Lol, I know, right!! And then finish home renovations. But I’ve been doing some paintings to stock up as well. It’s not always easy to get setup and ready for a video. Thank you for your support Ray!!
❤🎉 Karim so good to see you back, I hope everything is relatively ok with you and stuff.. I'm one of the guilty ones hoping to see you using bigger canvases lol sorry 🥴🥺 Thanks for your videos. 😊😍🎈🥰
Your video has been a tremendous source of inspiration for me. Lately, I've found myself overly immersed in intricate details, leading to a growing sense of frustration. I have a specific question regarding the painting you demonstrated. Would it be visually appealing if the largest tree in the composition had a high level of detail, deviating from a loose style? I'm attempting to strike a balance between extreme detailing and a more relaxed approach. However, I'm grappling with insecurities about my artistic choices. It feels as though I was a more confident painter in the initial months, and over time, the pursuit of progress has turned into a somewhat obsessive challenge. Btw beautiful painting :)
Thank you, I’m my videos are helping!! As for the tree, I wouldn’t go too detailed, just enough. If you go too detailed then it will look awkward compared to the rest of the painting. I give details to the surrounding, which in turn will trick the mind thinking the main subject is more detailed than the rest of the painting! Hope that makes sense. You still want to keep the painting loose and impressionistic to match the rest of the painting. Give just enough info so that the viewer can make up their own mind!
Gebahi, is you palette a plastic palette? Does it have a cover? And where could I get one like yours. Thank you for sharing. I love your style of work. Helps me be freer.
Thank you Linda!! Yes, it’s plastic and the paint cleans off easily with water when done. You can the link in my description on Amazon. Also Stay wet palettes from Mastersons are great and have a cover as opposed to the one I’m using.
I have a 12 x 16 masterson with a glass insert and lid. But no compartments for the paint . It does keep the paint wet very well for a length of time. It is very heavy and the sides are high. The one you are using seems to be a water color palette but can't find it on Amazon. Sorry for being so picky. That is why I like your style because your more lose and i am tight and a detailest from doing pencil portrait portraits for many years. I am exploring the change on how I do things. Being more free for expression of my soul. Thanks for your help Gebahi.@@GebahiArtworks
How good is it ? They also do a line called CRYLA. PS. I'm in France, and it's difficult to get stuff here. I use Jacvkson's in the UK. Not much good to you - the shipping would be horrific ! @@GebahiArtworks
@@robinbest4786 they are pretty decent! The consistency is like that of Liquitex Basics if you ever used them. They covered well and had a good flow when spreading them. Cryla is their heavy body line! My other recommendation to you would be Matisse Structure acrylics, loved them! And the other is Amsterdam Expert. Matisse Structure is well priced for what you get. But if your budget allows, then Golden heavy Body, Liquitex Professional, and Amsterdam expert. Those should be available to you in France, even Charvin acrylics, they are not bad. I have a large painting I did with system3, a 36”x48”, over 15 years ago, and there is no fading!
@@GebahiArtworks Thanks for all that - I take note. Watching your demos I particularly like the way you just get on with it. Some of the UA-cam demonstrators drool and drizzle endlessly on and on and never seem to get to the point. The only reason you keep watching is wondering what fatuous remark they’re going to make next ! Thanks for sharing your expertise - I wish you all success !
Great work! Thanks for your insights!
Anytime!!
You're getting it done, you save babies and you bustin' paint...thanks so much...

You almost had some Van Gogh swirls in the foreground grass - for a while 😂
Thank you, I’m working on another video! I a there a subject you prefer in particular?

@@lindafoote8457 I believe I bought this one at Michael’s!
Do you know Daler Rowney System 3 Heavy body acrylics ? Turner always used Daler Rowney products , which speaks well of them.
It’s was the first heavy body I used when I started! But it’s not easily accessible here. Although I can get them online.
