Tony the -stepfather- Father did more to catch the killer and had more common sense investigating the crime than the actual police. It’s shocking and sad to see really.
Honestly I’m so happy that the mother called the police to make sure nothing happened during Travis and Tony’s meeting. If he had that “feeling” while talking with Travis and he was alone?? Jesus Christ man I’m just happen he didn’t end up throwing his life away. Even though they probably would’ve viewed that as a crime of passion.
It makes me furious that friends are leaving each other alone while being intoxicated. One time, one of my friends went missing at the club and I found her passed out in this bush not too far from the entrance. We had been looking for her for like 30 min, but luckily we kept searching because if not some morally depraved person could have and then who knows what her fate might have been. (For those curious, she said she needed a spot to vomit and then fell asleep lol)
I feel bad for her friends in this situation. When you’re drunk, things that may be alarming when you’re sober seem completely fine and not a big deal. I’m sure they assumed everything would work out ok. I can’t imagine the stress and guilt of waking up the next morning and realizing your friend is missing for real and things are not, in fact, ok.
Yeah, like- "Oh, she might be drunk and completely alone, late at night and far from home...but she knows the area, so she'll be fiiiine!" I swear, it's like people who'll be like "Oh yeah, I heard someone screaming in pain and calling for help next door, who just so happens to be the exact person you found mutilated in their basement...sorry I never said anything, I just thought they were being kooky!"
And more specifically, stuff like this makes me think back to a video from Nick Crowely (The Moments Before a Murder, specifically), where a child around the age of five or less was separated from their mom in a busy mall, when she turned her head for just a moment (Putting the next part in the "read more" section for semi-graphic details) The people who took the kid, two ten year olds, beat the younger one and dragged them across the mall floor by one of their legs, passing several people on their way out as the child screamed and cried for help...no one listened, and later, they were tortured and killed by the older kids near a train track, for the sole purpose of having the body swept away before it could be discovered...they didn't get away with it, but it doesn't stop what they already did from happening For that reason, stuff like this has *always* disturbed me just as much as the killings themselves, because as cold and malicious as the killer might be...I just can't imagine being one of the people letting them do it
Sounds like a wild night, glad to hear you all were safe it’s seriously sad and tragic that you can’t have hardly any trust for anyone you don’t know WELL.
Molly was also an amazing indie nail polish creator. She was such a positive force within our little community, and it hurt on so many levels to learn what she went through. She was a kind soul, and I'm so happy that I had the chance to be her friend.
Molly's case terrifies me because he held the lie for *7 whole years.* He literally fooled everyone, even his own children. That type of lying is out of someone's nightmares.
@@dawarror So just because 18 years of lying *can* happen means that 7 years of lying isn't evil? Both are bad, except the case described in this video is the murder of an innocent woman with so much left to her life. At least the father can still *be* a father, even if they aren't blood-related. The meaning of family goes beyond blood relations. Whether it be 7 years or 18 years, it's horrifying to live through an affair and cheating, although Molly's life was cut short because of her "husband's" affair.
The fact that he texted first ....if he dint text....no one might have gotten any clue...its a good thing he did... but i wonder why ..did he want to get caught ..cause that text made him the lead suspect
@@animallove3488 bc that’s how insane he is. Killers can go out of way to get involved into investigation bc they are wanting to relive their crime, they think they are much smarter. It’s def a sign of how mental he is
He did it to throw anyone off his trail, he was hoping it would just make him seem like the concerned friend making sure she got home OK to cover his tracks
It’s not even a “rule” either. Police departments change their rules whenever they feel like. One parent might be told 72 hours, and another might have an officer sent out immediately. It’s often down to the individual officer that they speak to, and what sort of person they are. I get that they need to make a decision based on circumstances, but it should never be 72 damn hours! It’s infuriating
@@MarioGoatse This. It's NOT the law and if you should raise cain if a cop ever tells you it is because they are 100% trying to brush you off. You know if your loved one is the sort to disappear; it is up to your discretion to judge that, NOT the officer.
