Your initial review is gold. Like another commenter I am US9.5 in Pro 3 and got US10 in Pro 4 and the fit is perfect. It would have been way too snug/short otherwise. You saved me. Nothing worse than waiting for a shoe you've been wanting for ages only to find out it doesn't fit right. So thanks! 👍

The Vomero 17 ruined my feet. They feel OK for the first 50 miles or so, but then the foam in the fore foot becomes too soft and allows your feet to roll outwards on every steps, pressing hard against the up upper. The upper ia terrible. It is unbreathable and never makes your feel feel truly locked down.

I've got both shoes but I prefer the Novablast 4. For me, the foam in the 5 is less propulsive and dead. It's the same foam being used in the Glideride Max. Don't get me wrong, the 5 is still a good shoe but the 4 is a tad firmer (denser), gives a really nice rebound and propulsion and is a better versatile shoe. The 5 is just a daily trainer and recovery shoe now and that's how I intend to use it. Thanks for the comparison review.

I get the impression New Balance were so impressed with themselves when they made the SC Elite V4 that they made a decision that ALL the shoes that came after it were going to look the same.

I have hopes in this model, cause the 13th version was soooo soft that I've gotten tension in my plantar fascia. I loved the 1080 v12 and had to give away the 1080v13 after just 50 kilometres...

Great review...I got a pair of these about 3 weeks ago and couldn't agree more with the outsole grip and the midsole. Grip on the 1080 v14 is better in wet than my Adidas Boston, yes better than the Continental rubber. The midsole ride is outstanding, perfect mix softness and resilience and a joy to wear all day long.

Which tempo shoe would you recommend for big +90kg guy? Ive used Novablast 4 as daily trainer and going to get pair of 5s for spring. I was going to get Tri Noosa 16s for tempo but in review you said that its not optimal for heavy persons.

Upcoming Mizuno Neo Zen seems to be a contender for best daily runner.

These Brooks felt like my Asics nimbus, a little bit more springy, I didn’t bought them bcs both are heavy and went with the SB2.

I have both and the Glycerin is more forgiving on the foot. I use it for long runs above 50km. If I'm going for a 20k run I'd choose the Novablast

I’m tossing up between this and the endorphin elite 2, keen to hear your thought on the latter.

The 14 was my favorite & I loved the 15, but when I ran in the 16 it has become my favorite shoe. I now run in it, wear it for everyday things. I have to get another pair.

Loved the Pro 2, still using them so I'll definitely try this out. Mizuno always make quality shoes.

I was in the fence to get the Neo Vista because of the talks about the grip, durability of the outsole and instability for overpronation runners like myself. But I did buy and I'm loving the Mizuno Wave Sky 8 that also have a full middlesole of Enerzy NXT. I will keep an eye next year for the Vista 2 and the Zen ! But what I really ,really want from then in 2025 : Wave Rider 29 ( changed everything about these shoes) and the Wave Sky 9 . Great New Year Everyone !

would you recommend the zoomfly 6 for 5k training and racing if I don't want a shoes that is too stiff?

I run on 14 and 15, they run really well, I run half marathons on them, I want to buy the 16 and run the Rotterdam Marathon on it, it will be my first marathon

I have these. They are WAY better than I was expecting. Super comfortable, and really push me along. Whereas the Adidas Adios Pro 4 ripped my heels to shreds and left me with tattered, bloody socks after just a parkrun! 1-0 to the Onemix!

I'm not an elite runner. 185lbs 5'8. I have to say the durability of the sole has taken a step back to make it lighter. I have the elite 2s that have more mileage that my 3s and the wear on my 3s are more noticeable compared to my 2s. Wear them sparingly if you're a heavier set runner cuz it wont last that long.

a few shoetubers is saying the plate is too stiff on the forefoot, is it true?

I had heard they finally connected the inner heel collar padding strips, so that gaping hole in the back of the heel cup spine was no longer there. But from your video it looks like it's still there. Which is a huge problem for people with heel lift issues. No idea why they do this, Nike / Asics both have great heel lock downs because they put padding in the heel cup spine....no idea why Adidas went with this design yet again.

Seems the Superblast stock is well and truly replenished these days. A lot of retailers have plenty of stock. I think Asics have finally fixed their supply issues. Good timing just before Xmas.

Which one wins in versatility to you? 3 or 4?

Adidas didn’t fix the Achilles shredding issue on this version. I think they actually made it worse! I couldn’t take these more than 5 miles before that horrible plastic at the top of the heel counter started blistering my Achilles! Back to Adidas they go!

Looks like a winner to me. I have a pair on order and I’m sure they will fit in my rotation somewhere. Being an ounce lighter than the 3’s sealed the deal for me.

It sounds like a good update. However, I doubt I'll pick it up because all my previous Adios Pros have ended up as long run workout shoes and I already have too many of those. I'll probably save what few dollars I have left for the new Brooks and Asics supershoe drops later next year as they really have me interested. I'm a little worry about the compliant of the new foam. I think (as a mild overpronator) that may not be enough to my arch support. The Pro 3 I found solid, stable, and I feel fast on it but, viewing the numbers and data it's just the feel (there wasn't fast enough for my mechanics). The Pro 3 lacks power return that I got from Endorphin Pro 3 or the Metaspeed Sky Paris. If I can get one of these Pro 4 I'll see what's going on, it will be fun to try out

Thanks for all the reviews this year. A quick question for you; I have an arthritic big toe which means I need to wear a wide shoe for comfort. My current favourite is the Supercomp trainer, which is very comfortable but a bit heavy for racing. Do you know of any racing shoes that come in a wide fitting (super shoe or even a step down from super :))

Lol your 5'smidsole is less softer than your 4? They must have really done horribly with those samples. The 5's are noticeably softer than the 4's and you'll see that in a lot of recent reviews. Except the early ones who also got samples like Doctors of Running.

I love this shoe but they’re definitely not TTS 😥
