Not at all. He's perfectly right putting on SS. The Taycan Turbo GT rides on Pirelli Trofeo RS tires, a DOT approved dedicated R compound track tire. That's exactly what an SS tire is, the most extreme sports car tire still able to be used on the street. Sport hards represent a "basic" M+S sports all season rated for all weather like a Continental DWS 06, and mediums represent mid range season capable tires like the Michelin PS4S which would be a more extreme all season not suitable for heavy rain, mud or snow. R compounds are exactly what the SS tire represents, and is what the GT uses.

Good vid, good driving, but should've been done on Sports Hard tires.
I think Sports medium may have been most accurate in the end since the real thing was running on an aggressive street tire