The first 48 hours after someone goes missing are the most crucial. They essentially sentenced her to death by not bothering to try to find her sooner.
Thanks for not just telling the story, but adding the extras; the legalities, the psychology, the ways I can avoid being your next story, and the Ravens fantastic narration. I may have heard it before, but I'll always click to hear the EWU take on it...
@@Devil-Made I know he's done a few of the explore with us videos as well as these ones, but I haven't found him anywhere else yet. But I agree, I'd listen to him read the phone book
I been an Sub from the early days. Raven definitely sold it for me. However I can't stand the psychology aspect they've evolved to. Oftentimes they're wrong on the analysis. I don't know what professionals they consult. But they're definitely not experts.
I'm so mad at the first case. This guy already had A SHITTON of minor offenses. He already did time in prison, stole a car and there was a ton of suspicious behaviour in regards to the current case. (He suddenly re-does the carpet in his car?? He lied about his alibi, he's at work unscheduled with a huge cooler and turns off security cams and what not). They then still let him move and AFTER JUST 3 DAYS, they're like "Ahh, he's probably fine now!"
Get ready for much more of the same thanks to “criminal justice reform” and what they call “restorative justice”. We will be seeing many more very violent perps being treated like they themselves are the victims. God forbid (oh wait- god isn’t part of the deal anymore) people who commit violence and destruction have to face consequences for their choices. But it’s not their fault, it’s society’s fault.
ive never in my entire life heard someone who was so obviously acting and thinking on-script as when they played the audio of him "clearing his name". its so unnatural and theatrical. i already knew it was gonna be him but the second he started talking, it was concrete.
I'll never understand how authorities tell worried family members to wait 72 hours before filing a missing persons report, while on the other hand they'll say how the first 24 hours are crucial in finding any trace of the missing person.
If anyone ever goes missing that you know, just be aware that they CAN NOT make you wait often times they say you have to wait because a lot of times people return on their own and they don’t want to “waste” resources on people who are just gonna show up on their own but by federal law especially with a minor they technically can’t keep you from filing a missing persons report
@@tianarhastings8372 I thought the no-waiting rule applied to all children, the disabled, and other ages depending on the circumstances behind their disappearance, i.e an elderly person with dementia ? 🤷♀️
It's not a strict rule. The "waiting period" is merely a guideline in case the person is busy, out of reception, perhaps they forgot to reply, and things like that. These just happen to also be the same hours in which evidence and the perpetrator are easier to collect (the first hour is the best, but in crimes like these, an immediate response is almost impossible). If it's unusual for this person, report it immediately, but if that person has a history of running away, it will be more difficult to convince an officer that something is wrong. The more runaway attempts made (or missing persons reports for that person are filled out), the harder it is to get help. The thought is that the person is trying to escape a situation and doesn't want to be found. Sometimes that person has a valid reason for running away, but responding police officers won't always know this, and can only act on what information they are given: for example, "my daughters got into an argument and the youngest left. She usually goes to the park for a few hours, but now she won't pick up her phone." The real problem is that even people with this type of "history" are prone to the same problems as people without. They actually end up becoming the most vulnerable...I remember a case where the killer prayed on women who had emotional and behavioral health issues, or a history of family problems. As for my personal thoughts on police actions and missing persons: I understand not wasting resources if you have a large profile case (serial killer, active shooter, etc), but have a patrol car drive around and keep an eye out. If someone isn't busy, and there is no evidence of a crime scene requiring special investigations, send them to collect a statement or write the report. Maybe the person won't be found on time, but you can hopefully catch the criminal before he finds another target.
its bc 90% of the missing ppl return home, sooner or later. my friends helicopter mom called the cops on my friend bc he was 10 minutes late, back in the days when cellphones weren´t around.
