I am sitting on my porch after a long day of gardening, tending kiddos and living the good country life, knitting a shawl and listening to this. The Dead and the tour culture around it formed me. Forever grateful ❤❤❤
What a nice treat to kick off the days between, nice upload!
"Please don't murder me"
This was part of a 15 night run at the 2,300 seat warfield in a fairly seedy part of downtown sf. I had just come up from puru and my buddies told me the dead had just finished 7 nights, auggh! Then they told me 8 more nights were coming! Thank you grateful dead, you always came through with the miracles.
Jones and Eddy
How can you not love the dead! This has me smiling from ear to ear!
Scott Morrison damn rites!!!!
I listened to Skeletons in the closet as a teen and it was bad representation. There was no UA-cam then. But I'm on the bus now question is in next lifetime can I get reborn to 70s so I can experience mid to late 80s dead
I stumbled upon this last night... I had forgotten about this; so thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
China Doll always gives me goosebumps.
These shows and RCMH are sooo special!
Gold. Solid. Fuckin. Gold.
forget what they told you, leave everything behind, there is a pathway through darkness, somewhere inside.
Thank you!
I wish they performed Heaven Help the Fool with vocals but I’m still glad they played it.
Never thought I’d hear Jerry tell people to “sing along with us if you like”! What a moment. And I think Bob was serious when he said that Jerry wrote Ripple for his mom, who died around the time the album was recorded.
I always thought they'd move around more then this thou..
"... Just for a second there, I thought I saw something move..."
Bob Dylan
Spent a month there, one night.
Was at the Warfield accoustic shows first set, Jerry on the left Brent with that long beautiful hair I beg if you don't murder me
Nice... somehow I missed this show....
Amazing concert!
God bless the American band The Grateful Dead. It's amazing how they bring Americana into mainstream awareness through pop music. Folk music at that... I prefer it electrified. It's nice to hear something different though with an acoustic set.
GREAT RIPPLE!!
i was at a few of these shows. :)
Love this venue
It's great how you can take ingredients combine them and procure a masterpiece, marvel to the ear. Of course it's in the ear of the beholder.. For me this institution tickles my funnybone.....😅
Wow...Love is love...! GD is the stuff!
Grateful !!! (~):}
I love acoustic Dead from 1980 and before they had over 150 official live Albums I thought this was the all around best live album. The Electric portions just didn't seem to reach the highs of 11/30/80 Fox Theater I liked Dead Ahead better than Dead Set .This is some super timeless music , and it sounds so sweet gathering around the turntable to hear a great storyteller .It brought is together now everyone is in their own worlds with their headphones never doing tape trading sessions where you bring your deck with you and make maybe 10-20 tapes each one recorded in real time and you had to flip the tape and nobody wanted tapes that were high speed dubbed a lot of those put fast tapes in circulation and some slow dragging ones there's pro and cons with both then and now
hya mules!
😊😊😊
Thanks, 600 = S of sin...
