BMW 335i No Power issue, Battery check, Fuse Box check, DME check (E90, E91, E92, E93)

- BMW 335i coupe with random power issue. Walking through how to check for B+ cable retrofit to glovebox. How to check battery. How to access DME.
Guys most of the time it's the B+ battery wire issue....the issue is the positive wire going to the fuse box starts go melt from arching etc and no matter if you give power to the front jumper etc there will be no power at allllll.
I've got an interesting issue now, where I still have no power, but power at the JB on the B+ wire. And 0 power to anything in the fuse box. I do have power to the jump point in the engine bay and to the alternator tho 🤷♂️ oh well any help appreciated lol
How do I fix this?
Im so glad I found your video im having this problem. It lost all power after turning it off hooked it up to a jumper got power back now it will crank and not start

@@yrg795 I know personally my issue was a bad fuel pump but before I changed it out ....I disconnected fuse placement #70 keep in mind my car 2008 335i convertible so it may be different for you...Hope this helps and good luck!
Good day. I have a 320d 2011 model. Sometimes when I stop somewhere switch the car off then it just died no power at all then I leave it for a few hours or a day then all of a sudden there is power what could be the problem.
You managed to fix the strange noise in the exhaust, my Bmw sounds exactly the same

Mine had that problem and it was the black relay thats on the fusebox thats on the glovebox

I now it’s not necessary but mine got nicked in the exact spot but my taillight is all messed up
It's the power wire that goes into the back of the fuse box behind the glove box!?!
Same issue here, you’re right indeed. Wiggled that wire behind the glove box and the light comes on but still not enough voltage to crank. You’re right
My 2010 335i is having this problem I put the key in and nothing happens no power or anything and I can’t even open the trunk because there is no keyhole on 2010 models
Mine 2011 and I have no keyhole in my trunk too I had to get into the trunk from inside I removed the bolt and everything

Same here! I had to manually unlock my doors. From the inside pull down the backseat and squeeze through that way to pull the green lever to open my truck😪
Bro I have this back cable that I don’t know wire it connects to. I remember putting my new battery and o had power but couldn’t start my car but not sure if it’s really my ibs system or it’s just cause I didn’t have every fuse connected.
Hay so I notice you said u unplugged the it's and the car had power my 328i wouldn't start I checked the battery There was water in the battery compartment so I drained thst and got a brand new battery I plug it in and before the car had power now it has none! But I plugged that blue cable in before I out the battery back in any idea why the car isn't getting power with a Brand new battery?

All you did was tighten up the bolts
Try replacing fuse for the key fob antenna. When that goes out your car doesn’t recognize your key and goes into lockdown.
Replace ground from body to engine under drivers feet outside.

That's a battery safety terminal (BST)

Hello, have you fixed your car's electronic issue? I have the same problem. This month I am having recall for that stuff.
After I removed all the connectors in the white box in the engine bay and reseated them the problem went away. Not sure exactly which one caused the issue.
Still no issues?
Mine has been for a recall with the previous owner, I'm currently getting dead electrics like the B+ cable symptoms
I had recall from bmw, they changed fuse box and cable going in it for free. Now everything is working fine, even there is no "lights" warning on dashboard as I previously had, now it's all good.

@@user-hf8nj5bq7u He means he disconnected them and plugged them back in making sure everything was connected properly.
Change the battery cable the one front the battery to the front , cut the cable but a small one $30 originally from dealer
The problem it's in the charging system it's in your DME there's probably a loose or broken connection in the dme power🔋 connector

I'm not sure exactly. I went through all connectors and reseated them and don't have the vehicle anymore to see which wire was clipped.
I kinda cringed when you revved the motor on a cold start to 6grand 5 seconds after ignition and then more what the hell did you find I can’t watch any more

@@Thatbluee9x My issue was lucky(cheap) I bought the car (328i e92) used a year ago, and the previous owner put a battery from Canadian tire in the car. Bmw cars are fine to run with aftermarket/non OEM batteries, but if you leave the car sitting for more than a week or 2, it tends to fault the negative IBS. So I ended up replacing the IBS and that solved my issue. If you’re situation is similar to mine then I hope this puts you in the right direction, but if not then I wish you luck.

@@charliewatson9581 I have a 2014 328i that was fine before leaving it sit for 2 weeks without being started while I was out of town and now I can't even push the brake pedal down (push button start) and it doesn't even crank. Does that sound like it could be a faulty IBS?
@@J-Mack269 sounds like a dead battery, check to see if it’s an oem battery or aftermarket
