Thanks! There isn''t really a supershoe that feels the same due to the foams they use in racing shoes will generally be softer, be more responsive and bounce. So, I now wanted to write a review instead of just commenting on comments. I am back into running since 4 months and since then i did a huge ton of research, reading tests, watching testvideos, reading comments, compare everything and everything, buying shoes, selling shoes, giving thoughts about different things, experimenting with my own running, etc. 4 months. The last 10 years i run a few times a year maybe, with a Asics GT2000 and not gave a thought about shoes, as they fited me and i thought of them to be the soft road shoe and that's it. Also I gained weigzht of course on those 10+ years, despite beeing sporty in my free time, doing different stuff, different courses from mobility, little complex core, back, mostly rock climbing. Now a huge new world has opened up for me after beeing motivated to run again. Stats right now: 1,80m/90kg and from 2 running shoes (GT-2000 #4, then #9 and gel Fujitrabuco) to right now >10. Of course my times are way worse since then and also since last year I have a litte problem with my left knee which now turned out to be a horizontal tear in the medial meniscus. I also had a terrible car accident 18 years ago and broke my hips 3 times, ad that seems to catch up a bit in recent times. My left hip isn't as mobile as the right, despite the right also beeing not that good. And i really worked on it! That said, in every day life and other sports, I would never know that there is anything in me, which is not that good. Never noticed anything. Right now, after having a sitting computer job for the last years, the feeling got worse, probably do to atrophied muscles in my hip region. Hip flexor has always bneen weak, now i think of it as beeing non existant ;) Alls of that may have contriubuted for my leg axes beeing a bit off and over time leading to that degenerative meniscus wear. And i just turned 36 and not like 86! Because of that, i am now experimenting heavier than ever with material (shoes) and what to do exactly. My left hip has a little less space than my right the x-ray said. All in all: there is way too less damage to operate or do anything, except conservative therapy. Anyway, to the shoe: Since i started to get into the research my first buy was a Novablast 4 TR (EU46), but it didn't stop there. I have the Noosa Tri 15 (EU46) and it is super, but when i ran faster after 6-7km it is too gard for me (on the road at least). I need 1.) more quads to absorb forces to not go into my jojnts, tendons and ligaments like my knees and hips, 2.) more shock absorbing runnig style (no more heel striking!!) and 3.) more shock absorbing shoes. The new GT-2000 #10, #11 and #12: The #10 is similar to my #9, rolls good, the #11 is wider snad stiffer, runs harder and the #12 is a hard brick which is unrunable! Slapping like a piece of wood. You have to really land perfectly with the whole outsole at once for this shoe to be bearable and also not makeing loud slapping sounds. Nimbus 26: hate it! too sinky soft, so heavy and fat heel + the drop, that forces you heel first into the ground. + make super loud(!) slapping noises anyway. Run on the forefoot, yeah, feels strange and is also loud. Haven't found a way to do something with this shoes to be accepptable. After exchanging the brick of a GT-2000 #12 to the Nimbus 26, i paid the whole 200€ UVP. Now prices decrease and i have to sell the Nimbus, maybe for little over half the price. I also returned the Kayano 31, since it is also 200€ and didn't convince me, since the mid- to outsole felt like softer plastic, felt firm (but not too stiff) etc. Better than Nimbus 26 maybe, but: next. Ah, a analysis said that my feet roll perfectly neutral, no probation or supination, but it seems that my fest foot toughes the ground longer than my right and also is loaded with more weight. That also is a fitting piece of the puzzle on how, and why my left hip is less mobile. Oh, and the x-ray also showed my left hip to be a little higher since my car accident - before that, as a schoolboy, it was the other way around, that my right side was a little higher. I explain this because the more tired you get, the more four foot seems to start to pronate more and more, because your arches start to collapse. And since the Wings For Life App run in the start of may, which was my 3rd run this year and the 2nd in my new Novablast 4 TR (neutral shoe) and the 2nd run after my GT-2000 #9 (mild stability shoe with pronation support), where i ran until i was unable to run any more (1:30h + walking until the car coiught me) i really felt the inside of my left knee and it didn't go away like