Fun fact: Usually, Nintendo usually send 3D models of Mario as a reference point for other studios designing him. In Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, the Mario designs were done from scratch at Ubisoft and that was a surprise to Shigeru Miyamoto on how well they did it. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that Sparks of Hope also brought in Yoko Shimomura of Mario & Luigi and Kingdom Hearts fame to help out Grant Kirkhope and Gareth Corker. That makes it that she composed 3 out of 4 of the Mario RPG series. 😊

I heard the delevoper of mario rabbids said hes planning on creating a new rayman game after they did the Phantom Show DLC. Quote: "giving him the love he deserves". ...he knows what we fans want.
If that's true I'm hopeful for what we'll see next for Rayman, he seems to genuinely care about the characters he works with and want to do them justice.
Many hours of my time spent on Rabbids Go Home was just abusing the Rabbid in the Wii Remote. Also I’d love for a Mario + Rabbids 3 to have Mario and Rayman meet for the first time. Like there were complaints that Mario and Rayman never got to interact in the DLC for Sparks of Hope. So why not address those complaints and make it a selling point. Imagine exploring a mashup of Rayman and Mario’s worlds. Heck imagine a Rabbids game that brought them back to their roots as characters in Rayman’s world and have them go to war against Captain Razorbeard’s forces. Maybe it could be a Rabbids Go Home 2 in all but name by having the Rabbids collecting scrap to help aid in the war against the Robo Pirates
One can easily forget how threating the Rabbids once were. I was pretty confused when I played raving Rabbids 2, since my first experience was Raving Rabbids 1 DS.

The rabbids didn’t kill Rayman. Ubisoft did( you know, now that I’m thinking about it I wouldn’t call Rayman dead, a more accurate word would be underused.)
You won’t believe the whiplash I felt when I found out that the Rabbids started as a video game. My first exposure was from the Nickelodeon show. I do remember having fun with them, and I admittedly still do, though what happened to Rayman because of their presence does suck.
I remember as a kid i had a nightmare that these little fucks were chasing me and ever since i was scared/hated them. I think the first time i’ve encountered them was on capri sun boxes/pouches
Anthony, with all due respect... Rabbids go Home has traditional romanian gypsy brass music, not jazz 😅. Ubisoft advertised that fact a lot back then lol
I think I'd tolerate the Rabbids a bit more if they looked like they did in the Go Home cutsenes. They're actually kinda cute there. Vanilla Rabbids are raw overused potato sacks.
I don't know about you but I really would love a Mario + Rabbids series despite a bit of poor sales on the 2nd game. Sparks of Hope became like my Top 5 favorite RPGs of all time. People should really give that series a chance besides how outlandish it sounds. Mario with guns working with those annoying rabbits wouldn't feel like a fun game, but it really became my favorite among all the Switch games I own
7:49 Correction: RRR GBA was made by a completely different studio and used their own engine, separate from R3 GBA. Also - both the GBA and DS versions started out as Rayman 4 which is why they're platformers. The GBA game especially was changed to include Rabbids really late in development.
I have been researching this topic all day, just out on a whim, only to see that ant Dude has uploaded a video covering the full Series that same day. Get out of my head Anthony Thank you

As someone who's been playing the Rayman games since the first one... I actually liked the rabbids. In fact, I still have a soft spot for the second game due to actually being able to play as them. (As well as less amount of mini-game repeats). Maybe I'm just a weirdo, but I always found them endearing in how stupid and obnoxious they are. The amount of vitriol they receive from people for some reason also endears me to them. I can sympathize with people saying they killed Rayman for the longest time though, and I can say with confidence that separating the two was for the best. And I'm happy to see that the Mario + Rabbid games have been well-received.
one thing about the rabbids and minions being french that needs to be pointed out : they're french creations *marketed towards the american public* (more specificaly american youth), born from the same "obnoxiously loud and crass" logic as oggy and the cockroaches and the stupid invaders (that, incidentaly, was also the art style lated adopted by rayman in origins and legend). you take that however you want, i think it's very telling...and very funny
You know what, I'm glad you made this Rabids Go Home video with extra steps because both the DS and the Wii version looks really fun and I would not have known otherwise because before Mario & Rabids Kingdom Battle (or whatever it is called) I avoided those little screaming fuckers like the plague
Fun fact you can play as the Rabbids in surprisingly enough the Nickelodeon flash game Super Brawl 3 of all things. Mainly because they were airing a show with the Rabbids in it so that’s why they are there but still it’s surprising.

Rabbids Go Home (wii) is still one of the most underrated games ever in my eyes.
Always get happy to see people genuinely like it.
One can easily forget how threating the Rabbids once were. I was pretty confused when I played raving Rabbids 2, since my first experience was Raving Rabbids 1 DS.
4:03 oh my gosh. That explains Rayman Legends. It's a 1 million lum easter egg!
