Eight years after seeing this beast destroy everything it goes up against, it remains the most impressive Fairlane to ever touch the asphalt. These cars lend themselves so well to drag racing, and this one looks so damned good out there, eating up and spitting out the competition, whether it’s on two wheels or four! There ain’t nothing on Earth that sounds as good as a Ford, not no way, no how.
Oh MAN! This is WHY I love Ford. Taking an old ride like that and making it into something that in my opinion, makes a Z06 look like a tinker toy! Keep the GM, give me one of DEESE! Yeah, I know, no such word, then again, no such feeling as the one I get when I imagine taking a drive in a beast like this!
If you had a one inch taller rear tire profile you'd be in the 8's @ 150-155 mph, you have plenty of power, and you're ahead of the gearing, the engine doesn't even grunt. That's the way to be, power up front traction in the back, I think it will keep the front end down just a little bit on the launch, just enough to trim about .3 seconds off your 60' time, optimistically, guaranteed at least .15 seconds, and your pull will continue further so your shift light will trip 12-16 feet later about 3/4 of a car length or so, and about jardbto judge on a phone but that would if I were able to watch again have a more accurate estimation, about 1.5 Fairlane sized car lengths from the beam, (that equals approximately 2 full fox body lengths lol) You have more potential to unleash from that True Insane, Blue Fairlane
Is it true that you have to start from first gear once you have shifted with these transmissions? Start from the beginning so to say. I've heard that they don't support engine breaking, but it's done in the video.

Like a well orcastrated symphony. Incredible machine.
Grant now runs a Liberty trans in it with a wheelie bar out back to control the launch
This ford is my favorite looks fantastic. leaves the line fantastic and is fast as hell ,fantastic job building this one.
Nothing like the sound a ford makes at 8500. Sweet ride.
Such great lines on this car, sounds tough and the Lenco puts it over the top
Awesome Fairlane, I love it!
