- This World of Warcraft Geoguessr game quickly made me realize that I have spent WAY too long playing this game. The fact that I know almost every single zone, location, NPC and building fills me with a feel I cannot describe. On one hand, World of Warcraft is a ton of fun! On the other, goodness gracious, the game certainly drains the soul of out you. OH WELL!

my first ever blood elf pally in BC was the shit, I dropped a geared 60lvl dwarf pally for him
That conected with me on so many levels. I've leveled there so many times i do it on auto pilot and every time in my head im 10 steps ahead

I've played this game way too much. I knew exactly each one of these locations. Even the Night elf with the dirt piles (asking for Ungoro seeds). I didn't do ALL of these quests in Classic, but I did a LOT of world exploration during Wrath and Cataclysm.
Played Wow very casually for maybe a year or 2, and I am impressed af
I got into hyjal in Classic, but they patched it I think in TBC. they made the hill higher so that you can't get on top of it
Eager to see you do Northrend, Outland sucks😁
This also says something about WoW's art direction. They did a well enough job to make the world recognizable and memorable.

This seriously encapsulates many people's experience in gaming. Folks who havent lived it, have a hard time relating and appreciating it on the same level as those who did.
Oh, Im there, absolutely. Tho sometimes its amazing to think, Ive been living in that world for 18 years. But if Blizzard some day shuts the game down, it'll be like losing a limb.

I love how each zone has such a memorable feel to it, each one has its own unique feel that is almost instantly recognizable
I agree, but I do kind of wish that the zones blended together a bit more where they meet - the change from one zone to another can feel very abrupt.
This made me realize how unique and how special all those classic - wotlk zones felt. I might not be as accurate as you but you can instantly tell which zone atleast it must be because of the unique atmosphere these zones are giving.
While this is a good geoguesser website the one crendor uses is better IMO

You can get to Hyjal without wall hacking. There is a spot you can jump up the mountain edges at the bottom of Winterspring where the elite demons reside.

You could actually get pretty easily into Hyjal back during Vanilla WoW due to the wall jumping exploit. You just needed some extra speed and jump over a specific set of ledges in the demon area in the south of Winterspring. You could also get into the Caverns of Time that way, or ontop of the Ironforge Airfield.
You don't need extra speed you can mount in a certain way to wall jump through it. It's the same technique used to get to the flat area behind Orgrimmar and old Ironforge, and the flat area behind Ironforge. I think you can still do it in classic WoW, too.
@@zxbc1 Well yeah, with extra speed I meant more than walking speed. For the Hyjal exploit Druid travelform or Shaman ghost wolf is actually enough.

7:15 I did get there on Vanilla, using a hunter and feign death I was able to make my way past all the level 60 elite demons down south of Winterspring and finding the right walls to jump around on could make my way high enough to get over the invisible wall guarding the entrance, scared the shit out of me when I ran into that skull in the tree.
Fun times until one day I had a level 60 rogue, non PVP server, randomly show up near me, than go invisible and re-appear a few times, I figured it was a GM, you know back in the day when GM's frequented the game and thought I best not test the limits and get banned, so I left.
The incorrect grabeyard miss can have 2 meanings. 1: personally i saw it and immediately remembered being one of the level 60 rogues spawn camping people sending everyone to that GY. Which means he never died in booty bay so he mistook it for the other one. 2: kekw
1:27 that's me with Eversong woods. Or the DK starting area. I could tell you step by step where to go for every quest in the zone without looking at my screen.
This is me. I bring other races to Eversong Woods to level there.
@@Vaelandria Pre legion I use to port my Human DK to plaguelands then just ride to outside Silvermoon and just sit on a lily pad outside on the little pond with path of frost and just chill there. Looking at all the trees, and magic trees while listening to the music.

You mentioned that WOW is more interesting with low view distance and I agree. It's because the fog that bounds the view distance limit changes color depending on weather or the zone you are in, so it adds to the atmosphere tremendously.
Sadly realized I've played waaaaayyyy to much horde because some spots threw me tf off.

I've covered retail in about 500 hours (less, if you only count the old world), but I was able to tell where most were (though you were faster in seeing Winterspring vs Khaz Modan, for example)
Really impressive even getting most of them right in the middle of the spot

As someone who recently leveled through felwood, you spend like zero time in Talonbranch glade. It’s really weird that the biggest town isn’t a hub.
Dunno whats sadder that i got 100% for classic showing i have no life... or the fact it was only 100% because of the PTSD flashes i got from Rolling on a PVP server
I wallhacked Hyjal in classic and nobody noticed, I was in there for hours (took me even longer to get there in the first place 😅) before using my hearth

I also had a really bat computer then I first played wow and had a view distance of 0. like for the first few months I just thought wow was really foggy.
05:00 , yup never truly play wow before , only play it to get the hearthstone card back . But i get chu , i'm a gw2 vet and if someone ask me the locations in gw2 i think i will get it 9 times out of 10

I know the whole Classic map like my pocket and i can tell what the fastest routes are for travelling but i cant even navigate through my own city

If you do this again it would be nice to show the locations for longer. Felt like they were barely up for a split second so it was hard to play along.
what I love about this is that not only do you know the place instantly, you actually give a little story about the location.
Look, no one who played vanilla ever spent time in Darnassus, so getting a Darnassus location wrong is totally natural.

you could get to hyjal by wallclimbing in original vanilla. We did it in my guild, to have fun.

Through the power of wall-climbing on official servers. You could get to Hyjal via Whisperwind Gorge, not too far from what would have been the entrance to the bottom of the area. I miss wall-climbing to this day. It was so fun.
Good old times.. even after their first attempt to preventing people from entering via wall-climbing into Mt. Hyjal, you still could do it just a few yards away from the original spot and get in, before they completely surrounded it with invisible walls. - i spent so much time in OG Vanilla Hyjal