Story 1: good friends leaving a friend behind at a club, especially when they left all their stuff randomly. As a girl we knew to go in pairs and have a buddy system. You don't leave a friend behind. Ever. That's a red flag if they go missing. Also taking a ride home from a random stranger is the dumbest thing you can do. We are told that from a young age. We are told that as young women. We are preached that when we move to college and going out late. I just wish people looked out for eachother more. Evil people exist everywhere and can't always be stopped, but keeping tabs on friends is free and easy.
Absolutely, I can’t imagine letting anyone wander off alone and drunk! No matter what happens you get them home safe, never let someone leave alone or with strangers.
Its sad that we have to drill it into our daughters, wifes and mothers but like you said evil exist everywhere and its better to be safe than sorry. I tell my daughter even if she needs a ride and thinks she is going to get in trouble it will be better phoning us and being safe.
Yes!!! I hate to even think this but the "friends" should feel guilty for leaving her behind. And he had the nerve to shake her dad's hand knowing he killed his daughter.
They were intoxicated minors so I highly doubt they were thinking about being safe. I’m pretty sure they were more worried about their parents finding out and just thought that she could find her own way home if they even though that while intoxicated. No hate I’m just stating my opinion.
I agree, she is amazing. There is another crime video that has interviews with her, she has worked so hard to overcome the harm he did. It also has Kenia’s father talking about going through dumpsters looking for his baby girl. I’m pretty sure it was Crime watch daily.
how dare Travis say his innocent victim “ruined his life” what a pos. the way cop give people the benefit of the doubt, just being they’re narcissistic and know how to talk to people, makes me physically ILL.
Sick, sick, sick that made me very angry, the nerve of that pitiful perverted monster. His mother does not sound much better, she helped create that walking disaster.
@@mememe217 They're human fucking beings. They pull up in a random gas station talking to people that never met, they're just supposed to know from nothing all of this about that psycho? You just had everything laid out for you so of course it seems obvious. People like him are known for being charismatic and fooling all kinds of people. Stop being silly.
Cops also have to give the impression that they are empathetic to the suspect so the suspect trusts them and possibly lets details slip or confesses. Its called being a detective. If you knew more about actual police work instead what you hear on law and order. You people are pathetic talking smack.
If i was a suspect in a murder case and they searched my web history… Red flags would show up. I’m obsessed with true crime stories. You do a great job with the analytical parts of psychology. The mind works in mysterious ways. Childhood trauma can have devastating consequences and lead to deadly acts!
Lol I say the same thing...I'm like damn..if they search my history they would think I'm the murderer! Lol but I can't help I loveeee these true crime channels and stories
I have a hard time finding channels to watch because sometimes I can’t stand their voices or it’s just cringe content. But, I love this channel. It’s so descriptive. Y’all go into the actual psychology of it. 10/10, we love you guys
It’s not just that this channel chooses incredibly interesting cases to cover, or that they find a way to condense the stories without leaving out any of the important stuff….it’s mostly that voice; it’s smooth, has the perfect cadence, incorporates an appropriate level of emotion, and clearly enunciates every word. This channel could literally just read old phone books from front to back in their entirety, and I’d listen to every moment of it without ever getting bored. I’d listen 3 or 4 times in a row!! 😂As long as this voice were doing the reading, I’d be first in line.
I am not an ASMR fiend by any course of the word .... But this man’s voice is pitch perfect to the point where I’m constantly thinking of it... Corpse Husband who?
The way Travis switched from “This has been so emotional for me I couldve done more” to “I can’t blame myself for that. Everyone makes their own choices & she chose to walk off with that guy” IN THE SAME SENTENCE sent chills into my fucking brain
The worst part for me is his voice Wavering, as if he was going to cry while saying it, but...almost scripted, as if he just a really good actor, but an actor nonetheless, knowing how to shift his tone to make less caring statements sound filled with remorse...
Aw, heck yeah! I can always count on the EWU Crew to come through. Thanks as always for highlighting the stories of the victims, and providing education on red flags so these sorts of things don't happen again. 🥰 You guys really do go the extra mile.