Rabbids build my childhood and seing them doing a collab with mario was a dream.Sparks of hope was the reason i bought my switch before i knew about kirby, smash and the other mario games
13:49 rabbids becoming skibidi toilet before skibidi toilet
They predicted skibidi toilet
3:45 Bro, I was looking for this early development game all my childhood, I would find screenshots thinking it's the Rayman 4 or something, but it always was Rayman Raving Rabbids, freaking finally, my search is over
The rabbids didn’t kill Rayman. Ubisoft did( you know, now that I’m thinking about it I wouldn’t call Rayman dead, a more accurate word would be underused.)
Besides Rayman and the rabbids could’ve just been 2 different franchises that occasionally crossed over
Thank you someone else realizes that
You won’t believe the whiplash I felt when I found out that the Rabbids started as a video game. My first exposure was from the Nickelodeon show. I do remember having fun with them, and I admittedly still do, though what happened to Rayman because of their presence does suck.
At least you could play as Spyro in all the Skylanders games unlike the Rabbid games where Rayman was in like 4?
That shot from Captain Laserhawk is one hell of a flashbang, what the hell
Cowgirl jumpscare
I remember as a kid i had a nightmare that these little fucks were chasing me and ever since i was scared/hated them.
I think the first time i’ve encountered them was on capri sun boxes/pouches
Anthony, with all due respect... Rabbids go Home has traditional romanian gypsy brass music, not jazz 😅. Ubisoft advertised that fact a lot back then lol
15:26 This game is like bad piggies before bad piggies….
Bad bunnies if you will.
As a Romanian, I respect the hell put out of Rabbids go home since the ost is inspired by Romanian folk song and its so good.
I had no idea that Rayman was in Sparks of Hope. That so cool, I love seeing him animated so well!
I think I'd tolerate the Rabbids a bit more if they looked like they did in the Go Home cutsenes. They're actually kinda cute there. Vanilla Rabbids are raw overused potato sacks.
Mmm potatoes.
I don't know about you but I really would love a Mario + Rabbids series despite a bit of poor sales on the 2nd game. Sparks of Hope became like my Top 5 favorite RPGs of all time. People should really give that series a chance besides how outlandish it sounds. Mario with guns working with those annoying rabbits wouldn't feel like a fun game, but it really became my favorite among all the Switch games I own
Finally i have been waiting to hear your thoughts thoughts on the rabbids.
I genuinely have rabbid brainrott. My fascination with these goofy guys goes wayyy further than you would ever think.
@NumberOneRated1997 yo
Glad to see rabbids go home getting the respect it deserves.
For me the Rabbids will always have a good place in my heart. Love these silly little guys.
i wonder if you're gonna do the just dance series? just dance 4 has to be the absolute peak of the series btw.
I remember having so much fun with rayman raving rabbids 2 as a kid
7:49 Correction: RRR GBA was made by a completely different studio and used their own engine, separate from R3 GBA. Also - both the GBA and DS versions started out as Rayman 4 which is why they're platformers. The GBA game especially was changed to include Rabbids really late in development.
Idea for the Rabbids franchise: No minigame collection
So far I enjoy both mario + rabbids games. Edge being my favorite character .It was so much fun playing through them.I just need to get the dlcs
The Rabbids are a cinematic masterpiece.
I have been researching this topic all day, just out on a whim, only to see that ant Dude has uploaded a video covering the full Series that same day.
Get out of my head Anthony
Thank you
I hope the next Rabbids crossover is with the Toon Link Zelda universe. That would be a cool fit
My first exposure to Rayman was through the DS version of Rayman raving Rabbids TV Party. Thank you for awakening my PTSD.
Comparing Skylanders to this is a crime, it’s like he didn’t even play Skylanders…
Woah, I remember reading about Ray Man 4 in Nintendo Power!!! Wild it never got made.
Antdude Nicktoons retrospective video where is it we all want it so where is it
I am so incredibly happy that you were a fan of RGH, it’s genuinely one of my favorite Wii games ever
Next: More Kirby contents!
The "Rabbidass" actually got me to laugh out loud 😂
They didn’t “kill” Rayman. He’s still around.
Alright, list any mainline Rayman game they released on console after 2013.
List a mainline 3D game since 2003 that's not a port.
If you can't that doesn't count as alive
@@Crimcomet He was in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, not too long ago.
Whether or not Rayman is alive is NOT only predicated on “mainline games”.
@@Mac14329 Bro, that's just a freaking DLC, it has the same value of Rayman being in Brawlhalla, do you really think this counts? I mean Rabbids are from the same franchise, but this still ain't Rayman's game.. Also the Mario + Rabbids creator left Ubisoft, soo don't get any hopes from him making a new Rayman game, instead spam #makerayman4 at some of Ubisoft's useless trailers or showcase.
