I had to google, “what the hell is gumbo?” 😅 It looks like soup with a lot of seafood and sausage. I know I haven’t tried it yet but I agree with what Precious and Kevin said, it looks too much.
It depends on what you cook in it. There shouldn't be a whole lot going on. Mine normally has chicken, sausage and depending on the people eating it.. maybe shrimp and crab.
I don't put gizzards or oysters in it etc
I mostly use chicken and sausage what precious described was a crawfish boil. She's from Texas, so they don't do gumbo much, it's mostly Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Tennessee that does gumbo correctly.

That really depends on what city you live in like lousiana gumbo is simple easy to make while go somewhere like California its too much.
