- In this video, you will learn how to make alcohol using sugar and yeast. Sugar is an essential ingredient in the fermentation process as it provides the necessary energy for the yeast to convert sugar into alcohol. This video will guide you through the process of making alcohol step-by-step, from preparing the ingredients to the fermentation and bottling. You will also learn tips and tricks to ensure the best possible outcome for your homemade alcohol.
I forgot to add ignition test in the video . I actually did ignition test but didnt captured it . the 47% ethanol also burnt and the 61% ethanol burnt well.

When i was in hostel i used to make beer within 24 hours by this formula and enjoy it with friends 😂😂😅
That’s what I’m doing!
are you a doctor?
@@bgmieditscy no bro
@@tirthagopalsaha6843 how can i contact you?
Please explain bro
Thanks you explained this process along better than the others I appreciate you
I am learning to produce Ethanol to use for my Bio-fuel Production.Through watching your process of production,I wish to use this method of Ethanol production to produce Bio-Fuel....Anthony Anakapu Lawton..Alotau,Milne Bay,Papua New Guinea..
Nice information,
How to make sure it's ethanol and not methanol which is harmful?
Thank you
There are test by which we can differntiate methanol and ethanol like iodoform test which will be given by ethanol. Oxidation test oxidising methanol with acidified KmnO4 will yield CO2 gas but oxidising ethanol with KMnO4 will give acetic acid which can be detected by its vinegar like smell. But in fermentation only ethanol is produced and not methanol. This process have been used to produce drinkable ethanol from years. So u cant doubt it.
@@TheDIYChemistIt is drinkable?
Can i use the the same yeast that is used to elevate home bread paste??? Saccharamyces cerevicieae.
Yes
Dear Chemist,
Can you please tell, does this process simultaneously produce methanol. How to avoid methanol in this process?
No
did you make the bottle top for permantation lock yourself?
IMHO the best fermentation containers are the ones leftover from gallon jugs of Sangria. Bout $20 at Walmart. What you do with the liquid beforehand is up to you really.
I dont have distillation. can i just used it for aluminum can stove. Just raw after fermentation
Is it safe? Methanol or some other compounds ? Sterilization of Equipment?
If i use less water and after, can i skip the last process of boiling?
No
Can we use it for perfumes please reply!!!!
No
can we drink it
Yep its alcohol
Not it has high concentrations of methanol
If the measurement of sugar and water...will i not get the desired result
Sir please give me dep oil formula
Thankyou
Unbelievable. Making alcohol from sugar and yeast! Yes, it's called brewing....it's been universally practiced for about 6000 years.
As for the chemistry set...... yes it's called distilling, that's only about 1000 years old.
Hi bro
From day one we will lock the air with cap
Which yeast you have used
Are u sure that bottle is 2 liters? Bcx in some countries its 1,5
Bottle is 2.25 L
What's %
I have told in the video . Watch it properly
@@TheDIYChemist just answer his question, aint nobody watching that
He gor 47% . 7:26 is the timeline
Can we drink?
You can drink it but you should not drink it.
What in the world are you doing wrong to only get 47% with fractional distillation
Column is not good, slowly and gradually i improvised it in next video to 86% and then i build a fractionating column then i got 95%
@@TheDIYChemist I guess so. I didn't even know you could get that low through a fractional column. My simple distillation get's it much higher than 47%
👍🏻
Kya ye hum pe sakty hain
Alcohol is not something one should drink. Yes of course you can but you shouldn't
Toh banaya kyu?@@TheDIYChemist
Bro you made methanol in the first place , which you did not say? Am I right? That was not perfect ethanol and that can kill you,if you drink it!
Methanol is not made in this process
@@TheDIYChemist first 5 ml will be methanol and then will only be ethanol. So if methanol is not taken ,and throwed away,if we drink we die!
Methanol was made bro. Yeast produces both ethanol and methanol during fermentation and distillation concentrates it as methanol has a lower boiling point (around 65degree celsius)
I did fractional distillation and not simple distillation and no distilaate was collected below 78℃
Can you please help me with a set up of this lab I have a solution that do like to have you in discussions once I'm accepted .....
i saw this kind of tutorial in codys lab but that video is deleted

What is funny
What's funny. Clearly his mother tongue is not English, but speaking impeccable English.
Just imagine Onyiiillo trying to speak in any Indian or other asian language how would he or she fare if at all able to speak even after learning the language.