@@noemisango8478 It doesn't matter if it's DLC. It's still Rayman. This isn't about "value".
You should be grateful that Rayman has a big part in something at all. But nope, it's not Rayman if it's not a Rayman game, I guess.
"Ubisoft's useless trailers or showcase." So everything is useless compared to Rayman. I see.
News flash: Rayman is not the only thing from Ubisoft that people like. Their trailers and showcase are only "useless" to you.
I want to see Antdude talk about the "Ty the Tasmanian Tiger" series and the "Skylanders" series.
Was not expecting that Captain laserhawk clip
wasn't expecting there was an watch dogs movie after legion was a biggest dissapointment sequel courtesy of ubisoft
After all these years, I still hope that the rabbids is just a very elaborate prank and that they will eventually bring Rayman back and he kicks them out for good.
1:26 French guy here and I'm so dissapointed in my country for this fact. In the name of my nation, please accept this apologie...
I have played rabbid: spark of hope and I don't find really good. It's so generic with repetitive mechanic and frustrating gameplay imo. I liked the cutscene and design but the gameplay in himself... nah man its bad
PS: UBISOFT GODDAMN IT, BRING BACK RAYMAN FOR REAL (not in a freaking dlc)
Antdude screaming at the end was surprisingly unsettling…
Why is Rayman dressed like NitroRad?
I honestly got so over my rabid hatred of Rabbids when that Rayman 4 prototype leaked, I finally came to understand that the game it was going to turn out to be was not in a million years going to be what I wanted out of another Rayman release. If things hadn't gone the way they did, we may never have gotten Origins and Legends in its stead. I'm kind of happy about it, looking back -- and Rayman's not dead yet. As long as he keeps popping up here and there, that spark of hope™ for a new game will always linger...
also rabbid peach is h--
Jesus loves you
But not you!
Thanks toadchannel9619 this was definitely important to say on a video about rabbids
Thanks, Toad Channel.
Thanks @toadchannel9619
I had no idea there was another Rabbids solo game released at 2022, wtf
It's a underrated game
There's that one rabbid ghost girl everyone certainly had a crush on in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope... Only to turn out that there was a piranha plant rabbid that had a similar effect. Wild.
“Everyone” bro is projecting crazy hard right now
Who is "everyone"?
Seek professional help as soon as possible.
Honestly what made me love Mario+Rabbits was the ghost boss. I didn't expect to hear the boss not only sing but insult mario while singing
It's the only Rabbids game i ever played and it gave me some hope for the Mario+Rabbids sequel
What made me really love mario+rabbids is the other ghost boss in the sequel
5:50 THEIR FACES LOLOLOL HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE THEM 😭😭😭😭😭😭
the rhythm game on rayman raving rabbids tv party on Wii with the instruments made my childhood
day 19 of asking antdude to talk about pokemon clones
Hey! That way he could actually try Yo-kai Watch for once!
Yeah I'm guessing just dance 2018 put the m+r kingdom battle version on it, but I don't know
As an Italian, seeing all the love for the Mario + Rabbids duology in the comments truly melted my heart.
30:24 sounds like a reference to the Ted tv show
Antdude the Rabbids series drives EVERY 90's Kid insane! The series is basically on par with Cancer to me and it's worst offense was pushing Rayman in the Background of his own series. I hate the Rabbids.
Dafuq...
I don’t know, the fact that both Mario Rabbids games sold so well and were so liked compared to Rayman, who always, despite me liking him too, lagged behind the other video game greats. I think Rayman will be truly back one day, but you can’t deny the Rabbids have done his job better than him.
@@jacksonvoet8312No just no. One game does not improve an entire series of shitty games. 😕
@@Pridetoons I don’t know, most people here seem to like most of the Rabbids games, and you haven’t offered a single reason why you dislike the games, or why you consider one of Ubisoft’s only good franchises to be “shitty”. I honestly hope Rayman and the Rabbids get picked up by Nintendo, because I’m worried Ubisoft is a sinking ship.
@@jacksonvoet8312You're joking right? What is there to explain when Antdude already explained it for me. The series is mostly a series of passable to shitty mini game collections with only Three good games to the Rabbits Brand. Also most people here like the Rabbid series!? Did we even watch the same video!?
As someone who's been playing the Rayman games since the first one...
I actually liked the rabbids. Maybe it's because I was a teenager who was enamored with the Wii at the time, but I got a kick out of the first two Raving Rabbids games.
Let’s go new antdude vid
FINALLY!!! Someone talked about this
I really hate how the Rabbids took over it all and threw away Rayman in the shadows
Fun fact you can play as the Rabbids in surprisingly enough the Nickelodeon flash game Super Brawl 3 of all things. Mainly because they were airing a show with the Rabbids in it so that’s why they are there but still it’s surprising.
Sparks of Hope is one of those few games I have actually 100% completed🎮
