Destroyed in pvp with the centrifuge by SMGs, I have been taking that to heart. I see the gun constantly in Iron Banner this week. I have been using Risk Runner to play "how long before they swap guns".
Unpopular opinion, rangefinder should not exist. It takes away from every single perk, "oh this has eye of the storm and opening shot! This is great for dueling, oh wait theres rangefinder" and alao quickdraw was the same situation.
I agree I don’t think zoom should have any impact on effective range personally

Yeah, it is kinda the same problem as movement exotics: if it consistent and work all of the time, why would you use anything else?

Idk if you saw the interview with Merc but theyre decoupling zoom stat from damage falloff. So rangefinder wont make or break weapons anymore, itll just make them more reliable in their intended range.
The reprised Spare Rations unfortunately shipped with its original base stats for when it was still coded as a 150 rpm (Lightweight frame). I’m sure Bungie will fix this like they did for the other 150 to 140 rpm converted Hand Cannons, hopefully soon.

They haven't fixed any of the other old 150s so I'm not holding my breathe

Kinda off topic but since you mentioned revoker, I just wanna say that I always found that gun funny in the sense that you had to be great at sniping to complete that quest so they only gave you a super forgiving sniper rifle once you've proven that you're a sniping god and you don't need that help lmao
I see your point. But if you watch real sniping gods, like sayariu, he misses like half his shots, but that's because he takes every opportunity. You miss every shot you don't take, and revoker just takes away the punishment for taking crazy shots
It’s weird, but ditch snapshot on the supremacy for keep away. Rapid fires can use the extra range and it turns it into a crit magnet
I honestly thought they would make Spare Rations a lightweight 140 like Rose, but I guess that flew over Bungie’s head
not mentioning techeun force is insane, that thing is nuts in pvp and pve
Age Old Bond has absolutely shocked me with how good it feels this season, I got one with Repulsor Brace and Destabilising Rounds and hoo boy, it is so much fun on Void Hunter, 10/10 highly recommend
Something you should know about enhanced kinetic tremors is that it lowers the shot requirement. Pulses go down from 12 rounds to 9. I dunno what the reduction is for scouts, but it's at least as good as Hung Jury.
Chevron sights started making more sense to me when I started thinking of lining them up with the shoulder/neck line. Red dots are still way better
I personally like to think of chevrons as trying to give my opponent a little mustache
make the enemy where the chevron like a little top hat of death and you’re golden!
my first and only spare rations was rapid hit kill clip with hi- cal and extended barrel with stability master. bungie said they are tuning range so hopefully the 150s that we're converted way back when get to be on par with the real 140s
Randy’s with discord and cascade point is actually great. Run that with something close range in the energy slot.
Outlast is one of my old favorite 540s. I agree it really won’t be meta defining compared to other options now, but I still regularly pull out my old sunset kill clip roll.
I got corkscrew, high-cal, snapshot, opening shot with a stability masterwork and a stock that increased stability. It feels great.
I was so excited to get spare rations my roll is kill clip, slideshot acc and full bore but my smile dropped when I started hitting for 50 crits not too far away :(
On Mercurial Overreach, my first roll landed with snapshot, mulligan and handling masterwork and it feels better than revoker
don't forget to mention bug out bag! super easy farmable incandescant smg for everyone who doesn't have calus mini tool or the new dungeon!
I’d be curious to hear your take on the upcoming range standardization Bungie has mentioned. At least the way I understand it now, it feels like it will only serve to narrow the meta within a weapon class. Some weapons like 120 hand cannons and lower rpm autos really need the extra range to stand apart from the rest of their weapon class, or to make up for a slower ttk.
I’m in the wait and see camp, but I hope it doesn’t reduce the viability of various archetypes any more than the current state
I'm stickin' to Beloved in PvP for the most part, but Sole Survivor feels really good, and sounds awesome 👌

Outlast was one of my personal favorites that was sunset, right now my 5/5 I'm trying to get is arrowhead/high-cal/keep away/kill clip/range mw
for transfiguration, i really think you should go for rampage and adrenaline junkie over kill clip, because they both activate immediately on a kill and are refreshable without reloads
adren is only 5% on 1 kill so its basically useless... just run a reloader lol

Heating up/golden Tricon on different times felt amazing for me in iron banner.
I was blessed week 1 for the comp sniper. Hammer forged, ricochet, snapshot, opening shot, handling masterwork. I’ll still get my 3 rolls per week though.
I’m really glad that bungie changed the reticle in mercurial overreach. I got an incredibly good roll second try with snapshot opening.
Strand 140 snipe gets 100 aa with os and has great reticle aswell, should give it a try, I've landed so many shots I shouldn't have in pvp with it being a non sniper player

Mercurial overreach I got a snap shot and opening shot roll in the first week of the season launching but I hate the scope the dot is way to small but overall it feels great.
6:25 the reticle of the sniper i am using is bugee than that, actually is like other sniper 🤔

Idk why but the world drop Positive Outlook with cascade and perpetual motion feels so good

I got a 5/5 god roll of mercurial overreach. Hammer forged, high cal rounds, snapshot, opening shot, and a range masterwork. Got it on my second character. I do agree the reticle needs to be adjusted.