in fall of 2023. That'S when all of this started. Got back into running, research, bough NB4TR, motivated, run 3 times (once a week) 10-12km with altitude and then that sh*t happened... So, mild pronation support maybe when feet get tired after a (for me) longer run? I ended up with Asics Kayano Lite 3 and liked them! I was able to run on my forefoot or midfootish way more easily, they were softer and absorb more impact than my GT-2000 #9 and there was nothing annoying like Nimbus 26. + i was able to run slower, which i always struggle with. By now, all my other shoes are way more fun and bouncy, so the Kayano Lite 3 just sit there in the box at the moment. Also a Superblast (1) I got, lso did just 1 testrun in my city. Fact is: the longer i search and test, the more i recognize how good my purchase of my Novablast 4 TR was! Such a good and versatile shoe for me! If i had stopped after this first purchase and just went runnig without spending hours affter hours researching every day, I wouldn't be less happy than I am right now. Well, the NOvablast 4 TR (EU 46) and my Hoka Speedgoat 5 (EU 46 - down from the "normal" 46 2/3 because of steep downhils+softness+myweight+the give of the shoes). Currently at home for testing and running (4 models): * Brooks Ghost Max (45; for my larger right foot EU 45,5 would also be good with thick socks, but my full US size smaller left foot...) should replace Nimbus. Shock absorbing slow road shoe. * Hoka Mach 6 as an uptempo daily trainer * Asics Noosa Tri 16 to replace the 15, for sockless running in summer, also for shorter and faster stuff * Saucony Triumph 20 (EU 45) and 21 (46) --> I ordered the Triumph 21 in EU 46 from a 2nd hand portal - just ran once In addition at home right now: * Asics Novablast 4 TR (EU 46) --> best versatile shoe! * Asics Novablast 2 (EU 46) --> got NEW recently for 50€. * Asics Superblast (1) (EU 44 left foot -- EU 45 right foot) --> do it all, faster supertrainer/longrun/raceday/whatever GOAT. shit grip when wet. * Asics Kayano Lite 3 (EU 45) --> keep for now? * Hoka Speedgoat 5 (US 10,5D / EU 44 2/3 for the left foot, US 11,5D / EU 46 for the right foot) --> super road to trail shoe! * Asics Fuji Lite 4 (EU 44 left foot -- EU 45 for the right foot) --> alternative to the Hoka 5. A little firmer, more bouncy, probably better longevity ___ * Asics Nimbus 26 (EU 45) --> sell them and should be replaces with Ghost Max (1) in EU 45 * Asics Noosa Tri 15 (EU 46) --> sell or keep as a sneaker; should get replaced with Noosa Tri 16 (EU 46) * Asics Novablast 3 (EU 45) --> don't like it, too swimmy/unstable. NB4 TR is WAY better. Have to check against the NB2 though. * Saucony Kinvara 14 (EU 45) --> sell because too hard * Asics GT-2000 #9 (EU 46) --> sell * Asics GT-2000 #10 (EU 46) maybe keep 1 GT2000 for whatever reason? + i love the colour (Carrier gray) * Asics GT-2000 #11 (EU 46) --> sell because of too hard over time, also #10 rolls better.
Currently at home for testing and running (4 models):
* Brooks Ghost Max (45; for my larger right foot EU 45,5 would also be good with thick socks, but my full US size smaller left foot...) should replace Nimbus. Shock absorbing slow road shoe.
* Hoka Mach 6 as an uptempo daily trainer
* Asics Noosa Tri 16 to replace the 15, for sockless running in summer, also for shorter and faster stuff
* Saucony Triumph 20 (EU 45) and 21 (46) --> I ordered the Triumph 21 in EU 46 from a 2nd hand portal - just ran once
In addition at home right now:
* Asics Novablast 4 TR (EU 46) --> best versatile shoe!
* Asics Novablast 2 (EU 46) --> got NEW recently for 50€.
A little firmer, more bouncy, probably better longevity
___
* Asics Nimbus 26 (EU 45) --> sell them and should be replaces with Ghost Max (1) in EU 45
* Asics Noosa Tri 15 (EU 46) --> sell or keep as a sneaker; should get replaced with Noosa Tri 16 (EU 46)
* Asics Novablast 3 (EU 45) --> don't like it, too swimmy/unstable. NB4 TR is WAY better. Have to check against the NB2 though.
* Saucony Kinvara 14 (EU 45) --> sell because too hard
* Asics GT-2000 #9 (EU 46) --> sell
* Asics GT-2000 #10 (EU 46) maybe keep 1 GT2000 for whatever reason? + i love the colour (Carrier gray)
* Asics GT-2000 #11 (EU 46) --> sell because of too hard over time, also #10 rolls better. Sell despite liking the neon-yellow colour!
* Asics Evoride 3 (EU 46) --> sell or keep them as a shoe for work
Anyway: I don't normally subscribe or give love to strangers easily, but i very much enjoy your tests and reviews! A very well deserved subcription from me :)
And I also think you are a pretty cool guy ;)
Oh, btw I'm from Austria, which time and time again gets confused with Australia.
Kangaroos? No, in the middle of Europe, next to Germany, Hitler!
Then foreigners understand ;)
