I didn't know about your channel before the Honda builds, but I love them all. Even though I'm not a Honda guy, I think most of us can appreciate these well engineered classics with a cult following. I just like seeing sweet cars made to be as clean as they deserve again. Fabrication UA-cam is cool too, but what tends to happen is I watch part 12 of 26, and miss the entire rest of the build. Nice to see stuff getting banged out in a few videos with "big" progress
Do a street/strip build out of a 07-13 GM SUV frame, with a boosted LS, 4wd, and a 4L80E. Put whatever body you want on it with those badass fab skills & go really fast without fighting for traction. Sleeper Volvo is cool but 4wd/auto would be a different level of fast.
I love these build. Making a normal car handle real good and getting it as fast or even faster then the top spec model. Youre making these cars special.
Here's my two cents: anyone can do these small build series, but your fabrication is very impressive and well worth the wait time between videos. Do what makes you happy at a pace that is manageable, and the real fans will stick around no matter what.
There is a small gap under the rear spoiler I recommend cleaning because it gets full of dirt and rust over time. Also check the space behind the rear speakers, that usually gets rusty aswell.
To bad they're so rusty in the UK. I live in Belgium and had a UK import goddamn that was a bad purchase was able to get my money back because the floor was so gone. Did the traditional coat it black and rock with it 🙄
@@wimctrfk2 Yep unfortunately salted roads in the winter just destroy cars over here. Theres not much that is older than 20 years that isn't just a rust bucket.
The EP3 platform is so underrated. I never thought I’d like it till my brother owned one. Now every time I’m on FB market place I’m looking for a good deal on an EP3. 😂
My younger brother has just restored the underside on his Type R & put it back to factory stock. The prices here in the uk have risen sharply for factory stock Type Rs. Not many unmodified ones left here! Cheers. Leigh 🏴
From a safety standpoint it's highly recommended not to cross strap when towing. If one strap fails, the other one will lose tension. If you strap straight, one strap failing does not affect the other. Just an FYI. Keep up the cool content!
gonna be a sweat build! thinner/gun wash like higher grade autobody stuff will probably take those stains out and its pretty inexpensive. its what we use in our autobody shop for cleaning guns, paint transfer, old stuck on adhesives, overspray stuff like that. give it a try
I also support the K24 supercharged route. Having owned an 8th Gen SI and a 2nd Gen ILX with the K24, the added torque of the K24 is so nice and the deeper engine note is music to my ears!
I’m a big fan of the EP3, I’m excited to see what you do with this. I picked up an FA5 a year ago and fell in love with it. Loving all the Honda builds. Now I need to find an EP3 of my own 😂 keep it up man!
Had an 03 EP3 in black that I built up pretty heavily. PeakBoost turbo and Frankenstein motor swap. It layed down some serious power. Spun the wheels WOT all the way into 4th 😂 I miss that car dearly. Wish I wouldn’t have sold it. I saw it on the road years later and all the CTR stuff I put on the outside was either broken or smashed in some way. Brought a tear to my eye. C’est la vie.
Can't wait to see the accord turbo. Literally got my same gen accord v6 manual around the time you started the project with yours. It's my daily so I'm not planning on doing anything crazy but for the future, your videos are definintely giving some inspiration! Excited to see how it turns out.
Here in the uk these are very sort after , some of ours had 220 brake with LSD from factory! Amazing VTEC cross over and great handling ! Put some proper European market bumpers and headlights on it and enjoy !😊
Ep3’s are awesome your gonna love it ging ( me and my cousin built one about 8-10 years ago that we bought from a local junkyard for 600$ bucks with a clean title we supercharged it for 1800$ put about 20k miles on it then traded it for two bug eye wrxs that were caged and we parted them out then built a 2010 California special mustang gt together
I had an 04 ep3 almost from new with 14k miles on it and sold at 170k miles. I loved that car. Keep this one and do a k20a2 with real vtec and a supercharger. Definitely stoked to see an ep3 on the channel and excited to see where you go with it!
im from the UK and these cars are very common over here and we have a fair few different engine types, our typeR versions are the k20a2 engine(198bhp) theres the sport version whiich is the d16y7 (119bhp) 1.7turbo diesel 152bhp and the standard 1.4 non Vtec 98bhp, im not going to lie i haven't seen what the US version of these are with the Type R kit on them, would be nice to see you do that with this one. can't wait for the next video on this civic :) love your content and everything you build bro. keep it coming!
Type R kit, Midori Green, and some white wheels. I would put money on these increasing in value in the future because the hatchbacks were only ever available in the Si trim and so they aren't as common and when done right they can look really good. Also, as someone who wasn't a huge fan of these when they first came out, as they seemed so much bulkier than the previous generation hatchbacks, they have grown on me with time because of how much larger and heavier everything has gotten since. I've considered buying one, but like with most older Hondas, finding a clean one is a task.