Wish I would've came across your channel way sooner... I'd rather watch this than any true crime on Cable TV. Such unique & credible content. So knowledgeable! Thanks for the great channel.
That victim's statement at the end of the first case. Holy shit, that woman's strong af. I would never be able to forgive a monster like him and wish him to find peace... She is one of the strongest people I ever heard of.
She has a massive amount of empathy. She knows that staying angry at her attacker for the rest of her life will make her miserable. She's not forgiving his actions. She's forgiving what happened for her own sake. I went through a lot of abuse in the past, even assault. I held onto so much resentment and anger for them for many years until I realized I hated how I was feeling. I can't change the past. What's done is done. What happened was awful, but I don't want it following me at all times. I'd rather move on and live the best life I can. Those who've hurt me can't hurt me anymore unless I allow those memories to consume me. I'm in therapy to let it all go. Travis's last victim is an amazing woman whom I know will move on from this horror. It's actually the biggest middle finger to those who have abused you. Most of them hurt you to drag you down. If you move on and are thriving, it means they failed.
My favorite part of all your videos is the fact that the victims story gets told again that's what always sticks with me is these people are real and they are gone and they deserve to be remembered especially the unsolved cases I always seem to find a deeper appreciation for life after watching your videos I think it's important to highlight the dark parts of life to show people to be aware of there surroundings and stay close to loved ones.
I always get a creepy feeling when I watch videos of someone who was murdered. It's a weird juxtaposition to see them lively and smiling when I know what awaits them. Love your content. Thank you!
It's weird right? The expansion in technology and good video footage showing someone in their living moments adds an errie affect when you know what the eventual outcome will be.
@@KD-qp3gc Well, after losing a beloved uncle at an early age, watching my great grandpa painfully die in front of me, and having experienced the loss of many family friends and general friends, most through suicide...I can agree both with these sentiments and that you're an ass-

Humans are downright evil... Demons are no more in hell, they live among us! Why are people so cruel? May the souls of all the victims in these cases rest in perfect peace! I can't imagine what their families must have been through. 💔
my fav part of your episodes is when you break down the psychology of everything! --- keep including more such detail as it's not only interesting but I think offers insight for how we can best protect ourselves from such encounters/people - thanks, BRO!
I lived 45 minutes from where Molly lived. My grandma worked with them. Everyone said she was such a sweet woman. Her life was ripped away by a terrible man. R.i.h miss Molly. I know a whole lot of people miss you and love you dearly.
i truly love the editing style of this episode. all 3 stories terrify me because these people come off as incredulously charming, although that is apart of their psychopathy.
It’s crazy that I’ve watched hundreds of hours of true crime stories and yet, my mind is still always shocked what some people are capable of and can’t comprehend why someone would do this.
I remember the first story but never knew all the details. You always give a caring in-depth look into these cases that the news stations/stories don't. Thank you
I’m subscribed to a lot of true crime channels… a LOT! But this voice, is THE voice, for this type of story telling. Not only is the voice perfect, but the content and how it’s laid out is perfect. GREAT JOB!!!! RIP to the victims of these horrible crimes….. thank you for telling their stories.
Crazy!! How did she not ever go to his home & see the wife? I understand a lot of the other stuff can slip by but being with someone for 7 years & not going to his house? Even if she did & his wife was out then surely she would notice all the women's belongings? He must've spent some nights with her & other nights with his wife. I guess he panicked not knowing how he would go through with the wedding when he's already married! His lies got him into deeper & deeper trouble. Poor woman was sooo excited in the pic in her wedding dress. Just shows that if you have the slightest inkling or gut feeling, listen to it always!!! Great episode btw & Russell Archie from Ravon Media is by far the best narrator on UA-cam!!!
Seems far easier to break it off with her once she brought up the idea of marriage than to propose and commit murder to get out of it. Maybe that's just me.
