It’s wild to think that jerry LOVED playing acoustic, and bobby really didn’t but still obliged.
Mind. Blown. That this is a thing, and that there was footage saved. Righteous.
Cannot understate the importance of voodoonolas work documenting all of these incredible performances. Many many many thanks, forever grateful! (~);}
say word.
I am eternally Grateful!! 😎🤘👍👏👏👏
Absolutely priceless. Grateful❤️✨🌎✌️
thanks
I was there :) Great show on the day off from the regular tour. 4 days later they returned for a full band concert.
This simple format highlights Bob's rhythm genius - and also how these two are tuned to each other...on so many levels!
jerry gets a well deserved applause for his leads while bob is killing it with inversions and timing...give him respect..!!
No

Monkey and the Engineer was the very first GD song I ever heard back in 1980...my best friend; Sars, played it for me and I fell in love...instantly!❤ I was 12 years old!! And that began a long, wonderful,, beautiful, fun, joyous life of going to shows and meeting some of the best people in the world! There's NOTHING like a Dead show....so, SO TRUE!! Peace & Love to all...Hope to see you all for their final tour next summer.😁✌
I love it how it's NEVER loud enough for Jerry..... A little more volume, turn it up he pleads at almost every show.
"In this universe, LOUDER is better!" -Jerry Garcia((❤))
Louder is more gooder
I once play a gig without monitors. It was rough!
I was there with my girlfriend. Wonderfull evening. So many beautifull memories. The eighties. Wonderfull time in good old Adam.
Such an amazing performance of jack a roe 😍😍😍
agree w/ below: voodoonola's work documenting a one-off performance of this historical import SO appreciated. thx man
I wonder if people realize what an amazing athletic event it is for two people to keep guitars ringing that well for that sustained period of time ? Who cares, right ? They did it so well... .
What A nice Gratefully showe!!! Just!! Bob and Jerry!!!! Hell yes🐢🐢🐢🌹🌹🌹🌵🌵🌵
I was at this show :) A very fun night full of surprise as I went to Amsterdam on the day between Bremen and Munich. The Deadheads were very jealous when I told them I got to see an extra show on the day off :)
Awesome, what a treat. To see Bob and Jerry in a club setting, wow. Even though I would have been only 13 at the time, you can count me jealous, too.
@@danswang It was one of my highlights of my grateful dead career. The two other shows a few days later adds to that.
Bob Weir is a goddamn wizard.
Especially when he is zooted out of his mind, and working so freaking hard with an electric only for the audience to hear like a chord and 5 strange notes
Jerry's crisp and in the zone.......so fine!!
Classic, masterpiece! Thanks for sharing, a piece of bliss when Jerry and Bob in fine form. It shows how the songs stand on their own and how their stripped down versions and rocked out versions differ- yet they both work. This is what the Dead are all about.
JackaRoe is such a mysterious/mystical tune.
Thanks for the post Voo. It’s so awesome seeing this. It lives forever.
Amazing. Love jerry garcia playing acoustic
is rhis the "oops"concert? We to supplied the band wirh our Dutch Sinsemilla grown based on "Old ED Holloway" strains from Oregon USA. We were also allowed in the dresing room to share our product which we did. Anymore footage available of that particular event?
Short and sweet! Thank you for sharing!
Ol Jerry always knew exactly how to bend them strings... Thanks for putting this up for all to enjoy!!!
Or slide on them strings a bit more during an acoustic set. But, yes, he was the best.
Never loud enough Jerry ,, gotta love that...
Awesome show!!!
Thanks for posting...🍺😎👍
Enjoyed hearing this rare performance. Thanks for sharing.
Priceless!
I was in the club at about that time. I remember the hash bar in the basement and the ABBA clone ban playing in the top floor. Then other stuff happened.
Jerry looking healthy and hale.

super been there a couple times !
WAY Cool! Thanks for posting!!!!!
very nice
Nice!
was reading about this show in rock scullys book supposedly jerry and bob had a great time here and had 2 talk the band into coming back to play because other shows were rained out and they wanted 2 sit around.
From what I remember they were supposed to play the south of France and hardly any tickets were sold so they cancelled those shows and played the Melkweg instead. If not correct please correct my memory.
they werent rained out but canceled due to low ticket sales in Frejuce and Nancy in the south of France. :)
I HAVE BEEN ON THE BUS SINCE 1982,...I NEVER FELT the evil yet.....that almost 32 years ago.
crap...this is really neat...boys havin fun...brighting my day...yet ...once agin.

Grateful brother bear 🙏🏼
oh boy
@birdsongin I'm glad cause that's why I do it! (~):}
12:32 ❤
more the master and the other master
"Amazingly devastating ointments" I think Bob is saying he is a bit stoned here .....
God bless the Grateful Dead!
WRONG! Bob stopped getting high at 18-19 he was talking about he cords on Cassidy. Every play it?
Some of this was played for the first time man.....BOB on Cassidy? Neil's death.
epic
Though l saw every video. The speed of Jack of Roe, not easy to find. And you can hear what each one is playing.
Yes! I'm the same way-thinking I've seen all the vids, and then a gem like this is uncovered. Jerry and Bob, doing what they do best. Amazing! 😎👍
Were they about to play bird song?
Big sound from two guys.
The Jack A Roe here is from another planet. Just watch Bobs playing. This isn’t “rhythm guitar”....I don’t know what is is 😄
Any acoustic Jerry is better than most anything...
What’s the audience guy yell before Jack A Roe when Jerry replies “oh really? What a responsibility?”
7:04 birdie go tweet
Encore
I imagine there was some good in his system.
$$$$$$end the fukin Bill down the " PLumber "!!!!!
:)
borrowed guitars from a local pub band?
That is just too cool for school. Amsterdam Amazin'! 😎
Thx Voodoo…Watch Bobby get all political and shit?!@? GOODSTUFF!!
Turn that sucker up some more!
UAU
smoke
Wtf !! No Terrapin ..!!!?? lol..
haha Weir complaining about 'the powers that be and their weapons' and now he is buddies with them. So easy to buy people.
Wow what are you talking about that sounds way off base and made up
Hey, huge deadhead here and I’d consider myself a bit more knowledgeable than your average guitar player, but this sucks :)
Remember The Talamo in the nicest way possible, what did you ever do with your life that amounted to anywhere near these guys? NOTHING. Poor bitter person.
ABOVE AVG.GUITAR PLAYER- that never got anywhere with that "" "" supposed skill, call urself a big deadhead then go an talk negative man you lost somethin in your soul along the way if thats how you express yourself.but hey, to each his own.in your heart you know exactly what im sayin to you.
What I did/ am doing with my life is supporting this band. Monkey and the engineer sounds very, very off to me. Your comment would have come off much better with out the insults. Jerry was the first one to admit when they sucked and Jerry even mentioned he couldn’t hear shit in the monitor. I’m sorry I “struck a chord” with my comment but your response was way overboard talking about my soul... you’ve never met me haha. Either way, maybe my head wasn’t in the right spot when this comment was left, but for you to take it so personally on a public forum may say something about your soul.
It’s like making love.. sometimes you think it was great, when she doesn’t 🤗
Jahahahaha! LMFAO at this comment.
$$$$$$end the fukin Bill down the " PLumber "!!!!!