Sole reticle you have is from the ornament, take it off and it's new arc one but better
I actually do quite well with the centrifuse in pvp and it really good for my warlock arc build
Does anyone know what app or website that is to see the weapons and possible perks im trying to get better at farming and wondering what weapons are good
Centrifuse feels incredible in PvP, for Trials and 6v6. I have about 800 kills with it and I can say it feels better than its stats show.
what loadout and exotic do you run with it?
I haven’t seen a single content creator say good things about it in pvp and at this point I’m convinced they have it one match, said “not meta hand cannon so it bad 🖍️ “

It does have 64 range with Keep away, its not Bad at all, feels very good imo

what if they just adjust collective action so that it takes more than one stasis shard to equal one of the pickups that are harder to generate as often?

I'd say that spare rations has one use. Build it fully into range and then throw swashbuckler on it. Give said hand cannon to a arthrys's hunter. Maybe it'll good.
I feel like I'm the only person who actually likes the tiny reticle on the comp sniper, finally feel like I can see and and hit what I'm aiming at (tho I did get a Snapshot Opening Shot roll so maybe that has something to do with it lmao)
I know this is mostly a pvp vid but until it's return comes with overflow cascade point, this makes it a mini 4th horseman

Ok but centrifuge shreds in pvp it has incredible range for an auto rifle and can easily duel with some pulse rifles

Perks-wise it’s moving target / quickdraw vs opening shot.
Star-wise, if you apply quickdraw on beloved then you can invest in stability..

It feels like epochal is an 180 HC which I always like in PVE but it's feels CHUNKY in pvp lol I don't know how else to put it

It was really frustrating to grind through 10 matches of comp to get a great roll of surplus and no distractions, only to be more focus on where my reticle is rather than actually aiming at an enemy

Is the sniper scope a bug?
People who complain about the reticle on mercurial clearly never used the longbow synthesis in D1 got a god roll of it and it feels so smooth like the longbow.
Also spare rations is incredible. Slide shot opening shot range masterwork feels great.

Makes me want to do the raid, but since I can only ad clear it is hard to find a group. I would love to learn to be a runner, but LFG is too impatient for those of us wanting to learn.
absolutely not true, you are probably only joining KWTD posts or 10+ clear posts. join a teaching run and volunteer for running, only knowing ad clear is absolutely your fault at this point after the raids release. you may also have to accept that you won’t get the completion or loot on the run where you’re learning what to do. but it’s not the LFG’s fault or the game’s fault that you can only ad clear - that’s on you.

I think with how Spare Rations and Epochal Integration dropped both with the same major downside (low range), we're starting to see the beginning of that range standardization Bungie was talking about. They're likely starting by releasing guns with a lower range stat, and later down the line they bring the other hand cannons down to that bar they set. My guess is they're gonna bring the 140's down to the range 150's had back when they existed
If you are right then hand cannons will die. 140’s, while still being great weapons, have begun to struggle some because of the increased competition with pulses, and having one of the slowest ttk’s and harsh precision requirements isn’t helping them.
@@perhapsawhitemale8144 That has been the nature of hand cannons quite literally throughout the entire game’s lifespan. Precision based weapon that rewards a skilled hand.
@@digiorno1142 You’re not wrong, but the second half of that simply isn’t true anymore. A 0.87 ttk is quite slow given the range and precision constraints. A high impact pulse has more range and a much faster ttk for the same precision requirement.
@@perhapsawhitemale8144 Wrong. First of all a 0.87 ttk is not necessarily bad or slow. Second, they are completely different weapons. Using a hand cannon is completely different than using a pulse rifle simply due to the nature of the gun. You need to factor in flinch, stability, aim assist, zoom, handling. All of these stats and effects affect these weapons differently. Saying that a weapon is objectively bad simply because it has a slightly slower ttk than a different weapon type is both ignorant and shows you have very little knowledge of pvp. By that stupid logic is graviton lance now one of the worst weapons in the game? What about rose? What about jade rabbit?

There isn’t really anything bad with centrifuse in pvp, just that a couple other weapons are slightly faster ttk’s.

you mean equip a Legendary Heavy that is just a tad bit under the exotic bar, and get a massive bonus to heavy ammo finder drops?
The Combined Action hand cannon is also the first 120 with adagio and it kinda annihilates in PVE
Yeah I haven’t had that perk drop yet but it seems really good on it
Adagio is a 2 tap in PvP as well. Banshee sold a great roll last week and it slaps

They shouldn’t change the sight on the comp sniper only because you need something to offset the good stats and perks. IMO
That mousepad is fire btw. I’ve spent many hundreds looking for the best pad. My search stopped after the Ember Edge. Can’t recommend enough. Save your money, buy that mouse pad and never look back.

Same as console but MKB doesn’t get the same reticle friction that controller does

@@prestonsavaya4675 both inputs get more generous hitboxes based on the aim assistance stat on a weapon (and armor mods/effects), but only controllers get that slow down effect when your reticle crosses over a target to feel "sticky"
@@PattycakesGaming so is the best mod for snipers targeting adjusters for pc? Literally in an argument with my squad rn telling them that pc has aim assist and they’re all denying it. Can’t wait to tell them pattycakes came thru with the answer to end it all
They took away high cal and Rico rounds from chattering bone, it won’t feel the same as my old one