You guys never cease to amaze me with your thorough research and doing an incredible job! sitting awake with my one year old at 3 AM and SO thankful for this new upload! ❤️
its incredible with how much information you provide with each and every new video. I cant thank you enough for the amount of effort you put into each video, I love listening to these stories as I'm working early in the mornings.
Lidia is so strong. She held on, made it though, provided key evidence, and said you didn’t break me knowing it’s part of what he would’ve wanted. I hope she’s well today.
Another brilliant presentation by THE _Master Storyteller_ *Raven.* Thanks EWU Crew for the telling of another couple of sad but true twisted horror stories. You're the best!
I love that you mentioned the chill people get when coming in contact with someone who may wish you harm thats an important thing to note !! I don't think I have heard any other true crime videos mention this 🤔
i LIVE for these videos! they always make my day. you’re so educated and know so much! i learn a lot from you, my favorite narrator!! keep up the amazing work ❤️
This is my new favorite channel. The narrator does such an amazing job telling these stories! Some people can’t keep my attention when stories have this many layers (ADD brain lol) . But they have a way of making me hang on every word! Great job EWU Crew ❤️
Tony's sixth sense was spot on. Sometimes you really just have to trust your gut. If someone gives you that feeling of dread in the pit of your gut, or the center of your heart, listen to that shit.
it scares me knowing there are men out there like this . As a man , I fear for our women and girls .. the fact that some men want to harm woman over protect them is fucking ridiculous to me . protect yourselves as much as you can . Guns , pepper spray , knives anything!! ..
I love the way you described what it’s like to meet/feel a psychopath… That your hair stand on end and so on… This is very creative… Thank you I like your style
In the third case, I have a feeling that James has contemplated killing his wife, hence the fake funeral, but at the end it was Molly who paid with her life. Weird how people would go to such great lengths to avoid small consequences, I hope he's enjoying his life sentence in prison.
I really like it when Ewu leaves an advise or more like precautionat meaures.. these are the things parents should teach or share to their kids to be aware of the people they mingle with.. or like a reminder to every body that you should always look at your shoulders and not to trust that easy. Never to ignore red flags and folow your instinct to save your life..👏👍 Thank you EWU crew, you are a partner for life!
I was so blown away with Travis Forbes case. I know these monsters can be anywhere, it's just so strange for it to be so close to where I lived most of my life. One thing that chills me the most is how he cries that he has something evil inside and can't control it.
I’ve only recently begun to seek out true crime-type videos, and I must say, EWU has the most well done of the lot. The style, format, information, narration, etc is first class. 🏆👍🏽
The one thing that fucks me up the most about this case is, the dude would have never gotten caught if he didn't send her that text tbh it's kinda crazy
I really appreciate that you explain more in depth the science about these horrible people and victim’s actions as well. It may sound weird but I watch true crime documentaries to reassure myself that the trauma I went through in a bad relationship was justifiable and pressing charges was the right thing to do.
It's also crazy for me to hear about this, because I'm diagnosed BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). We also have notable differences in the portion of our brain in charge of rationality and impulse control. The major difference is, people with BPD feel very strong emotions, including love and empathy, so a BPD murderer is actually pretty uncommon. Usually crimes of passion due to chaotic personal relationships and poor impulse control. It's just so interesting to me. I could never imagine hurting someone, despite my brain sharing some of the same abnormalities as those with APD/psychopathy.
I know BPD is not usually associated with murders, most disorders arnt. I am curious if comments or misinformation in general on BPD bothers you? Seems its something a lot of people assume they understand and really dont. Especially the assumptions all violent crimes require some exotic or severe disorder. I think people get uncomfortable about what "normal" brains are capable of.
I have been diagnosed with bpd, and I have faced violence from all my partners, was groomed and forcibly confined and left for dead with fractures by him, and i was found unable to move covered in bruises and he tried to flee. Not to mention almost died many times from some of the violence I went through. Growing up violence was normalized and taught to be expected when you are disrespected or hurt by someone emotionally or physically. It made me have outbursts of violence while angry, because after all the torture a switch went off where it shut off my ability to feel fear and i went from avoiding violence and just crying and taking pain. But its been hard to get out of that trauma response of being violent when triggered. so I think it develops differently and depends on your environment and trauma.