I just like watching people do stuff to cars, whether it's all fab work or just simple builds. The last 2 Hondas you have done are ones that I have owned. The only thing I did with my Fit was put a Yonoka exhaust on it. Current car is a 2012 Lancer that gets me places.
the lil ginganinja went from video games to buying a car from a swamp as a simple build. how much you've grown as a car dude and a person since the start of the youtube. keep up the great work dude!
a WHITE EP3!! being sat in a field for 5 years \i'd be worried about rust. I own an EP1 and it's spent it's life by the sea so it's a rust problem, cant wait to see this build!
Very hype for EP3 content. Daily is an 01 auto es2 now. It’s so slow so I just went cheapo coilovers and Miata gold BBS but I’d love to kswap eventually when I have the space. Learning about the whole 7th gen/ep3/rsx has been fun I think you’ll enjoy the platform, especially since you loved the Fit!
Hey Gingium, I remember Fred the Focus. My advice for the Honda is simple: do what will make you happiest with with the Honda. I watch your videos because you're both inspiring and relatable. I'm going to watch the entire build :)
Just for future reference, rubbing alcohol and a little bit of elbow grease will get the tree sap right off. I'm definitely excited to see this mini build, something more budget friendly and down to earth is really refreshing to see!
I respect the honestly about making Honda videos and doing what performs better, it is your job after all! I will watch anything you post regardless, I love all your content and just want to see you succeed and make progress on all your vehicles! Keep up the good work. Also I think simple build to flip and make some money if you want, otherwise why not go all the way and put a type R kit and a k24 in it. Enjoy the car!
I like those little hatches and their quirky dash mounted shifter. Long ago I bought a 2000 Civic si in 01, great car. In 05 my dad bought one of these hatches from a Honda dealer that was a demo model so he got it for a good price. Thing is, dad's si came with the optional factory installed ground effects and 17" wheels. These additions made it look sooo much better imo. My rents house near the high school I attended so among the teen Honda crowd we became known as the house "with 2 si's", lol. Kids in their Hondas were always driving by and revving their engines. Also, the day my dad bought the car, he let me drive it so I wound it out and slammed second, getting it to bark the tires (something my b16a2 could never do with it's measly 111 ft of torque). Dad let out a little laugh and said "first time I've seen a 4-banger do that!". Those kseries motors weren't powerful (160hp like my 2000 si) but that larger block squeezed out some decent second gear chirping torque. Good times.
Also I meant to mention Gingium that yours is identical to the one my father had. White with the optional ground effects and larger 17" wheels. Or were they 16's?🤔 Anyway, thanks for bringing back the memories.
Personally don't see why people care if it's a simple build or a fab build, I watch regardless
Ill never understand why people complain about what other people upload 😂 if it's that serious go make your own content

HondaGang man for 15 years here now, but i still love the Miata and drift truck builds 💗💗💗
I’m a big fan of the EP3, I’m excited to see what you do with this. I picked up an FA5 a year ago and fell in love with it. Loving all the Honda builds. Now I need to find an EP3 of my own 😂 keep it up man!
EP3 certainly arent forgotten in the uk
Had an 03 EP3 in black that I built up pretty heavily. PeakBoost turbo and Frankenstein motor swap. It layed down some serious power. Spun the wheels WOT all the way into 4th 😂
I miss that car dearly.
K24 supercharger . Am loving these more relatable builds and keep the builds jdm old school . 🙏
Back when I was a kid, I loved racing this Gen of Civic in ForzaMotorsport2. Loved it and the game
Ep3’s are awesome your gonna love it ging
( me and my cousin built one about 8-10 years ago that we bought from a local junkyard for 600$ bucks with a clean title we supercharged it for 1800$ put about 20k miles on it then traded it for two bug eye wrxs that were caged and we parted them out then built a 2010 California special mustang gt together
I had an 04 ep3 almost from new with 14k miles on it and sold at 170k miles. I loved that car. Keep this one and do a k20a2 with real vtec and a supercharger. Definitely stoked to see an ep3 on the channel and excited to see where you go with it!
I've never heard of this thing but I LIKE IT. I'll watch as many videos as you make, long build or short build.
im from the UK and these cars are very common over here and we have a fair few different engine types, our typeR versions are the k20a2 engine(198bhp) theres the sport version whiich is the d16y7 (119bhp) 1.7turbo diesel 152bhp and the standard 1.4 non Vtec 98bhp, im not going to lie i haven't seen what the US version of these are with the Type R kit on them, would be nice to see you do that with this one. can't wait for the next video on this civic :) love your content and everything you build bro. keep it coming!
Thank you for saving that car, man. I wish I could get my hands on one of those.
Quality filmmaking over type of content every time. All of your videos are great, regardless of subject.
as someone whos got such a soft spot for these EP3's id love to see it on the channel for a bit
Would love to see you make this a type r! Reliable fun! Love your videos. Will watch no matter what you do.
I’ve always had a place in my heart for the ep3. Build it up man
