Congrats bro!!!! I’m not only proud of you but inspired at the same time. It’s one thing to have a vehicle that you show/work on the simpler things. It’s an entirely different thing to do that and let the viewers know you’ve never done this, then do it yourself on video for alll the haters to critique, criticize, etc. You are no longer entertaining a community but educating and indirectly building a knowledge based vessel for others to follow and use you to accomplish their same goals. Glad you building a N54, and even better a 1 series !! Bought an Alpine white on red interior 3 years ago, still loving it. After twins, you have to go single turbo with those CES Kit available ! 👍👍
I will definitely do single at some point, I sort of want to experience all of the "stages" for myself so I can also help others. But single is the goal. And THEN maybe S65 :)

My 1st bmw was a 135i back in 2008. N54 is decent but tons of issues with carbon coking on the valves, too much heat under the hood causing seals and gaskets to fail, the water pupmps a weak spot and fails. Make sure you get a large core intercooler and meth caue heats a killer too

A hood vent on the exhaust side helps a bunch with cooling too. Also all the plastic cooling parts are killers and fails early too.

People really hate on the n54. Had 2 of them in my past. Both FBO.
OEM+ builds, it holds up nicely with proper maintenance. However, single turbo builds stay away, it just get obnoxious and it becomes unreliable.
That car will be gorgeous when orange ;-)
Just blew my turbos today, while I was trying to pull over because I couldn’t where I was, I’m worried I did excessive wear to my bearings, engine isnt knocking but I’m scared lol, just sent my oil off to black stone to Get tested so I can go from there on what to expect, love your videos so much man and I always wish you the best , one of the best bmw content creators 🫶🏻❤️🔥

Yeah this is the first video I’ve seen about Rod Bearings, and I’ve owned my 09 335i now 4 years.
@@JustAirizz I was being sarcastic, N54 rod bearing failure is not uncommon.

I would really appreciate if you were to be able to check the video out on my page thinking I should get my rods done actually have extended warranty but for breakdown cost I still may have to cover so just want to be almost sure.
If not able to see the video is there way I could send video and yess I did get shavings in oil and also came and crank codes with no start now it runs with tapping/knocking.
I would never pull the subframe that’s harder than pulling the engine and it’s from under. But anyways have fun never getting your N54 to work properly. I have a 335is and I want take my hammer to the whole car or any bmw at this point.

I am with, You tube is full of videos of N54, the GTS is not for the mortals and B58 is the new kid in the block.
I sold the 340 when I bought the GTS
UA-cam is full of B58 videos as well, I did B58 videos for a year on my supra and another 6 months on my 340.

You’re putting way to much effort into a car that will leave you stranded out of nowhere. You’ve seen the facts yourself number 6 isn’t getting oil. I wouldn’t trust that engine if it was Non turbo. It’s pos.
