There are different flavors of coffee. A lot of coffee here in the US is trash, but BABY when I had the Blue Mountain coffee in Jamaica, I tell you that coffee is SO good. But it costs too much when you buy it to bring it back. 😕

You may prefer tea over coffee. They are both delivery systems for caffeine. Different varieties of both deliver caffeine fast or slow... Caffeine itself blocks the chemical receptors in the brain for adenosine, which is one of the chemicals that signals your body to sleep. Too much too fast and you can get palpitations. Some tea, green and black still have caffeine but deliver it in a way your body won't wanna jump out itself... When I want a instant wake up I'll go coke or coffee. If I wanna calm down I'll go green matcha latte or Indian chai milk tea. Also if you drink coffee every day, your body gets used to it so you have to drink more to get the same results so maybe change up your drinks. Normal coffee has 100mg of caffeine. Decaf still has under 10mg. Mushroom coffee has 50mg. Tea something like 30mg same as Coke.

Coffee has so many complexities. Some coffee IS trash, but there are good and flavorful coffees. (That's not the same as "flavored" coffee.) Peet's Cafe Domingo is delicious and I like coffees by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but that's my taste buds. Everybody's different. It doesn't keep me awake, give me energy or make me go to the bathroom. But i cut it off and listen cldnt feel better, no more headaches, my stomach feelin better. Eat fruits or hey if ya need to drink soda or a glass of wine. For energy trust me a fruit smoothie (strawbwrry, blackberry, orange juice) will energize you for the whole day.

☝🏾First of all, coffee is high in antioxidants, so it DOES have nutritional value.
☝🏾Secondly, it is the CAFFEINE that is the addictive drug, not coffee itself, meaning that you can also get the same addiction and withdrawal symptoms from drinking tea regularly.
☝🏾Thirdly, coffee is more of an acquired taste. It tastes differently depending on where the beans are geographically harvested and how they are roasted (kind of similar to wine). Not everyone is attuned to these differences in taste.
☝🏾Also, coffee is an aphrodisiac... while that probably doesn't mean much to most, I personally find this to be a plus 😉.

I'm a night nurse. I can't get through my shift without drinking coffee. 3 cups will get me through a whole night. it's an absolute necessity!