That stepfather is a good man. If only the police would take things seriously. Telling the family of a missing person to wait 72 hours is ridiculous and so wrong.
Charles Albright’s Parents: He likes killing small animals? Let’s enroll him in a class where he can learn how to remove their insides and stuff them! What could go wrong?
I mean, if your kid has a creepy habit and you don’t know what it can indicate I can see a parent trying to make it into a career or hobby thing for them. I liked tying things as a kid, like tying my sis to stuff and tying up stuffed animals. My parents just got me a bracelet kit and I never did anything weird with tying again 🤷🏻♀️
As always thank you for the content and bringing a spotlight to this tragedy. Hopefully others will gain knowledge after watching and it may save someones life. Her family must be just lost without her. Wishing I had words to comfort them, but there are none that relieve the pain of losing a child.
You never, never, ever leave a friend behind!!!! You always stay together and never let the really drunk girl wander off. What kind of friends are they??!?
My Father, had a bit too much green stuff, in Texas and spent almost 10 years, in the Amarillo Federal Prison, in the mid-late 90's! After His release, My Pop, had told Me that a fella named, Charlie Albright, was his cellmate, for many years! This is so crazy! I never knew about it, until now! 😢
The number of times I’ve gone out in downtown Denver and felt completely comfortable walking alone or leaving with new people is actually horrifying after watching this. All it takes is one bad person. This is why it’s important to share these stories. I’ve been naive 😕
Be careful and aware but don't let these cases turn you into a scared mouse afraid of its own shadow. These crimes are relatively rare. Just be safe and always make sure you look after friends on nights out. Unlike Kenyas friends.
The woman travis tried to kill is an example of true strength and will I hope she is able to recover and live a some what "normal " rest of her life and be an inspiration to others 💙

Travis may possibly regret what he is. But I am skeptical he regretted any of these crimes he committed. Any tears he shed were just acting and manipulation.

Exactly 💯 that's what a real Father does, one that loves u unconditionally. And most times it's not even the biological dad that steps up.
I can believe it. Cops only care about violating rights
Is it though? How many times have we shown that police are not reliable? Too many to count.

And more specifically, stuff like this makes me think back to a video from Nick Crowely (The Moments Before a Murder, specifically), where a child around the age of five or less was separated from their mom in a busy mall, when she turned her head for just a moment
(Putting the next part in the "read more" section for semi-graphic details)
The people who took the kid, two ten year olds, beat the younger one and dragged them across the mall floor by one of their legs, passing several people on their way out as the child screamed and cried for help...no one listened, and later, they were tortured and killed by the older kids near a train track, for the sole purpose of having the body swept away before it could be discovered...they didn't get away with it, but it doesn't stop what they already did from happening
For that reason, stuff like this has *always* disturbed me just as much as the killings themselves, because as cold and malicious as the killer might be...I just can't imagine being one of the people letting them do it

@@SekaFaji it was 2011.
I was about to say this 🤣
They were brown, so the cops didn't care.
@@SekaFaji I love that people just come onto the internet to make shit up. Love it.
Nobody should have to wait 72 hours to report a loved one missing. Shame on the police department.

Yeah I couldn’t stop shaking my head at this
Get ready for much more of the same thanks to “criminal justice reform” and what they call “restorative justice”.

@@MeeMee-gz5vp it also applies to adults that you are reasonably concerned for their whereabouts and safety
She usually goes to the park for a few hours, but now she won't pick up her phone."
The real problem is that even people with this type of "history" are prone to the same problems as people without.
Young people don't think this way.. THEY SHOULD!!! parents should tell the kids to do it..

Tony is a true Dad. I like how he took care of business. I know he wanted to put that monster down. Glad they caught him. Veronica almost gets killed then goes back to hooking the next day. crazy!
