2:32 Maillard reaction... Couldn't help myself even 6 months late 😂
Im obsessed with this channel I have made 8 things so far and added the videos to my favorites. I cant wait to try this! My girlfriend is getting tired of me talking about the Stay at Home Chef but she never complains about the meals. Thank You!
Haha happy you found some new go to recipes (:
I just tried this " Pork Tenderloin Marinade" last night. and it was one of the best things I've ever cooked... I did however change a couple of ingredients. Instead of lemon I used tangerine, and instead of White Wine Vinegar I used Rice Vinegar. TOP Shelf Quality!!!
I've made this twice now using all natural pork tenderloin and it's absolutely delicious!
Out-freakin-standing! I followed the instructions, but I finished it on my grill at 400 degrees F and it was succulent through the meat. I will always use this approach
Amazing recipe! Ty so much. My family loved it and I paired it with a cranberry-apple sauce.
Omg you are the cutest! Thank you for this recipe, my tenderloin turned out perfectly, I adapted the marinade for more of an Asian flavor. & the process is the Maillard reaction! --but you already knew that :)
After slicing I seared the steaks in the skillet with the marinade, this is an amazing recipe! ❤
Great tips...thanks so much!
I'm a believer in marinating my tenderloin. Excellent video!
I made this tonight and it was delicious!!!!!! Thank you 🙏
I made this for dinner this evening and it was so delicious. Very moist and tender. I paired it with some sweet and sour red cabbage and a fresh tossed salad with other veggies. This is a definite keeper!
yum!
First time cooking this. It was so good and flavorful. I didn't have the wine vinegar, replaced it with Italian dressing. And I didn't measure. Thank you for a good recipe.
Tried it. Taste fantastic. Everyone loves it.
Idid try the recipe it’s sooo delicious and juicy..with garlic mashed potatoes 🥔.and asparagus complete dinner..thanks for sharing...

Just what I was looking for.
I made this tenderloin for a family dinner. My husband, son-in-laws and daughters all raved about this recipe. This is definitely a keeper.
Wonderful!

