!! I'd love to visiy this onigiri place one day!
Man, I'm so hungry watching this right before I go to sleep 😂
Wow that’s a lot of filling. A lot of times I get ones that are 80% rice 20% filling 😂

This looks amazing and so much work goes into making it. I want to visit this olace now, seeing how much work goes into making them!
Wish I could like this video twice. Quality content right here.
Edit: just booked a ticket to Tokyo

Zatoichi is a great movie!😆
That rice ball is just salt and white rice, but it looks delicious because of the way Shintaro Katsu eats it.
That looks so delicious! And her hands are so quick
It’s a pleasure to watch an artist at work. 💕
Each part is made with so much care, obvious to see why there are people waiting when they open up.
These actually look filling.
...I want some in my stores here in America!
