This video will show you how to diagnose or troubleshoot the no electrical power in the car. Of course check fuses first and trouble codes and if all fine then check your airbag module If you have the car that starts drives but no electrical power inside the gauges ( instrument panel don't light up or rpm gauges not working ) NAV not lighting up and heater control not working. Watch and see what the issue is and how to fix it. In this case its the airbag module not waking up
My parents bought me a 2011 BMW 328i Xdrive. After having it for 2 days, I began having this issue. I’ve spent hours and hours researching about this problem. I finally got it fixed . All you have to do is charge your battery over night for at least 7-10 hours or buy a new one. It’s the battery’s low voltage and low charge that is causing the dash to go crazy with all the lights.
This isn't the issue bro its a faulty control module ..low voltage does mess with these cars but if the battery has 13 volts roughly then its good

I've installed a new battery in my car and this happened at the very first start up..... Does anyone know if the battery needs to be coded to the car?

Bad alternator and bad battery check the voltage for the battery should be around 14v does your trunk not open either?
This happened to me today. I got on my 2007 335i Sedan and the dashboard lights didn't come on. I pulled out my phone and found this video. Then I decided to check the fuses and right away found that fuse 58 was to blame. It's a 5A fuse. It was hot to the touch and it was the culprit. I replaced it with a 10A one (I didn't have a 5A one at the time) and everything works as normal. So, yeah, check the fuses first. :)

Mine did this and was repaired. Now my radio that was working even while having this issue isn't working at all. When I call someone they can hear me but I can't hear them. The screen is just red. No clock or opts.
Just recently I've had issues with my car. It is a 2009 328i. I had no power, nothing. Car would not crank nor start. I had to use key to manually unlock it. I used the key on the trunk too, to check the battery... everything seemed connected. I pressed my key again and suddenly it opened locks or locked locks and i tried the starter... worked fine.
I get the 4x4! And brake cluster. Turn steering wheel both ways it goes out.
Any suggestions? Could it be my battery dying or that the cables are loose? Could it be the heat in be sun expanding cables?

I have the issue car wont start no light no sign of power in the car after new battery replaced for 328i 2010 removed battery and the trunk was locked no key hold no center console open to reach emergency release trunk. Please help!

Could you please help me out. I grew up changing oil, freeze plugs, starters, heads, alternators, drum brakes, etc so Im not a "novice" but im not a master mechanic either. I have a 2007 BMW 328Xi which Ive had for 6 years now and it has 132,000miles. It sat in my construction yard for over a year while I drove other vehicles, when I finally went to move it the Batt was dead as a door knob, BMW charged me $499 to install and "Program" a new one, while in BMW Service they called telling me the Alternator was also bad needed replacing and it would be an additional $1,300.00 for the Alterntor. I asked Service on specs and found it was a BOSCH 180AMP which NAPA sells for under $300.00 so I installed that myself the day I picked up the car in the BMW Parking Lot with everyone watching me. Car ran for a few days then needed jump starting to get it to go, ran fine for a few more weeks and I discovered Alternator was barely putting out 11.9Volts with engine running, Napa put me through the ringer for days trying to get a new Alternator and in that time the car "Magically" just worked everyday with no problems for 3 months straight so I never pursued the replacement.
3-1/2 Month's Later im driving 45miles away from home up in the Ghetto of this City and im sitting at a red light and my car is idling horribly, Im looking around for Error Messages, Lights, or Anything and nothing is coming up, my Navigation Screen is so Dimm I could barely see anything I knew the Battery was on its last volts and about to die, I ran the red light cut the wheel and almost made it out of the road but some a-hole cut me off and I was forced to stop half through a turn in the middle of the road where it Died. No one would help me push the car, jump the car, or anything but literally 100+ people asked me for money and money and tried selling me drugs, towels, and a electril drill. I was so disgusted with that class of people you have no idea. till I found 5 teenagers riding bikes who helped me push my car through rush hour traffic into a gas station.
Finally got the car towed the following day back home, but I was working so I couldnt be there, I had my father waiting for car once it arrived at house. The Tow Truck Driver tried to "Start The Car" so he could use its own power / brakes to get it off the tow truck. My father says while he was standing there watching the tow truck driver start my car the jumper cables connected to the terminals under the hood began to Sizzle, Shoot Flames, Fireworks, and Smoke was Bellowing OUT from under my Hood. Screaming that something was wrong the Tow Truck Driver Ran Back to the cables discconnecting them.
The following day I removed the alternator and replaced it with a new one from NAPA, i started my car and it was running perfectly, tested the alternator and it was charging the battery 14.6V perfectly as it should be. I decided to take the car for a quick spin around the hood, put it in Drive pulled out and turned right, accellerated turned right once more and not more than 200feet from where I was parked the car DIED immediately, freezing gauges in place, NAvi Screen went Black and that was it. Car would start only when Jumped / Assisted and it would run on its own power fine, but soon as you turned on Radio, Air Conditioning, Put it in Drive and Accel, the car would shut off immediately. Its been this was for 4 months now and its sitting here doing nothing. I checked the Battery which has a charge to disconnect positive in event of accident, thats still connected fine, the only thing i havent checked are fuses and relays. The fuse box for this BMW is behind glove box and you need the arms of a midget to reach anything, I have BIG arms and BIG hands I wear a size 14 shoe US and I cant fit my hands into the damn glove box anyways to do anything so im screwed in that regards. im hoping its something under the hood (fuse box) which is under hood could possibly have something i could change but I dont know what it could be. Any help is really appreciated. thanks

I'm having a similar issue with a 2010 328i. my buddy drive it through a car wash now the turn signals don't work and headlights only come on with the car running. Any ideas?

well i got a n 05 e60 with this same problem and it's been on the shop now for 2 months... they first said it was the CAS and when they repaced it, car was still dead on the inside. They're now saying its a bad fuse box not letting the car ''wake up'' Im already pissed about the situation since its my only car and i feel its been long enough for them to come up with the problem. But till today no luck, waiting on that ''fuse box'' they're saying...

+Dukatti Slim the alarm module on the roof behind the sunroof. Cables were switched with the ones for the interior lights. Just unplug the cables on the roof and try starting the car

this module is under warranty until 8 years or 125000 miles whichever comes first

The modules themselves aren’t manufactured by BMW. Mostly made by Bosch, Siemens, and VDO.
I think the issue with my bmw e90 328i 2010 is almost the same. The instrument cluster (gauge lights) lights are not turning on, the windows won't go up or down, the turn signals are not working, the headlights are not turning OFF even from the rotating switch, they stay on as soon as you start the car. It is showing the service light too. I have tried to reset the battery but it seams like nothing is working for me. Car runs fine, AC is working, lock unlock working.
that is exactly what my bmw e90 335i doing at the moment.
+Isak Iileka i got it fixed, had to get my new LCM (Light control module), and its programming or you can say synchronization with my bmw. cost me $450. But if you get it from bmw dealership, they will take the bill up to $1200-$1500 for sure. Just do some online research, find some local dealers who sells bmw in a big quantity, and tell them this situation.

I have the same problem in my bmw 335i for two weeks now no lights inside.. gauge lights not working. . windows not working.. indicatos and even hazards but the car is just starting normal and drive. . radio and aircon are working
+Isak Iileka try unplugging airbag module under center console if everything works it's a bad module before doing that make sure you disconnect the battery so you don't blow airbags
