Do trans women have female genitals? Are they XX or XY? I think we all know they aren't women. It doesn't mean they aren't allowed to live their lives, but to deny reality is quite frankly ridiculous. It doesn't take a religious lens to see it makes no sense to call this person a woman.

Those who were born with two sets of genitals are incredibly rare in the grand scheme of humans, and even among them in almost every case they are predominately one sex over the other.
You are right. Women have menstrual cycles. Women have the ability to bear children. Women have breasts. Women possess many wonderful differences from men and such has been the case for the entirety of human history.

I love the way she stood up for herself. Us women can learn a lot from our trans Sistah’s. Because I know so many cis women who would have set through the abuse and dealt with it.
Who here knows that while in utero … at the very beginning of embryonic status… all genders look exactly the same?
Who knows next, that according to the genetic code delivered, that determines whether the embryo begins to develop internal (female) or external (male) sex organs?
Who is also aware, that there are human beings born with both internal (female) and external (male) sex organs?
After all that knowing… why is it such a stretch to believe that IF, someone can be born with visible male and female sexual organs simultaneously, that another can also be born with internal gender mis-identity?
There have been countless stories of people being born with ambiguous genitalia and the parents deciding at birth which gender the child will be and after the child grew up it was discovered that the parents chose the wrong gender to assign to them. The human did NOT identify internally with the sexual organs they presented. How is this anyone’s fault or doing in terms of this possibility existing? The infant certainly did not make this ambiguous genitalia come about consciously nor did the mother or father. It just happens. And then there is a dilemma. And choices to be made. How is it impossible for some of you out there to imagine that could also happen internally with hormones etc?? Aren’t we all a series of chemical compounds and reactions? How can anyone be so sure that a transgender person does not truly feel the way that they do? Can’t you just be happy that you were not born with such a dilemma and not make their lives harder than necessary with your harsh condemnations? Just my two cents. Take it or leave it but I pray just be kind at the very least.
@Rain its definitely not insane. Our gender is literally a thing because of our consciousness. I am a woman not because i have breast and a vagina but because in my every day life that's how I feel. I feel feminine, beautiful and take pride in being a woman. I cant even have children. If my body magically turned into a male body the next day I would still be a woman. Because that is who I am inside. We are consciousness walking around in a flesh suit, controlling it. My flesh does not dictate who I am and it never will. If we base are gender on our body alone then you would have to say intersex people are both woman and man. Where do they fit in society??? Don't they have a say? There are also people born with androgynous bodies, women with perfectly flat chest, big clitoris. Men with petite frames and micro penises, women who have no vagina at all or can't have children. Bodies are not cut and dry enough to be the base of gender identity. Its just not black and white.

This was such a powerful scene. Blanca was unapologetically herself and stood up for herself in the face of injustice. And to add the cherry on top, the person she loved, did not just stand by and not say anything. He opened his mouth, peotected his woman like a man should. Even when the face of injustice was that of his own mother. She didnt need him to, but he did it anyways. That right there speaks VOLUMES.

The mother had every right to be concern and ask the questions to get better understanding of the situation. The son could have handled it in a better manner. I kinda actually understand the point of view of the mother. I mean at the time it was quite unusual for a son to bring home a transsexual girlfriend, she actually had genuine questions, she wasn’t trying to discriminate her. For a woman of her time she was actually quite mild towards Blanca
She could ask questions nicely but she was definitely discriminating and picking at Blanca in as many ways as she could. As a parent if your children are happy with their partner (as long as that partner is of age and there is not abuse or harming each other) I really see no reason for issues. The mother is a bigot full stop.

Thankfully science has come a long way, for them surrogacy is a great option, and for other lgbt couples other options include artificial insemination, and ivf. Trans women can also breast feed if they want to. And within the next decade ivg will allow any couple (no matter biological sex) to have a baby together, and uterus transplants with the help of ivf will allow trans women to have periods, get pregnant, and carry a baby for 8 and a half months. But even if all these options didn't exist adoption is still a very noble option.

Trans people literally have to see therapists before they are even allowed to medically transition. They have to see three types of doctors who thoroughly examine them physically and mentally before determining their claims are legit and allowing them to proceed in their transition.

Blanca had to deal with so much shit her entire life, especially after her transition. And her boyfriend’s mom continued to disrespect her, talk down to her, and belittle her. Blanca stood up not only for her pride, but for identity. She was in the right.

LGBTQAI+ people count as neighbours. oh also the only reason they didn’t correct the mistranslation from the bible was because of priests who groomed and manipulated children into a sexual relationship.