This is a good marinade for pork chops, too. 😀

Made it and it was delicious. I’m eating it as I’m writing this
Hi!
I was going to make this tonight. I don't have ground mustard on hand can I substitute another mustard product? Also where do I go to "jump to recipe", on your channel? Can't wait to try it!!
This was really, really good. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Looks delicious thanks sharing
Thanks for watching (:
I’ve made this several times now and it’s so easy and soooo delicious! I had never made pork tenderloin before and this was an amazing recipe to introduce it to my family!
oppoooioooooooooooooooooooppppppppppioooooooooooooopppppdpoooooppoppoooooooopddopooo
Wow those are the Juiciest Pork Tenderloin
I will highly recommend subbing honey instead of brown sugar as honey is a natural tenderizer for meats and will mesh well with the other wet ingredients in the marinade
I believe the process is called deliciousizing
Just wondering in your detailed recipe no where does in specify worcestershire sauce but I didn't see you using it. But it is there in your steps.
Made this tonight and holy Jesus was it tender and delicious! Luckily I have leftovers so that’s coming to work with me tomorrow 🤤
I just went hunting and want to try this on some wild pork game I just caught. Can't wait.
OMG! Looks perfectly cook! So juicy! 😱😍😍
Thank you 😋
This Pork Tenderloin Marinade produces the most juicy and flavorful pork.
I see what you did there...
I love pork it's delicious
So good
The process is called Caramelizing.
mallard duck reaction is the browning she spoke of ;)
If I doubled this recipe, would it cook for the same amount of time?
Link to recipe says it cannot be found.
💖👼🏻🌺
I also cooked pork tenderloin with soy sauce!
I just made this and it came out absolutely amazing! My wife took one bite and tore up the divorce papers! Thank you!
Planning on making this today I have it seasoned since yesterday I'm just gonna say it smells really bad mixed 😅 🙃 wish me luck
Can I omit the sugar/honey? If so, what other spice do you recommend as a replacement?
You can use balsamic vinegar instead of white then you dont need any sugar
Maillard reaction = caramelization
Caramelization is an entirely different process from Maillard browning, though the results of the two processes are sometimes similar to the naked eye (and taste buds). Caramelization may sometimes cause browning in the same foods in which the Maillard reaction occurs, but the two processes are distinct. They are both promoted by heating, but the Maillard reaction involves amino acids, whereas caramelization is the pyrolysis of certain sugars.
Can you add rum?
Just came across your channel and I love it. BTW...you're cute as a button.
Love this recipe. What's the difference between searing and braising?
Searing is searing and braising is braising
searing is in a hot dry skillet and braising is in a covered cooking vessel with liquid at least partially covering the meat.@@TaigaShaman
1/4 cup of olive oil? It looked like more than that in the video. But I’m also bad at gauging visually. Can you verify 1/4 cup?
Process is caramelization of protein/maillard reaction.
Can you use distilled vinegar or balsamic instead
I Google this question yes you can use distilled white vinegar
caramelize
I would recommend balsamic vinegar over white vinegar
How about Apple cider vinegar instead?
maillard reaction causes browning
Extremadamente DELICIOSO. The best I've ever tasted. 🙏 ❤
that sear is a maillard reaction. it keeps the juices in.
I dont have ground mustard..i cant add dijon mustard? Sorry i am not a pro chef i just cook using intuition.
Yes, absolutely. Dijon can be substituted almost everytime, its the best
So, is it Soy or Worcestershire
The link to the printable recipe is not working. 💜
Fixed it!
Thank you. 💜
@@Thestayathomechef , it's still giving me the "page not found" error. :(
Darn! I was hoping that was worchestershire sauce.
At one tablespoon, I don’t see why you couldn’t substitute the soy with Worcestershire sauce. I’ve used marinades that call for one or the other. Both are very good!
I use balsamic vinegar not white...then you don't need sugar
A little heavy on the garlic, but very tasty
I can't use a heavy skillet that goes from top burner to oven. Can I use a non-stick, lightweight skillet then transfer the pork to a glass cooking dish?
Yup! That will work great.
This looks quite promising, going to marinade tonight.
FYI the image of you squeezing the meat with your fingers was, to say the least, not pleasing. Maybe find some other way of demonstrating juiciness?
Hi caytlin! I miss you Rachael
want happen to her ?
What if I don’t have a skillet
The finger guns are really out and about lol
Caytlin I love your recipes and videos, but I'm really worried about Rachel because we haven't seen her for so long. Sure wish we could have an update. 💔
I miss Rachael! Caytlin is great though...
Yes, I would like to know how is Rachel, she is so fun and loved always seeing her, BUT you are also those wonderful things, so we have win-win!! 🎉💃💖
Mallard reaction
Ingredients list says soy sauce. Directions say Worcester sauce. Which would be correct please?
Soy sauce (:
@@Thestayathomechef made it tonight with soy sauce delish and easy. Thank you!
Is there a new host on this channel?
Maillard reaction
I've subbed for a while yet had to look up item and then this channel came up.....what's up with that youtube???
Ingredients list says soy sauce, instructions cite Worcester sauce? 😳
It's called COOKING. am I right?
145⁰ .....hm....I guess 160 doesn't matter anymore
It hasn’t mattered for decades!
for sure the one you cut at the beginning was not cooked to the temperatures and time you mentioned
Why do you say that?
I don't have what wine vin so I substituted apple cider vin. Shud be Ok, rite?
How did the recipe taste with Apple cider Vinegar instead of white vinegar? That's what I was going to use.
@@suzannegaudette2687 Hello, the meat came out fine. Everyone enjoyed the flavor.
The answer to your question at 2:30 is "Myard reaction"
It’s called the Maillard reaction, but you were close!
@@Thestayathomechef lol right darn my spelling!
Lol this is a google-able steak marinade found online
Yes, our content also shows up in search results. Glad you could find it!
Mailliard reaction.
Braise
I've learn that pork has to be really cook. I can see that the pork loin is a little pink. Can you explain
unless you live in a 3rd world country, pork does not need to be well done. Cooking pork to around 140 degrees is perfect.
That’s a lot of garlic lol
searing
Glycation
This isn’t the stay at home chef I know. 🤬
True. The original stay at home chef is presently focusing on trying to recover from a chronic illness that she shared acrew years ago that she suffers with. She recently made a video that she wz taking a sabbatical and this chef worked with her producing the show and would be continuing the show in her absence. She left the impression she did intend to return to her show
@@leannwooten9054 Thank you. I’m really sorry. I just like her so much. I watch all of her videos I thought. Missed that one. Appreciate you letting me know. 🙏🏻s for her. Hope she will be alright.
@@deee5520 No No…. I totally get it; i miss her too!! Not putting this person down cz is good in her own right but just luv me some original stay-at-home…. So I totally feel ur heart beat on this
@@leannwooten9054 Yup. And I’m sure this lady is good and I would never put her down. It’s just that I almost felt like the SAH Chef was like a daughter. I do hope she will be ok. ❤️
I have been told all my life to Never use the marinade sauce that you have soaked your meat in for anything else, not to pour over , or bast your meat. Throw it out........
As long as you cook it like the marinade that's soaked into your meat it's the same. Pour on and continue cooking.
searing lol
The Food Network won't be calling anytime soon.
I know. I had to ask them to stop calling me.
ok first of all ur not psychic
Devious, I'm uncomfortable by this recipe
This did not make 145° in 15 min. No way not even close. 30 plus
Are you sure you used a pork tenderloin and not a pork loin?
@@Thestayathomechef pork loin filet...wow what a difference...came out great thanks..thanks for the knowledge.
A pork loin is an entirely different cut of pork that does have quite a bit of a longer cook time, but I’m glad it worked out for you.
