Precisely! And I would think that most of those non mask wearing people also, in the past, always told people to cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough. The reason why you cover your mouth in those situations is why you wear a mask for Covid. It can spread more easily just from the spittle ejected while speaking or the puffs of your breath from breathing. (In cold weather when you can see your breath...as you watch someone walk and exhale and you then see someone else walking into that puff, that's transmission happening.)
Wear your mask while distancing. If it's cloth, then wash it regularly. Wash your hands regularly. Stay safe!

Being on a ventilator is like being tortured. They have to heavily sedate you just to tolerate it.
The majority of people with the virus who went on ventilators, died.
If there’s one thing worse than being on a ventilator, it would be *not* being on a ventilator ... when you need one.
I don’t think gasping and fighting for every breath is a good way to die.
The very first real laugh I had after my husband died was a couple years ago when Jon Stewart popped up from under Stephen’s desk to promote Night of a Thousand Stars. It’s not just that they’re both very funny men, but their genuine caring for each other and the world that makes them such a joy to watch. Thank you for bringing some joy into such a dark time in my life then. And now, a couple years later, watching the two of you together, even as you discuss how awful the world is right now, gives me hope.
The daily show single handedly got me into politics when i was younger and i love when john flashes a cameo. Thanks for all you do for this country, those who you have taught will never forget. ✊🏼

Actually, Trump's grandfather contracted the Spanish Flu and died because of it. Trump just doesn't mention it because it would mess with his "no one's ever seen anything like this before" "no one could've seen this coming" narrative, and he probably *likes* the fact that his grandfather died because his dad cashed in on his life insurance policy and used the money to build the fortune Trump got to piss away.

Sure the message is bullshit, but they do have the right to show their political support. And it is good that they were wearing a mask. I learned humiliation is not a good strategy, never, even if it is a person you hate. It only exacerbates the situation, is unhelpful. I never felt pleasure when I saw people being humiliated, even people that goes against everything I am. I felt sorry and ashamed. I’m really against it!

The 1918 advice about staying inside, wearing a mask, and social distancing was the same as now because smart people existed back then too. The real question is what percentage followed that advice then compared to now.

Exactly. When a new disease comes along, that advice is the best way to slow the spread down while work ramps up "to find a cure". One hundred years on, we have much better technology to assist us, and greater knowledge to apply in the search for the vaccine.
Those rules are much older than 1918. The Bible in Leviticus chapters 13 and 14 says that those with leprosy must social distance themselves from others and go into quarantine. Wise advice from God himself.

In 1918 they used a simple preventive/cure that I have been trying to tell people about with a UA-cam video. This simple method is apparently effective against the entire variety of respiratory viruses, and I have a lot of experience with this method in preventing and healing myself of various maladies, including colds and flus. In the comments section of that video I posted a link to a video interview with a 100 year-old woman whose family was untouched by the 1918 flu although everyone else in their small Alabama town GOT the flu - And she and her family cared for the entire town and yet DID NOT GET THE FLU. Her family used the method I speak of. My UA-cam channel is getting algorithmed to death, I guess, because I dare to share this info. It's a shame my video isn't getting seen by many people yet. Hopefully that will change. Just a "click" away......

I love all of these "Home Shows" so much more than the fancy studio shows. I hope it continues because it's just so real and we get to see our favorite talk show hosts in their homes. It's one of the only things that makes this damn virus easy to deal with.
