In game trailer as well, at 1:00 you can see the game glitched and failed to render the blokes helmet for a split second. I like that, I like that you can see this was using in game assets.
I don't think it wasn't so much a proper glitch as it was a culling artifact, probably gave the helmets lower priority than they should have, or they're on the wrong layer, whichever system CryEngine uses.
Saw that too, thought I was crazy for a moment.
MagzTV lmao saw it his head had no helmet when the light hit and then boom some how the helmet comes back, good job pointing it out

If you are using Chrome, then try the UltraWide Video plugin.
That's not UA-cam. That's CIG. I've got a 21:9 monitot too and there are videos on youtube in that format. But CIG uploads there Videos in 16:9 with black bars.
Aethid I had a look, the permissions seem a bit invasive.
But it shouldn't really be a problem in the first place. UA-cam just needs native 21:9 support, either as an option upon upload or an auto detect feature. It's not exactly hard.
Hendrik Lippka But if UA-cam could just check for the right size bars which it would tell them it's 21:9 and so it's okay to trim and stretch to fit the screen.

I have to say , i love the Star Citizen soundtracks , specially this . I fits perfectilly to the background video about space, ships and so on . It' awesome . They did a Great job composing it .

This is still the most beautiful trailer they have made. The music is fantastic. The ships are gorgeous. The editing is phenomenal. It's near absolute perfection.

Which track in particular? The writer also said he had the Sunshine Ost in mind when writing the story of Squadron 42. I missed the one this sounds like.
The first minute or so was nice, then it turns into a sort of electro-hanz zimmer theme. Could be better but at least it isn't hollywood temp music.

I like the direction CIG is taking with this music. The traditional uplifting brass and string section classical war music stuff is so overused that it becomes generic. Breaking out of that stale temp music genre is a must for any notable soundtrack. Imagine if BSG had standard classical instead of that amazing percussion/deduk mix. Imagine if Homeworld was just another new agey scifi soundtrack instead of the mongolian throat singing/indian instruments and bleak ambient.
I really hope CIG pushes more into new themes for its music score. This is a promising start.

@Star Citizen Amazing video! I do have one question/remark: if you create a video 21:9, could you then please also upload it to youtube as 21:9. I have a 21:9 screen but now have black borders on all 4 sides and the video is small :(

In the first Episode, it will still be under construction. I'm seeing the Retribution as the final part of Episode 2 though
***** It's not. They confirmed it during either Citizencon or Gamescom that it will only be under construction in Ep 1
***** Squadron 42 takes place a few years before the PU. 2946 is the current year in the SC PU, but SQ42 happens as a prequel.
That's why whatever you do in SQ42 may have slight impact on what happens when you get into the PU

It does not matter anyway, because if you have ever played a Chris Roberts game you would know that big ships are in his games to get wrecked (evidence; the Concordia, the Behemoth, the Saint Hellenes)

I can't play the game. It has good ideas and great carriers. I just want to see a fair campaign game with these assets. Star Citizen academy could be a great success. I wish to see this module finished. If it is good, I'll buy it for sure.
Star Citizen Academy? What is this? I've never heard of that before. Unless of course you referring to Squadron 42. If you've never heard of Squadron 42, it pretty much fits the bill for exactly what you described for a single player campaign. Single player game that they are making simultaneous to Star Citizen.
